But in the past few years it's has really gone downhill. We moved out in May of this year 2025 after over 12yrs for few reasons: dog waste!!! Smell of marijuana!!! And MAINLY The Uncontrolled ONGOING NOISE at the pool at 1-3 am of drunk parties that was not addressed by management FOR YEARS!!! When you have a unit that overlooks the pool side and some of the amenities you're paying a premium for " the view" but this view comes with pain, sleepless nights with headaches that is ignored and overlooked. When we moved out, the management double charged us for the amount that was already paid and then dragged it for a month and a half telling me that I owed them money after which I sent them screenshots of bank statements that my part has been paid. At the end we were told we were still owing them money for things that should have been covered under deposit that has been made back in 2013 but wait, they couldn't find the original contract because of management and system changes and they could only go back so many years (how convenient) kept calling me and when I tried to talk to the management and the Mark Taylor representatives and it's as if they don't know each other yet they represent one company. Each side, making excuses that they can't open my account and view my transactions. Instead of resolving, they sent me to collection. Never thought that a "luxury" community wouldn't represent itself in the same manner of higher standard when it comes to management and taking care of the people. Exploitative, Dishonest, and Unethical Business Practices…read moreI lived in this apartment complex and experienced firsthand how predatory and dishonest their business practices are, especially when it comes to the return of security deposits. Upon move-out, I was initially charged my entire $900 deposit plus an additional $466 for a full carpet replacement. These charges were completely baseless and seemed to be part of an intentional effort to push renovation costs onto tenants. It wasn't until I began recording calls, compiling video and photo evidence, and asserting my legal rights that they conveniently "reconsidered" and removed the carpet charge, which should never have been there in the first place. Even then, they still kept half my deposit, allegedly for "paint," which I strongly suspect was just another way to squeeze money out of tenants. The apartment was given to me in a disgusting and unacceptable condition at move-in: * Hair in the freezer * Rusted dishwasher * Molded washing machine * Urine stains on the toilet * Bugs in the light fixtures and sink I have video documentation of all of this. There were ongoing maintenance issues throughout my lease. My A/C leaked for a full week before being fixed. The security gate was broken for over 75 percent of my stay with no compensation offered. The leasing office also underwent loud renovations despite being told there were "no plans for renovation" at lease signing, which I also have on video. When I attempted to dispute the false charges, the leasing office gave me the runaround. They referred me to property management numbers that went straight to voicemail, refused to provide anything in writing, and ignored every voicemail I left with no follow-up. Even their so-called "evidence" of the damage, which I requested, was low-quality, blurry, and clearly unreliable. This was a textbook case of malicious compliance. Once I made it clear that I had audio and video recordings of every interaction, including the condition of the unit before and after move-in and move-out, only then did they begin to backpedal. They did not do this out of fairness. They did it because they knew I had the evidence to win in court. They'll likely respond to this review with a PR-friendly line like, "We tried to resolve the issue and reached out to the tenant." This is a lie. I reached out multiple times, left voicemails, and was completely ignored. Now that I've received the partial deposit in the mail, I'm free to share my experience publicly without fear of retaliation. I strongly urge anyone considering moving in here to document everything and prepare to fight for your rights. Or better yet, don't sign here at all. This company preys on people who don't know tenant law and makes the deposit return process a nightmare. They send Richard the special maint guy to ask for good reviews after he does his job fixing something. That shows you how desperate they are to fix their google rating. Pawning your helper to solicit good reviews? After doing his job, and poorly at that. Pathetic. You will have your package stolen at some point. Probably other tenants. Way overpriced for the crap you have to deal with. It was tolerable before Kyndell, but now it's time to move on. Save yourself the hassle and look elsewhere. I promise you that. We had our apt tested for mold and it came back positive. They send Richard in with a moisture monitor he doesn't know how to use. Guy says he's never seen mold either! Extremely Disappointed with My Move-In Experience…read more I was excited to move into Stone Oaks Apartments, but my experience has been nothing short of frustrating and disappointing. From day one, the management team has demonstrated a serious lack of organization, communication, and accountability. On move-in day, I was told my keys would be in the unit at 7:30 AM. I arrived early in 113°F heat, only to find no keys and no one available to help. After waiting outside for over an hour and a half, someone finally showed up around 8:45 AM. By that point, it was far too hot to continue moving in. The problems didn't stop there. I was asked to come in on a Friday afternoon on short notice to sign documents, only to be told that the printer was out of paper and to return on Monday. My assigned parking spot was taken the next day, and I couldn't get the car towed because I never received a tow card. It took all day and multiple phone calls to finally get it resolved. When I tried to clean and settle in, the apartment smelled like smoke and was 90°F inside. The A/C had not been switched to occupied. On top of that, despite confirming in advance that the previous tenant's Cox account would be deactivated, it wasn't, so I couldn't set up internet and had to miss work. To top it all off, after all these issues were supposedly acknowledged by staff, I was still charged a carpet repair fee for damage caused by a previous tenant and their pet. Management confirmed this verbally, but still withheld the cost from my deposit. I've since involved legal counsel to recover this unfair charge. While one staff member (Drew) was apologetic and tried to help, the overall lack of preparedness and follow-through has caused significant financial loss and stress. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Stone Oaks Apartments to anyone. New residents deserve better.

