Despite the pandemic, this place was busy with walk-in customers and courier orders. Pacific Poke has hand sanitizer and they offer gloves/water to their drivers. My husband and I both ordered a large build your own bowl ($16) and added extras like masago ($1.50) and avocado-nori ($1.50). The price is a bit higher than other places, but you get more and the quality is higher. Each bowl was big and filling. The sushi rice was very good. The crab, sustainable ahi tuni and wild salmon were noticeably fresh and flavourful. The toppings are proportional, so that with each bite of rice, you can get a balanced amount of protein and vegetables. I like Pacific Poke more than a few other poke places I tried because the selection of toppings and vegetables are fancier, and the staff are pros. At some other places, there's always someone new and they don't have the system down, so your bowl is either over sauced or the portions are inconsistent.

We picked up the Maui and the California both in sushi rice. They were both so amazing - it's great portions . Big chunks of fish and lots of the other ingredients; compared to other places I think it's great value for what you pay. The owners and staff are very friendly and welcoming. The restaurant is bright , clean and inviting (for when we are allowed to go inside again!). I would highly recommend giving this place a try. It's made the top of my favourite poke places tried in Calgary. Can't wait to try more off the menu!

Surprised to see this place doesn't have any Yelp reviews yet! Finally had a chance to try the poke here, and it's fantastic. I've tried a couple different ones in Calgary, but pacific poke is my favourite so far and the closest resemblance to what I had in Hawaii. Their 'chef bowls' (The Main, The Keefer, The Cali, and The Veggie) are a good sampling of the different combos available, but you can always make your own if you're up for it. The Main sounded like all my favourite stuff so I decided to try it. It has salmon, spicy ahi tuna, crab, shrimp, jicama, cucumber, avocado, nori, seaweed salad, citrus mayo, sesame miso dressing, shoyu, yuzu, and lime juice. I got it on sushi rice (can also get quinoa or kale), and the wasabi crunch mix (can also get some sweet and spicy crunch mix, crispy, ramen, and one more I forget). You also have the option of cilantro, parsley, and sprouts for on top. I watched the staff carefully assemble the bowl. The interior is minimal, but thoughtful, and the focus really does seem to be on the food. The bowl came nicely arranged and the flavours were fantastic. They all blended well and nothing was too overpowering or appeared to be missing. A good amount of protein pieces as well which is appreciated. Honestly not much more to say about the flavour than that it was excellent. It's clear thought was put into the flavour combinations. If you're craving good poke this is the place to check out.

First time trying pine and it was nice. The restaurant bright, open and lots of seating. You can have options to go or dine in. The staff super friendly and service was quick. I ordered the main and my friend had the Cali. Both were fresh and very filling. The bowls are packed full with fresh ingredients. We had the lemonade which was very refreshing on a hot summer day. Overall it was a nice lunch.

Overpriced. Was closed during store hours, only noticeable by pathetic note on the front door.

There are some good stuff about this place…read more I got the Poke Special Bowl. The fish were fresh and the portion was big. The scooper spoon they used was big. They were very generous on the fish. Only thing I didn't like was the rice as a bit hard. I wish it was more soft and warm. But overall, I loved it. Good big generous portion for the price I paid. Too bad the restaurant is not in downtown. It is a bit of a walk from my place (downtown). Definitely can't come here during lunch time. Highly recommend giving this place a try.

But that being said, there are some things they could definitely improve on. We have ordered the salmon, poke special, spicy poke burrito, and their poke hotdogs. Their bowls are great, very loaded and the flavour profile is great. The poke burrito was a mess and wouldn't order again. The hotdogs were prepared horribly, all the times we ordered it, so safe to say that we won't order those anymore as well. Also, the last time we ordered the poke special dog, it was very blah and almost cold. I would say that we would probably come back just for the bowls, if we are in the area, but in my opinion the 17th avenue is a far better location. Also, everytime I enter this store, it smells of something of chlorine, which their other stores don't smell like. So can't truly recommend this location, but if you are in a pickle and crave poke it's not too bad.

It's a clean and charming but small space with only four group-size tables, and long benches along one side of the wall that wouldn't be comfortable for eating. Unless they typically have long waitlists, it might be better to get rid of the longer bench and squeeze-in a couple more tables for individual diners. Their ordering system can be a little confusing, first you order from the menu and then select modifications or extras on their tablet. The tablet is arranged from the restaurant's point-of-view, so it would have been nice to get some guidance and instructions from the waitress on how to use it properly. I'd recommend getting extra fish, and extra sauce if that's available, should you prefer an adequate balance of carbs, proteins, and moisture in the poke. Unfortunately I did find a tiny hair in my meal which could be easily missed, still a No Bueno.

I ordered the Yuzu Poke Bowl (Coconut House Blend, Ahi Tuna). The bowl was ok but it was very salty. The portion size was ok or somewhat small. It would be nice if they added more ahi tuna in the bowl. One thing I liked about Hula is that they have sesame on the side to be added as toppings. From my pictures, you can see how much I added. When I arrived I saw a long lineup. Right away, I went on Ritual and placed my order there. Food took about 5 mins to be prepare (while the app said 10 mins). I think it would have taken the same amount of time if I actually waited in line. So I definitely saved time by ordering on Ritual. Hula is located in Brookfield Palace. There are plenty of seats. Yes they are located in the plus 15. Hula is also located in Vancouver. The menu is very similar. I do like the Calgary location more than the Vancouver location.
