As we live 40 minutes from Paducah I called the store to verify that they still had the piece put back for us. The girl who answered the phone could not have been more put out with dealing with me on the phone. She informed me that they do not put items back or on hold. She put me on hold and went to look for the item, but could not find it. So I asked her if she could check to see that they had the item in their inventory so that I could come pick it up. She told me they did, so I headed to Paducah. When I got there I asked if they could check on the item. It was amazing to me how little conversation they had with me and were not welcoming at all. It was a very cold transaction which is amazing to me as it is Christmas time and you would think that they would be happy to make a sale. Obviously they had the item and I was able to get out of there with it however a little more warmth would go along way with making for good customer satisfaction.

The owner, Priska, is the heartbeat of this wonderful vintage/antique store. Priska is so friendly and knowledgeable. What an impressive selection of items! I've been to many antique shops, but the Victorian Parlor has more variety and "good stuff" than anywhere I've ever been in the U. S. One could get lost for hours in this store. It's a glorious trip back in time! The Victorian Parlor is located in lovely quaint downtown Paducah. The store was once a Western Union office. The flooring and walls bear evidence of this! I would happily return to Paducah and The Victorian Parlor anytime. And hope I get a chance to do that soon! You should go!
