Although they were patient and even helped fix parts of my paintings, I always felt dependent on them. Once I left class, I didn't know how to continue on my own, and my paintings never had the confidence or impact I wanted. Ms. Mou completely changed that. She demonstrates techniques but never paints for her students. Instead, she teaches you how to think like an artist, encouraging you to develop your own style. She guided me through paintings I never thought I could create, and now many of my finished pieces proudly hang on the walls of my home. After seeing my own progress, I transferred both of my children to Ran's Art Studio. The biggest surprise was my son. He is very talented but also very opinionated and difficult to teach. He had worked with several teachers and even private instructors, yet had reached a plateau and rarely accepted guidance. During his trial class with Ms. Mou, he looked at the painting assignment and immediately said, "There's no way I can paint that." Ms. Mou simply smiled and said, "Follow my process, and you can." A few hours later, he had finished a painting that amazed even himself. On the way home, he told me, "Mom, I want to keep learning from this teacher." That was the moment I knew we had found the right teacher. My daughter has also grown tremendously. Her artwork has become much more sophisticated, and she has gained confidence in expressing her own creativity. What I admire most is that Ms. Mou never asks students to copy her. Even in group classes, every student creates something unique. She encourages independent thinking, creativity, and personal expression while building strong artistic skills. The director gave a lecture to these parents and said something like "if you're only going to enroll your child for a short period of time then you might as well don't enroll your child because in order to see some results you need at least couple years." Art class should be a fun place with welcoming atmosphere, in art, you don't have to try to convince us or say much about it, it just shows it from how you interact with others.

Before starting teach, all the teachers received a well training not only in art profession but also in children education. Regarding the curriculum, I am not sure what does that mean for "The Art curriculum they use are not American, but Chinese (from Taiwan), ". Yes, they teach Chinese Ink drawing in a very unique way, but my son also learned 3D house interior design, sculpturing using recyclable materials, sketching, water coloring, and a lot of different kinds of very creative curriculum. During the party, guests kept asking me where I found her as they were amazed at the beauty and detail of her face painting art. Some guests were also interested in hiring her for their future events. Her balloon twisting skills were also amazing. She created a pair of angel wings that some of the girls wore thruout the party. NO STUDIO FEES, so all you are paying is the price listed on the pottery itself. The store has a good amount of tables for parties of 2-4. And also 2 rooms dedicated for birthday or corporate parties. There's also 1 restroom onsite. As well as a separate sink outside the restroom to wash your hands when needed. They have a small selection of snacks and drinks for purchase, but still a nice option. It's a clean environment and the young staff are very friendly. Music is often playing in the background while you concentrate on your painting. My only recommendation for improvement is to provide a more sturdy plate or tray for the paint. Currently customers just squirt the paint on a card stock paper (similar to the size of a large index card) and are supposed to take that back to the table for painting pottery. It would feel much more secure and sturdy to carry with an actual tray or paper plate for the paint. I also felt like the paint was dripping off the edges of the paper since there was no lip and paint colors kept merging together since the paper index card wasn't laying flat. They also could have offered a few more paint color options. All in all, it was a great experience and so nice to have a crafty activity close to home. Pottery is usually ready for pick up within 1 week. Candles are ready to be taken home same-day.
