My house contract price was only $231,000. It went to underwriting and guess what happened? It was denied five days AFTER the close date the buyers chose. To make matters worse, Angelo disappeared in the wind when the loan became shaky. My agent and attorney had to bypass him and go straight to the lender to get any kind of answers. Purely unprofessional and clearly he doesn't know how to pre-qualify accurately. He can say whatever he wants, but unless he's going to help cover these monthly POD fees and help save the house we were going to buy from relisting, he's not done enough to rectify his poor determination. I had multiple offers and went with the one he prequalified. Everyone, don't make the same wrong decision as I did.

For the last 6 months Wexler has had the listing on our townhouse without securing a single offer…read more As the listing was about to expire, we advised them we were changing brokers. We got a call from a manager at the firm offering the following explanation... According to "Tammy," they fired our listing agent 3 months ago for taking overpriced listings. (At the time we were told she left for "family reasons.") Now, Tammy claims, our listing was one of those overpriced listings and it's no wonder it hasn't sold. I asked why this is just coming to light now. It seems reasonable that, if true, we should have been given the correct data and the chance to adjust the asking price if it was indeed too high. Tammy talked in circles, saying they "did everything they should have done." It was a very confusing discussion. Bottom line-for 6 months we have been contracted with a firm that gave us poor advice, hid material issues from us and didn't sell our house. Communication was poor, we had to contact the agents repeatedly for information. And when this significant "overpricing" issue happened, serious enough to lead to an employee termination, we were left in the dark. I do not recommend Wexler Group.
