I was here for a Hatha Flow class from 6 pm...and then suddenly instructor said the class is over, let's do savasana. this makes me feel that the class is not too organize and I feel incomplete... A really mix level class... with the instructor helping a much older beginner that has knee problem... I really doubt she can really flow anywhere soon... The instructor though is really patient and work on alignment alot.. that's always beneficial to beginners or intermediate yogi. BTW, I really think all yoga studios should have a washroom on their premise... imagine after you took off your winter boots when you checking in..and then you have the urge........

And at this studio, I didn't break a sweat. The instructor was giving too many instructions. It was hard to keep up with her. She didn't hold the poses for long either. She did give breaks to sip water which was nice. Be careful that not all lockers in the restroom lock properly. The herbal tea is a nice touch. In the class pass instructions and the email yoga tree sends, it isn't mentioned that borrowing a mat is $2. So be aware of that too prior going to class here. I'll skip this spot.

The staff are always friendly and they provide complimentary water and tea and a comfortable seating area if you want to lounge before or after your classes. The change room is also clean. I believe they have two rooms at this location. One for hot yoga and one for regular. The instructors are also very good. I've had no issues with booking online through the website as well as adjusting my membership status and taking advantage of their promotions. If you have any questions or get confused, I highly recommend that you call the studio or ask it in person.

What happened to me feels like a deliberate setup to trap customers into unfair charges. Here are the facts: On December 8, 2025, I submitted an online request on Goodlife website to Temporary freeze my membership until April 30, 2026. My billing date is normally the 9th of each month (CAD $116.52), which is exactly why I submitted the request on the 8th -- to avoid being charged. From that date onward, neither I nor my secondary member ever visited the club again. According to information on GoodLife's website, a frozen membership should cost only $10/month. Yet here's what actually happened: * Dec 9, 2025: Charged $116.52 * Jan 9, 2026: Charged $21.04 * Feb 9, 2026: Charged $69.56 * Mar 9, 2026: Charged $69.56 This is completely inconsistent, confusing, and clearly not the advertised freeze fee. When I called customer service on March 24, 2026， instead of helping, they gave me a series of very complicated, misleading explanations trying to justify every charge and ultimately blamed everything on me. They refused to refund any of the improper charges. The customer service representative just kept repeating many times: "We are not pay-per-visit, and our charges are valid and correct." That's completely beside the point. Of course, I know you're not pay-per-visit -- if I thought you were, why would I be paying a monthly fee at all? Their "reasons" were outrageous: 1. You must submit a freeze request at least 3 days before the billing date. This requirement was NOT clearly disclosed during the online process. 2. Only my primary account was frozen, not the secondary account. There was NO clear option or instruction online to freeze the secondary account separately. Any reasonable person would assume both are included. You charge me 2-persong together and you freeze us separately? This feels like a deliberate trap to keep charging extra fees. 3. Cancellation requires 30 days' notice. Meaning they will continue charging you for another full month even after you try to leave. This is not customer service -- this is predatory billing disguised as policy. I was so frustrated that I immediately cancelled my membership on the same phone call, but even then, I believe they will still charge me again due to their 30-day rule. In summary be aware: * Hidden rules * Poorly disclosed conditions * Confusing billing structure * Refusal to resolve or refund * Policies designed to maximize charges, not fairness This feels like a system designed to take advantage of customers. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I was in the exact same situation with another brand name club. At that time, I was able to temporarily freeze my membership, and later cancel it without any issues. The process was much simple, transparent, and straightforward. I have never encountered problems like the ones I am facing now. This inconsistency is both confusing and frustrating. If you value transparency and fair treatment, Think Twice before JOIN from GoodLife Fitness. There are many other choices out there.

I chose this location as its relatively close to work. I normally engage in the fitness classes and incorporate free weights weekly in my routine. With that said, there's very little space to work around. Not enough benches around, both flat and inclining ones. Also, the stretching area isn't really ideal as its cramped up and if you're stretching during a spinning class, be prepared for a whiff of really stinky people (although good for you for working in a sweat!) There's not enough mats around to stretch either. They do have a good amount and variety of cardio machines so you never have to wait. All in all, at its peak hours it's not too crowded, but there's just not enough space or equipment so if you can avoid going during the lunch or after 5pm rush that would be my suggestion. If spatial re-arrangement of equipment could be done I would advise the team there so that there is more space and feel more equipment is available.

The Manifest studio is massive, and didn't have a mirror - which I prefer! It also has a beautiful view of the ROM. The high domed ceiling is a gentler experience to the more common exposed concrete and wires you see in many spaces nowadays. The reduced heat class had the right amount of heat - hot enough I was sweating, but not so much I was slipping off the mat, or felt overheated. That will of course depend if you are doing a power vinyasa flow or more static class. I did Queenie's class, which I enjoyed, but I have done her class many times before at other studios. Cymetree seems to be choosing from the Yogatree teachers (which the owners also operate) whom are always professional. You might just need to find a teacher and class that matches your vibe. The locker room has new digital locks. It also has a nice natural lotion, which is necessary for me after a hot yoga class. The front desk staff were lovely. My only suggestion would be to put a bench where the shoes are, since I can sometimes barely stand after a hot yoga class. Will be back soon!

I can see a lot of potential for Yoga Tree Midtown to be one of the best yoga studios in the area. - 3 spacious practice rooms that able to offers different yoga style and heated/non heated classes at the same time - Love the 2 studios with windows letting natural light in and the different colour scheme for each studio! - The grand opening schedule offers a diversity of classes: Yin, Jivamukti, Vinyasa, Core, Power, Restorative... you take your pick! - Tea Lounge with Complimentary herbal tea from Herbal Infusions and lemon infused water - All the little things that you need: showers, shampoo/body wash, hair dryers and plenty of props to deepen your practice! Unfortunately, since Yoga Tree Midtown is located inside an office building.. there are restrictions in what they can do to the facilities. - Washrooms are not located inside the studio. Luckily, they are just located right across from the main entrance.... so make sure you go washrooms before you take off your winter boots!! shh.. ask for the secret code! - 2 showers only.... so there might be a wait if you need to take a shower. Hopefully they are smart enough to schedule the classes accordingly to minimize the wait! I will be back again for classes... and I can't wait when they have everything resolved and this may become one of my favourite studios?
