It's almost enough to make me want to order from them every night, but fortunately for my health and my wallet I practice self control. Bombay 2 Bromley is a fantastic Indian take away which my partner and I order from quite regularly. We're kind of wimps when it comes to spicy food, but luckily there is loads of choice on the menu of milder dishes and the menu is fairly good at describing what each dish contains so no ghastly mistakes are made. We're always told that it will take 40 minutes to deliver (which shows how lazy we are as we live within walking distance) but delivery is usually more like 15-20 minutes after the order is placed. The menu is extensive and the specials are worth trying. What makes me grin (or grimace depending on my mood) the most is seeing the banner hanging from the front awning of how a couple of years ago their place had the best hygiene in Bromley. Despite the grim thoughts that might lead to, the food from Bombay to Bromley has always tasted fresh and delicious and I'm sure we'll be ordering from them for many years to come.

The vegetables here are a lot cheaper yet better than what you would get in Sainsburys…read more Realized this only recently and I think I have stopped going to Sainsburys now. This is not a superstore. Just a small one, like the size of a Tesco Metro maybe. They don't accept American Express. But come on. Who cares really? There are affordable alternatives to every expensive brand in the market. Be it chocolates, biscuits or breakfast cereals (actually a lot more, but I'll just stop here). I've heard some of my friends say that ALDI's milk doesn't last as long as what is written on the can, but I'm yet to find one like that.

As you would expect from discount supermarkets like Aldi and Lidl, you do have to queue for a while because there are only 1 or 2 members of staff at the checkout and you do need to bring your own shopping bags, otherwise Aldi can charge you. Also Aldi do not accept credit cards as payment, only cash and debit cards. We might take all these things for granted in other supermarkets, but Aldi do this in order to help keep their costs down and pass some of lower costs down to us customers. Overall, Aldi offers better quality food than Lidl.
