Any referral I've asked for, she has told me I need to figure that out with my insurance, myself. She breaks everything possible into multiple visits so that billing happens as much as possible. For my last appointment, I had a urinalysis that she admitted she never reviewed, even though it was a severe issue that needed immediate care. I had to make a new appointment a week later to review those results because I still wasn't feeling well. When I told her it was unacceptable that she never reviewed my results, she said "it's Monday" and "you're not my only patient", I said it's been a week and that's a terrible way to treat a patient. She back tracked immediately and said she did review my results and never followed up because she didn't need to. She then began being very condescending to me and even told me she doesn't need to mother me or check back in (and denied telling me to call her if I needed a medication change, as my infection was a tricky one to treat). I again, told her this is very condescending as I was just following exactly what she told me to do. She actually hung up on me during this telehealth video call. She is truly the only PCP that was available when I moved here and it is clear why. The office itself is so gross and creepy. She's cared a lot more about my outfits I wore to my appointments, than my family's colorful cancer history! This was my final straw after her lack of care for 2 years, so this is probably a blessing in disguise for me!

I will not be taken advantage of and will always stand up for myself and the red flags this place was waving did not fly with me. 1) They want you to sign a document stating that they can charge you a day before a visit (they say it is for telehealth only but the "legal document" does not specify telehealth). 2) Go to pay your copay $1, but surprise there is a $10 minimum charge and I never carry cash. Not anywhere in their signage or documents does it go over a minimum. The old Indian man at the front office tried to tell me I can't go anywhere like a store or restaurant and pay less than $10....WRONG!! I already tried to leave the office because they couldn't conduct business properly and as I'm walking out they called me back to the desk and try to explain more, as I'm saying that they can not charge me more than the $1 copay the office man said that I would not be a good fit for the office...DUH!!! I was already on my way out the door. 3) The office is disgusting, I have to unfortunately go where my insurance is covered and I made a poor choice going here. I can't believe this place is still in business. It's so unfortunate for those who don't have access to better care than this. I thought I liked the Dr. and Nurse Ann, but the front desk staff and their policy is atrocious.

To say this has been a trying year is an understatement. She was recently released from the hospital for pneumonia and we brought her to stay with us in New Jersey to hopefully get her moved back up here (stubborn). While she has been up here she started coughing up brown flem. So we called her Doctor to see if they could prescribe something to help ease the cough. When we called we spoke to the receptionist who told us it was after hours (even though it was 4:30 and they close at 5:00) and that they would have to call the after hours doctor and see if he could prescribe medicine. About a half an hour later Dr. Phifer calls he did not say who he was on the phone (phone was on speaker). And when my mom asked him a couple of times he was very very rude (he said yeah what do you want, (among other non-professional words) and said you called me. I got on the phone and told him he was on speaker and that she is very sickly and that was no way to speak to her. From my little experience i had with him he was rude, could care a less about her and just wanted to get off the phone. I think we were interrupting his 4th of July weekend. Never in my 53 years have i heard a doctor be so rude to a patient. If i didn't hear it for myself i would not have believed it. If he spoke that way to my very sick mother how does he treat other patients who do not have the strength or understanding of how to even write a comment.
