Despite some other reviews of people experiencing rude customer service here, I've been here many time and have always experienced very helpful and friendly service. The ladies that work behind the counter are courteous and do their best to work quickly when there are people waiting. They offer a lot of different services and seem to do it all very well. I had a REALLY great experience today at packages depot to get a live scan done! Not many places open on the weekends to get it done. It was $57 to get it done here, a little more or less, depending on where you go. Honestly, I think it's great just for the fact that I was able to get it done during the weekend. They only do livescans till 1pm on Saturdays and M-F till 5:30pm and it has to be either debit or cash. So just be prepared. There is a lady and her sister who switch off working the counter. They are incredibly friendly and sweet! As people were coming in to check their P.O. Boxes she knew them by name and there were customers ahead of me that she really took the time to make sure they had everything they needed and help them with shipping and packing even with such a great attitude! No huffing or puffing or making anyone feel like they were a burden. Even though I had to wait, I really appreciated see those positive interactions with each customer before me because I knew I would be treated with the same quality service. I was a little nervous because I had read some bad reviews from previous years, but I am so glad I came to Package Depot for services. It's very close to Christmas and this can be a stressful time for a lot of people. It's so nice to see caring and kind businesses. Maybe they had a change in ownership or change in daily staff but they are nothing at all like what the bad reviews are saying. At this point, people who are having bad experiences are just not fully prepared when they come in and should've called to make sure they are bringing what they need or they don't realize their own tone is rude to begin with. I have been a customer here for 10+ years and have been very pleased with the service I receive. I have a Personal Mail Box here. But my main use is them signing for my packages. I train people so I was wanting to come in and print out about 40×5 about 400 and 500 pages because I need it for training before I even walked in. They were already giving me an ugly stair with an ugly attitude. I came in and told the lady in front what I needed and she just continue to be rude, very rude super fast. I told her she could slow down because she was just saying it with a very bad attitude. As soon as I give her the same attitude she knew that I was aware of it and I told her I would give them the review as well because there's no way that they could be getting customers with the way that they're treating people who are trying to give him business and the owner and business owner as well was there. read more

The people that work here are so rude. They are short and angry. They are way too expensive and I wouldn't use this place, no matter how desperate I was. I would rather walk the box to the location then use this place. If you hate your job so much, find another one don't take it out on your customers. read more

GO TO FEDEX instead no matter what service you need. I came in for livescan fingerprinting and left crying and confused after being told to leave. I just had a few questions since I have traveled so frequently. As the other reviews state, the manager here is the rudest individual. Not only does he have no customer service skills, he literally goes out of his way to make you feel horrible. I made attempts to interact only with the lady working behind the counter after that but then he told her to stop helping me. She helplessly looked at me like there was absolutely nothing she could do - she was trapped. read more

This place is okay. A gentlemen helped me and he was okay but I felt like he was rushing me. When i got there I think it was already half an hour into his shift. Also you can smell cigarette in the store and the aroma was just nasty. When I went he was there by himself I think they should hire another person because it kind there was a few people behind me. Last time I went here there was a younger lady that helped. Everyone that comes here has different reasons too. Mailing out something, making copies or whatever. But the nice thing is I sent something for over night and the next day they called to let you know that it was delivered. It was just pricey though $34. I met the owner before, she told me she owns that place but she was super nice but I don't know if she still does but I hope other people's experience was a bit better than mine. read more

Just an update to my previous post for clarification. There is no confusion as to which business this is as I am the one who personally entered through the doors, handed over the package and paid my money. I'm also the one who waited 5 business days for my overnight package to be delivered to its destination. The package was handed to the employee on a Monday, sadly they were never given to them when they came for the pick up until Tuesday. The address was not entered correctly by the employee even though I handed her a business card with the address printed on it. The owner promised me a refund, he stated he was processing it though it was never completed. This business is not what I would consider ethical, honest or efficient if the employees can't even perform the simplest of tasks. The owner lied straight to me as he stated he was processing my refund, my bank confirmed no refund had been initiated. Is this a business you want to support? It's definitely not one I would recommend or use again. The next time I needed overnight shipping to the same recipient I had no problem at all with another vender. Actions speak much louder than empty words. read more

I was happy to see that there was a closer place to drop off my packages and get photo copys. When I went there today I was charged 1.50 for a regular black and white copy and 1.00 for additional copies. I didnt have to continue but we waited a while and I didn't want to go somewhere else. Just don't think we will go back there that's to expensive. read more

I was a customer renting a mailbox from this business for over 5 years. The owner is unbelievably rude, & has no qualms about it. Multiple times I felt very uncomfortable for how he treated the ladies working there. Every time my payment was due, the owner actually teased or insulted me for not paying for the whole year (which has no discount from the quarterly price, so would not benefit me in any way). Later, he began suggesting that I get a more expensive box, & then actually told me he would refuse packages that I was being sent because they were "too large". When I asked what the size limit was, he didn't have a specific answer, but told me "we are not a warehouse". The item he threatened to refuse was the size of a tire, not an abnormally large package, but something that was shipped through a regular service (not freight). He then began telling me that I was having too many packages sent there, & that they would refuse them if I got any more; this is for a PAID MAILBOX SERVICE. When I told him I was not able to receive mail at my address, he just told me again that they wouldn't accept any more packages. Any questions I asked were answered angrily. At that point I didn't know what service I was even paying them for, & why he was so upset to provide me the service I thought I was paying for, so I took my business elsewhere. I would not recommend this service to anyone. Even going in to not rent a mailbox but just send a package, you're risking being put in a bad mood by the horribly discourteous owner or the understandably disgruntled employees. read more

