If you're set on ordering a super authentic Spanish meal, this would not be the place for you. With that being said, we thought the food was fantastic--I highly suggest the chicken curry and bacon burger--and the atmosphere was one of our favorites of our time in Spain. Kind of a farm chic feel (if that's even a thing). Great, cheap red wine and their desserts were to DIE for. I'm not even a dessert person, but order the dulce de leche crepe if you want your life forever changed. Also, I don't like cheesecake, but the Oreo cheesecake was a huge favorite among my family. They said it was their favorite cheesecake they've had in Spain and they've had several. For the most part, the servers spoke English and also had an English menu available, which were great bonuses for my family who doesn't speak much Spanish. The staff were not overly friendly, but they weren't difficult either. The bathrooms were super clean and functional. We loved our experience here and look forward to coming back!

This place was totally disappointing. As a vegan I was looking forward to gazpacho and hummus but…read morethe gazpacho was mediocre and the hummus was tasteless. Finally ordered the fruit salad for dessert and they were out. It was a weekend so the meal was prix fixe at €15 and they wouldn't budge even though I received only a tasteless fraction of what one would ordinarily get for that price. There are so many other wonderful restaurants in Bilbao so skip this one!

What a wonderful find! MUST VISIT ON YOUR TRIP!! We were wandering by when we looked through the…read morewindow and saw how modern this place looked. We glanced at the menu and decided to give it a try. They have a wide variety of food. We got several dishes to share. Beginning with table guacamole, they give you the components to mix for yourself with a mortar and pestle. I hate onions and cilantro, so I was able to get my share before my friends mixed them in! Served with crispy chips, it was a nice change from regular pintxos in the area. Next was the ceviche, tuna and sweet potato (with a lot of onions), onions aside the tuna was delicious with a well balanced spice of peppers that were included in the dish. Next up was the Iberian ham cheese quesadillas: perfection! The simplicity of the dish was what made it taste so good. Exactly what it sounds like, but the cheese was delicious. But the BEST part of the meal was the al Pastor tacos! They were better than some of the tacos I had in Mexico City! Perfectly seasoned meat, with just the right amount of guacamole. MUST HAVE!!! Lastly, the desserts! The churro dessert was AMAZING! And the rice pudding was also delicious, light and flavorful! We were all amazed by this meal. Everything was delicious. The most consistent meal we have had by far during our stay in San Sebastián.

I came for lunch on a Monday. The menu is an inventive blend of Peruvian, Mexican, and Spanish. They have menus in English if you ask for it. The atmosphere is casual, but we ended up spending $50 for a two person lunch. The service is friendly. They bring plates out in courses, so it's easy to have a relaxed drawn out meal here. You don't feel rushed. The abodaba tacos were the highlight. The slightly crispy texture of the meat was heaven. The Sweet Potato Causa was a table favorite too!

Our drink order was taken and promptly delivered to our table. I ordered a cod dish (sorry can remenber the name) with the potatoes and chorizo to start. Niki ordered the hake with risotto. Our food came out in a reasonable amount of time. The potatoes and chorizo was incredible. The chorizo was spicy and the potatoes were crisp and all covered with a light cream sauce. To die for! The fish was a nice dish. Cod covered with both a lightly spiced red sauce and a delicate cream sauce. It was different but tasty. Nikis dish which I tasted was pouchini mushroom risotto with a hake fillet grilled. It was again different but very tasty. We passed on dessert since we were so full but we will gave to come back and get a slice of cheesecake.

We shared the chicken tenders which could have easily been a meal for someone. I ordered the stuffed chicken with mushrooms, such a big and delicious portion that I could not finish. Our bartender grabbed the icecubes for my drink with his hands. Luckily, I'm not squeamish. We paid cash and sat down. They clearly wanted everyone out before midnight. They were hauling in their chairs to stack. There were bugs crawling all over the bar. I watched them scurry and hide in the cracks. The room is really neat, but needs a good scrub. The bar stools that have cracked covers need attention. I wish I'd had a chance to eat the famous lamb pinchos. The pictures looked yummy. Prices were decent. There is outdoor seating available.

We ordered a few pinxtos, but unfortunately, I cannot remember exactly what we ordered. However, I do remember that we all enjoyed what we ordered...whatever it was. ;) The service is pretty straightforward and the staff was nice and very helpful in helping us decided what to try. I will say that the overall ambiance was beautiful because the restaurant/cafe has retained a lot of the aesthetic from when it opened in the early 1900s. As a tourist, I thought the prices of the pinxtos and wines were pretty reasonable. Perhaps, if we visit Bilbao again, we should make Cafe Iruña our first stop.
