I looked into cheaper alternatives for grooming. I found horror stories everywhere. I watched groomers put dogs, shaking, on a table to dry. They have cut the nails so badly the dog could barely walk. And those groomers haircuts that looked like I did it, which is terrible. These places are everywhere, including name-brand pet stores and at vet's offices. I found that these places are where groomers start their careers. They mostly learn on-the-job.  No thanks. One of the first and best reasons for picking Sandy is her professional attitude. She has been a career professional all her life.  She later picked grooming as a profession and went to school to learn her craft. Surprisingly, these schools first teach how to manage injuries to the animal.  Sandy made her mind up to never have an injured animal. She meticulously cuts around the mouth with precision. This is a known common injury location on the animal.  She is clear, there should not be an injury to an animal.  To prevent an injury, the groomer must slow their cutting motion.  My Buddy always returns to my home happy and, dare I say, proud of his look. Sandy also invested into a new and very quality grooming vehicle. This is not a trailer or overloaded van, nope. This is a first class truck. Her grooming area is always spotless. I once asked to see some of her tools. I was thinking of buying a quality brush.  I found her equipment to be clean and of a quality build. I have noticed how Buddy's ears are inspected, trimmed inside properly and given proper preventative treatment. She even trims the outside hair on the ear so that he doesn't get food on the hair when he leans over to eat.  Very thoughtful. I get so many complements on my dog's look even after many weeks after his grooming. To me, that is a sign of a great haircut.  She explained to me how she cuts his nails even though he is a black dog. Even the veterinarian injuried my dog's nails because it's so hard to see. The vet said, "sorry and here is some meds to stop the bleeding, no charge." I wasn't happy. Sandy always does this trimming with care. Sandy is always on time and considerate. She is a great listener and suggests solutions with great thought. She's even helped me pick good food and reasonably priced stores. I really enjoy all that she does.