PROS: 1) Office & maintenance staff are amazing! Very responsive and accessible. Maintenence crew go above and beyond, are efficient, professional, great attitudes, trustworthy and truly top notch! 2) Beautiful well kept grounds and 24 hour amenities. Pool, jacuzzi, nice outaide seating and hamocks and such, gym, lots of gas grills, fountains, amazing landscaping that makes me forget I live in the desert, modern stainless steel appliances in the apartment. I unit washer and dryer in a separate small laundry room with some extra shelving like a pantry, garbage disposal, microwave, electric stove, dishwasher. 3) Very safe, quiet, friendly complex. People say hello and are nice but are not in your business. I never really hear sound from my neighbors and they say they don't hear me, even though sometimes I feel I'm sort of loud. I think that just speaks to the quality of the walls and such. 5) I've never had any problems with bugs or pests of any kind. 6) One of the cabinets has a weird angle but otherwise fantastic storage space for a 1 bed! 7) great community events once in a while if you want to participate, but they don't disturb. 8) Wonderful location! Walking distance or short drive to everything you need or could want and more. Beautiful upscale surrounding neighborhoods with parks and small bodies of water (I LOVE and will miss my daily walks when we move!) Chandler is amazing -everything you need close by without feeling crowded! 9) Walking distance to the most incredible, wonderful church, Antioch Community Church. That was a true cherry on top. Please check it out! It's been my home away from home (but still basically at home ) the past 3.5 years. 10) Feels incredibly safe here. I've never felt unsafe in the complex or in my neighborhood. I walk late at night and never feel scared. 11) you can have outside plants as long as they are not on your porch wall. 12) they have services through their app including discounts / connections with a cleaning service. 13) covered parking spot plus literally tons of uncovered guest/extra parking. 14) the look of the apartment itself -granite kitchen counters with a bar top overhang, shower tiles etc are all authentically pleasing and make the place feel bigger. 15) lots of families and kids around but not loud. Very strong community feel. I've noticed much of the community, especially the families, are Indian. I think it's awesome that they seem to have a real sense of community among their families in a beautiful way that I'm not used to seeing. It's fairly easy to make friends here but also easy to keep to yourself if that's what you prefer. 16) The water pressure and ability to make the water super hot in the shower are just AMAZING! 17) Thermostat you control and easy to flip between ac and heat. Fans. A few cons listed below. I really rely on reviews when I move so I want to share these, but no place is perfect. I recommend SP change those locks but if not make sure you are aware of this and just be careful. 2) We are on the side facing ray road and the street traffic can be loud sometimes, especially when trying to sleep. I would try to ask for the the side facing the front gate or the neighborhood behind us rather than Ray. 3) They do raise the rates every year. 4) You do have to pay for services you might not really use like the garbage concierge and fetchbmail service. I just wish you could opt in to pay fornwhat ypu will use instead of everyone being forced in. 6) make sure you get the gate code and save it in your phone. Once in a while the fobs die and you want the code if that happens after hours! 7) We personally got a drinking water delivery service through nestle that has been much less of a hassle and tastes great. I highly recommend that over the tap. Overall! Stop your search, this place is epic! Couldn't have asked for a more wonderful place to call home AND to have made my work from home space since 2020 hit. San Palmas is truly amazing and I know you'll love it
