We were impressed with the store's extensive inventory, which included a wide selection of items for hunting, shooting, outerwear, and archery. I cannot say enough about the great service I have received at Paducah Shooters Supply. Chance has always went above and beyond to help me. Not just Chance, but the entire staff in the firearms and bow departments have always been great to deal with. I have bought several items from there because they have always made me feel welcome and appreciated. Also, the clothing items that I have purchased have been well made and reasonably priced. I took an old and much abused A5 Browning to them and asked them to "restore it". Restore is an under statement. It was in terrible condition. The restore list I wanted is simply is to long to list here. Long story short, they did it. The gun turned out looking new. I am really pleased with the end results. The person I dealt with was Mr. Charles Rubey all by email. Mr. Rubey was most pleasant through the entire transaction and I am certain I stepped on his toes many times. It took a lot of patiences on everyones part to compete this restore. But the end result is great. I want to thank Mr. Rubey and his entire crew for a job well done. read more

Brought my Beretta 92fs in for a trigger upgrade and some of my parts were swapped out ..the barrel no longer matches the bluing on the slide ..the locking block falls out when I removed the barrel and the bottom of the slide has gouge marks on it ...I regret not somehow marking the parts ...never again the wear on the parts look like 20k rounds through it ...it no longer shoots accurately read more

If you carry a weapon to PSS mark all the parts in order to insure that you get the original parts back. I left a Colt HBAR with them for trigger work. When I got it back....well it had some "different" parts on it. Like and upper receiver, barrel, bolt and bolt carrier group. Still had the same serial number so I could prove nothing. read more

I have read the negative reviews, and I must say this has not been my experience. I have used them 3 times over the course of several years 1. Check/inspect a gun, repair/replace a minor part. I carried the gun in, explained the issue. Gunsmith took it in the back, 20 minutes later I was on the way out the door. 2. Bought a new Remington 1187 youth, 20 ga. 6 rounds fired and extractor broke. It was covered under warranty. Remington said there was an issue with the metallurgical alloy on a certain production run. Remington created a customer service warranty repair ticket. Again I carried the gun there, explained it was a Bday present, what happened, and handed the repair ticket . Approximately 20 minutes later, out the door. No issues since. 3. Today I carried in a 50+ year old gun. It had a feeding issue and has sat in a relatives safe for 15+ years. Again, I explained the issue. In the back it went. Action spring, and feed latch replaced, they cleaned it up ( because it was filthy). Approximately 30 minutes later, and well below what I expected to pay. I was out the door, with a family gun, that 3 generations will have used come opening day of Dove season. My drive was over a hour each way, and if the need arises, I will gladly make the trip again. I will say this. Each time I have been there, someone is constantly answering the phone for price quotes or something. They open at 9am, and I got there at 915am and there was already 5 people in front of me at the gun counter. While waiting, at least another 5-6 people came in. read more

Walked in the store today and was shocked to see that not a single employee and 99% of all consumers were not wearing masks during the height of a pandemic. People appeared proud/smug - apparently the majority of gun owners/sportsmen feel they have "the right to be as stupid as we want to be!" I was prepared to drop some serious coin on hunting gear and a new gun but I just got the hell out of there just as fast as I could! Wouldn't suggest anyone with half a brain patronize this "business." read more

Best Gun selection in Paducah and has a range indoors. Staff are friendly enough and help you talk to you when they can. The only downside is that their range is a bit subpar. read more

I've had great luck with this store. They've got a great selection of hunting gear and lots of guns. I recently purchased a used AR9 carbine. I was able to test fire it in their range prior to purchase. Have also used the in house gunsmith department to fix a Browning 7mm mag and a Remington 870 over the last couple years. read more

My experience with this dump echos everyone else who actually used them for work (the one good review is by someone who thinks the people there are cool, not a customer). I purchased a Marlin model 1895 that had a severely canted rear sight. I contacted marlin and was instructed to send it to PSS. Rifle was sent off in June. PSS couldn't do anything with it because it needed to be rebarreled, so they immediately sent it back to Marlin. Marlin rebarreled the rifle and returned it to PSS on 8/3/17. All PSS needed to do was test fire it and send it back to me. I called on 9/11/17 to inquire on progress and was told it had been fired and was about to be shipped, so they'd already been sitting on the gun for over a month. When I called again on 10/2/17 to find out what the hell was going on I was told that they had recently had a fire (haha, good) and it was going to be another week before it could be sent. So they obviously sat on it another 3 weeks before the fire. I started contacting them again in the begining of November, and was placed on hold and hung up on multiple times. I went back to trying to work through Marlin and after a two different calls, took all of my information, including all of the dates I had contacted PSS and what BS I was told. They promised me that it was being sent to the regional rep and placed on priority. I finally received my rifle back on 12/5/17 minus the soft case I sent it to them in. They took 4 months to test fire my rifle and put it in the mail. This place is a joke. I don't plan on buying another piece of junk Freedom Group firearm or being in Paducah KY, but if I ever am, I promise you, I'm going to stop in there. read more

I'll never have anything else sent to Shooters Supply in Paducah. They lose your stuff, get mad if you call to check on an order, tell you not to call because they will call YOU when it comes in. Then they forget to call when the item has been in over a week, get email addresses wrong for FFL info, causing you to lose the item you paid for, then they over charge for transferred. Instead of 20.00 for 3-5 lowers like everyone else, it's 60.00. Last time I deal with them. read more