I was never offered additional insurance and never thought about it, Fedex reimbursed me $100.00 the package depot didn't refund my $47.00 for shipping only $21.00 after telling me that they would refund my shipping in full . This place is over priced. The service is painfully slow and the owner is a total jerk. My boyfriend had to send a tennis racquet to Jew Jersey using USPS and he said it would cost 80$ not including the box. We then went USPS and sent it for 10$. The difference is shocking! Not to mention how much time it took before he told us how much it would cost. This place is a total waste of time. I've come here on a few occasions to drop off prelabeled packages and the bosses attitude is consistently awful. Only come here if you want him to ruin your day and attitude. read more

Needed notary services for my husband and myself. Will never use this business again. The "Gentleman", and I use that word loosely, was very rude. The certificate of acknowledgment on the document had the incorrect wording on it, and I pointed this out. He stated the document was from Minnesota, which has nothing to do with what type of certificate is correct. When an ACK is taken in CA, you use the CA compliant ACK, which has the correct wording and you attach it to the document that has the signature being notarized. I guess he was annoyed that I said something. This guy is operating a business and he is just rude. I would never recommend or refer anyone to this business and I refer many, many people to notary services in town. read more

I have been patronizing this store for years and I've always tried to give the owner the benefit of the doubt. But today was bad. The customer service was non-existent. The owner was rude to everyone who came in the door. Most of the customers just put up with it. This is hardly the first time there has been poor treatment of me and my family in this store. The owner is always tacking on extra fees, quoting one price and then charging another for shipping or faxes. Today I finally refused to pay for an additional fax charge that he added on after the fact and he went ballistic. There were 4 other customers in line behind me in the store and he made several nasty comments to me, calling me cheap, using profanity... It was awful. After today, I truly believe the owner of Package Depot is unstable and should not be interacting with the public. Disgraceful. read more

I would give zero stars if I could. I got a note on my door from ups stating my package would be available for pick up at Package depot the following day, since there was no one home to receive it. I went to Package depot the following day (Saturday) in the afternoon. the lady at the front counter attempted to find the package. she stated it was not there but it would for sure be there on Monday. I returned on Monday and the clerk recognized me and started to look for the package. she was unable to find it. the owner got involved and had the worst customer service. I am 9 months pregnant and he found the need to raise his voice at me. I explained its not an issue that I had to come back a second time to his location to pick up my package. the issue is that i was promised it would be there. the clerk that attend me on Saturday admitted to stating the package would be there on Monday. the owner went on stating no one promised it would be there. I said excuse me but you were not here on Saturday and since you have the worst customer service i have ever had to deal with i am done speaking with you. he continued to raise his voice this time blaming me stating i should have been home when the package was delivered. Finally a ups driver came in i asked him if he would be so kind to check the status of the package location. he checked with the driver that was assigned the package. when checking it he came to find out that the package had been delivered on Monday to a neighbor. the package is a $400 package that required signature. im unsure why they deliver it to a different location. bottom line is I hope i never have to deal with this location. the owner is a scum bag. read more

Worse place to go for a notary! The owner is incredibly rude and apparently doesn't know how to notarize a document properly. Our loan documents just got get kicked back for a third time due to the owner's ERROR!!! We have had to pay numerous times due to their incompetence. We will be reporting this notary to the secretary of the state for their gross negligence. read more

I was working in Visalia temporarily and rented the mailbox. After 3 months I've moved back to Los Angeles ,before leaving I had went into the store and talked to the owner telling him I was closing the mailbox and moving. I had been paid up for 3 months pass the time I moved away. Today I received a call from the manager telling me I have a package and mail. This is the second time in two months I have gotten a call from this place insisting on my credit card to forward junk mail and magazines I did not order. The owner kept interrupting me as he would not allow me to talk. This is a very desperate greedy business owners that will do anything to bill you. Don't ever go to this place. All the people are correct, they are rude. They think they know it all and they are doing so much for you. I was dropping off a package since it was a UPS drop off they said they would tape it up for me and help with the label I said I would stay to help and they pretty much pushed me out of the store. I trusted they would do it but then Amazon never sent me anything on my return which they usually do so I called to check if they did and he was rude and kept telling me it was a stupid question they don't keep things, also it was a courtesy for them to tape it. He has a rude and condescending tone the whole time and I mentioned that he didn't need to be rude and he said I didn't need to questioning him and be rude and hung up on me. They forward my mail and make sure everything is correct by calling me and making sure my packages are shipped securely! The man who works here is very nice and, when I drop my packages off here they always get delivered.

My husband and I go there for all our mailing needs and the manager is usually the one working, he is always kind and very helpful. They even keep a record of all your transactions in case you ever need a ship date or an address that has already been sent too and much more. I find this place to be wonderful and will continue to do our business with them which is quite a bit. So thank you for all your help and great customer service. read more
