Don stated that once I paid the initial payment of $1,295 and they received my paperwork they would contact the IRS and begin work on my case immediately to stop further action by the IRS. I received the enormous amount of paperwork which took a while to complete and returned it to them. I accidentally miscalculated the amount of postage necessary and it was returned. I contacted William McConnaughy several times about the package and it's whereabouts, he was extremely impersonal and almost rude. He emailed the information again to print fill out and return and I did so. Upon receiving the paperwork he stated that he would not continue work on my case until another payment was made. AT THIS POINT he hadn't done ANY work on my case. It is now 30 days later and my situation with the IRS is critical, he is well aware and refuses to help. I told him I wanted my payment back as I have found another attorney here in Charlotte, NC and want to use him. I told him I do not trust him any longer and have no confidence in his ability to help my situation. I feel he is now using our payment agreement to extort money out of me and just want to cut ties with him and his firm. His responses to me have been threatening after informing him that I would be leaving negative reviews for him and contacting the BBB. This is after I offered to let him keep $100 for the trouble although he deserves nothing.

I hired them to handle an EDD issue for my company, but they never even contacted EDD. There was no real work done, no progress, and no results. Every time I asked for an update, instead of getting answers, I received bills showing charges taken from my deposit. I was even charged for calling or emailing to ask about my own case. It felt like they were more focused on draining the deposit than actually helping me. There was zero transparency and zero accountability. Not to mention the tax consultant only wanted to interface using Skype and emails. We figured after paying all year that we deserved a proper office appointment. We didn't sign up for a Skype appointment to our home via our tax preparers home. Needless to say, we felt The Tax Office was no longer a good fit. We did our own return and found that on the previous year, Usman had vastly incorrect information, as if he made it out of thin air, increasing our tax liability for 2023.
