Perhaps, because this would lower their fees. It would be an easy matter to ask clients their age. Interesting tax advisors that don't advise you to take exemptions. If you figure it out on your own and file on your own behalf, they will not refund any prior payments you made to them that were made on OVERSTATED property valuations.

However, we were very fortunate to find Fowler Tax and they have been absolutely fantastic preparing our tax returns for the past five years. Peggy Price is terrific, she is one of those rare people that has a great customer service ethic as well as a great head for numbers, explaining things in terms that non-accounting people (like me) can understand. She stays on top of all the changes to the tax laws and has been very adept at guiding us thru the maze of tax laws, including the big changes to the tax laws two or three years ago. I highly recommend Fowler tax without reservation, and have, in fact, recommended them in the past to my friends. I did call her back to kindly let her know I already found another CPA. She convinced me to drop my CPA and went with her instead just to string me along for over 2 weeks with no intention of working on my taxes. She also made accusations about how I switched CPA every year which I have been with the same CPA for over 20 years. She would ask for sensitive documents; I would upload them to the portal within hours. Then I do not hear from her for days. She would text me again days later saying she has questions and would like to schedule a phone/zoom/google meeting. Then I would respond saying I can talk and asked for a time that will work for her. Saturday was one of the options she gave me so I asked if 1pm works for her, she then accuses me of not being reciprocal and weekends are her rest and family time. I will be filing a complaint to the State Board of Accountancy. She is very unprofessional and unethical. I would not recommend her to my worst enemy.