A 12 gauge Remington 11-87 chambered for 2-3/4 and 3" shells was sent to Paducah Shooter Supply with cycling issues for repair in May 2013. After return the firearm continued to have cycling issues. In the follow-up conversation with the gunsmith (ID on invoice as JC), the customer was advised that a Rem 11-87 would not operate properly with light target loads. The PSS work order invoice stated that the mag cap was replaced because the swivel mag cap on the piece interferes with proper locking of the mag spring retainer. The gunsmith was not correct about either the light loads or the mag cap. The Super Magnum (3-1/2") needs an extender ring provided at no cost by Remington to properly fire the 2-3/4" light target loads but the standard Magnum (3") does not. The comment about the mag cap interference is complete hogwash. The mag spring retainer is at least 1" below the top of the mag cap. There is no way there could be interference. The gun still malfunctions; the money spent with PSS was wasted. Other than selling a new mag cap, one cannot tell that any service work was done. Unfortunately, the Remington Company lists PSS as a preferred Repair Center for their guns. It is suggested that anyone planning to use PSS, or any of the Remington recommended centers for that matter, check out their customer satisfaction rating on the various Internet gun forums. read more

I bought a gun off this company from gun broker. I called them on Tuesday via the messages to settle the payment and give them my FFL to ship to. Sunday night someone in this town tried to go on a spending spree off my credit card number and they never charged me for my gun. The shop was very rude when I contacted them and stated what had happened and basically just went on defense saying it's not their fault. I have never been to the state of Kentucky ever in my life. So if they took my credit card on a Tuesday and didn't charge it where did it go? Someone there either took it or sent it off to someone else. Kinda bs cause I have had this card for 4 years and this would of been my 4th transaction on that card it stays locked in my safe. People should watch this company cause if they leave credit card numbers laying around they prob leave ATF apps with your social on it laying around. Buyer beware. read more

Favorite gun store to go to. Plenty of nice guys there that I've come to know now. Good prices on things, they will work with you on prices and payment. I even had a time where I gave one guy a spare part for a multitool that I didn't need and he gave me a discount on all my purchases, because his tool broke and he needed it. (for that day, I didn't run and get everything in the store at a lower price) Genuinely nice people there, and knowledgeable too, at least the guys in gun and knife sales. I had a slight hiccup in repair at once. One guy wanted to put my muzzle brake on with the top port facing down, thinking that was how it went. Quickly fixed it though, and the install was free as I had just bought the part from there the same day. read more

If I were able to give them no stars I would have. I sent my Remington 870 express tactical in because it was rusting no matter if it was in the safe or not. And if you didn't already know this Paducah shooters supply is the place that Remington uses to do some of they're warranty work. So the gun got sent it them in November of 2015 with the rust issues. So knowing that Remington had a lot going on with the 700 triggers i didn't expect it back fast nor did i expect them to take this long. They had the gun until the first of the year, and i called them to see what the status was. They tell me that they are working on getting with Remington and getting the matter resolved, they said that they would call me with any update. so i waited....and waited...then about 3 weeks later called again. The head gunsmith was out but they took my name and number down and said that they would give me a call with an update the following day. The same thing was said for the following 3 to 4 days, but i never got a call or email. Finally I called again and was able to speak to the head gunsmith, he tells me that my gun was getting a new receiver.....but I told him yet again that the entire gun rusts not just the receiver.....he said that that was what Remington said to do. Well I called Remington and they couldn't answer anything and were completely useless. They said that they would call me with answers, but no call. I emailed Remington twice never got a response. I call PSS again and they said that they were going to send my gun back and I should get it on Friday. Well Monday I still had no shotgun so I called again and PSS said that they sent it on Friday ( which is not what I was told i was told that they had already sent it) and that I should be getting it one day during the week. I said "whatever just please give me a tracking number for the order so that I know when and where my gun will be". He says ok i can do that but I'll have to email it to you.....I said that's fine just please send it me.....never got that email. I called Remington to complain and ask why they never got back to me and they acted like they never knew anything about the ordeal and said that they would get back to me. My gun just came in today ( 02/23/2016) with no way of knowing that it would be here i just lucked out by my wife being home when UPS showed up. And guess what....rust residue was all over the white packing in the box and the new receiver that they took almost 4 months to put on was also rusted. My advice is if you ever have any warranty work that needs to be done to your Remington just pay the money and have a gunsmith do it. They will just send it to these idiots and they will put your gun in a corner and leave it for God knows how long. read more

Remington had me send two rifles to them for warranty repair. One month later received only (1) ONE of the $899 beautiful wood stocked high polished blue rifles back completely marred up barrel and stock. I mean a lot of Visible damage. Had to return that to Remington for repairs of their damage. (4) Four months has past and have not received my other rifle back. They are very rude and disrespectful when you call them like they are almighty. Every time I've checked on the status of the second rifle they would say it's been sent to Remington factory which was totally untrue they had my rifle. So after reporting them to Remington which was a joke several times, Remington finally made contact with Paducah and demanded the rifle be sent into the factory for a repair obviously four months ago they determined were not able to do. While I fully understand not being able to repair everything the fact they kept my rifle for four months being completely untruthful and rude is pathetic. Destroying of my other rifle during the repair was also pathetic sending it back in that deplorable condition when it was pristine. Anyone who gives them a positive review is either a close friend or employees family members. In 40 years of dealing with firearms this was my worst experience and Remington will never see another dime out of me, my family or friends as they have terrible customer service these days. read more

I sent my Remington 700 bolt action in for repair . I was told this is where Remington sends warranty problems for repair. I sent my gun with my 3x9 redfield still attached, now I wish I had removed my scope. It was the clearest scope a person could ask for when it left. Upon return the scope was useless and Paducah shooters ( Charlie ) says it was just the scopes time to expire. I do not believe him for a second, something went wrong and my scope suffered due to it. I will not be using Paducah for anything anymore and am going to talk to Remington about this issue. Good ole Charlie wants to lean the blame towards shipping. read more
