This woman-owned business moved into the old Popcorn Alley suite at Casey's Mini Mall in downtown Hobbs. Their grand opening was on February 7, 2026. Flourish is a boutique with mostly women's clothing. It's a gift shop with some really fabulous pieces of jewelry like the Wallqa line. The necklaces and earrings were made by Ecuadorian artesians. Such eye-pleasing and unique pieces! Finally, Flourish also has local market booths: eggs, flour, cookie mix, muffin mix, syrup, honey, candies, lotions, balms, and more. I finally popped in yesterday, February 12, 2026 just to check the place out. I walked out with two pairs of really cute earrings for just $3 each. One pair is the breast cancer awareness pink ribbons! I had been wanting some to honor my late aunt. The other pair consisted of red hearts with the words "I love u" on them. Much like the owner I am so over all the Valentine's Day garb and mushy stuff - so ready for Easter. But she's a really sweet lady and very welcoming... I only wish that her background music hadn't stopped playing. I love music - any kind of music when I'm shopping. I also picked up a locally made bag of fudge brownie mix for $10. My daughters and I will be making these together on Valentine's Day morning. There is street parking and a few lots in the area. Yet another great place to find gifts, particularly for all the girls and women in your life.

My daughters and I were warmly greeted by two busy employees on May 9, 2026. There were new gift items predominantly in the front surrounding the checkout area. But there is also a vintage (not quite yet antique) room with an entrance slightly behind the registers. Then the rest of the shop has multiple booth spaces of individual sellers. Their items range from new to old. Fashionable to collectible. I really like their jewelry counter, although, I wasn't there to shop for myself. My youngest daughter bought me a beautiful set of earrings from one of the back booths. They are precious! For my mom, I knew she would love a new candle. The Superstar scent ("Calabrian bergamot, white copra, mimosa blossom, rose buds, solar jasmine, davana, cedar, sandalwood, and musk") by Tyler Candle Company smelled amazing. I also bought a jar of Cactus Bloom-made sweet/salty pecans as well as a jar of salsa for her. My future sister-in-law finds jewelry pieces here that she loves, so I know I'll be back.

Sheri's House of Hope is a non-profit organization in Lea County, New Mexico, that supports "women…read moreand children survivors of domestic abuse." Their Thrifty Boutique is located on Turner Street five blocks from the police station. When another donation drop-off center had a sign on their door that they were no longer accepting donations for 2022, I decided to see if Sheri's was available. Prior to this day, I had never been there. The ladies who were working here on 12/9/2022 when I dropped off donations were welcoming and friendly. Most of the items are women's and children's clothes and shoes, but I saw jewelry, girls' hair bows, and a plethora of other items. From now on, I most likely will be bringing my items worth donating to Sheri's - especially after reading about Sheri and her mother's efforts to change law enforcement mindset about victims of domestic violence. Under no circumstances should anyone - female or male - be a victim of domestic abuse! Please help make others aware of this tragic nonsense by donating & encouraging others to donate to Sheri's.

I shamefully admit I have been here since they renovated last year (2024). It's bigger, better, and addictively charming. My daughters chose a freshie (car air freshener) for their dad. He's going to love it. Their selections of freshies is vast. Almost overwhelming, but you're welcome to open the zip-locked bags and smell the various scents. We picked up some Valentine goodies also. The young lady working solo at the register on 1.20.2025 was very professional and welcoming. I thought the first room was it then I continued to two more large rooms. She went out if her way to show me the most adorable bath and body care items she ordered for the Christmas holiday. As of 9/19/2023 she was building a new shelving unit and unboxing items like bath bombs and lotions - perfect affordable stocking stuffers. I picked up a few items for my daughters' nana's birthday. She is going to love the earrings, lip gloss in the shape of a wine bottle, & the adorable little knick knack we got her. All for just a little over $32. Plus she gift wrapped it for me! I was so excited to learn that the owner of the previous business still owns this building and has really cool stuff still. These are vintage items, not antiques. I'm vintage. Or so I like to tell my kids since I was "borns in the 1900s." Bruh. *face palm* They had cookies & lemonade for us to enjoy while we perused the multiple small rooms of items. She has some women's clothing, jewelry, tumblers, and so much more. Adorable shop! Very affordable prices! Support local businesses.
