This was such a beautiful picturesque event! A few moms got together for a paint & sip and we LOVED the entire experience. First of all, the property is absolutely beautiful and it is so much better than being cooped up indoors in some paint studio. You feel like you're on a retreat. Second of all, the instructions were very specific and we were very well guided throughout the process. I have two left hands - and art is definitely not my forte. However, even for someone like me- the painting was a success! Last of all, the food was phenomenal. I love authentic Indian food- and the food was very delicious and added a wonderful touch to the entire experience. I HIGHLY recommend coming here for a GNO, team building, or just to enjoy with friends. I am excited to bring my kids here for a party some day.

Wow! What an unforgettable experience at Paint and Picnic! I was planning my daughter's 17th birthday and originally thought of doing a picnic with a "paint with me" activity. While searching for vendors, I came across Paint and Picnic and I'm so glad I did! The website was easy to navigate, and everything was clearly laid out. I reached out to the owner, Sophia, and she responded quickly and answered all my questions. Booking was super easy, and once it was confirmed, everything was handled--setup, food, decor, and paint supplies! The venue is absolutely beautiful--relaxing, cozy, and perfect for pictures. Sophia works with a small local vendor in Berkeley for food, and each sandwich was customized to our guests' needs. I love that she supports small businesses! The paint session was fun and easy to follow, and all the girls loved it. Sophia is kind, professional, and incredibly accommodating. I didn't have to stress about a thing--just showed up and enjoyed the day. Highly recommend Paint and Picnic if you're looking for something unique, stress-free, and beautiful. You won't regret it!

Had a lovely experience here and felt transported to a Spanish Villa. The location is beautiful and the long driveway allows for a large number of cars if you are wondering about parking. Our group had about 14 cars and they all fit inside. The instructor was very sweet and had a good pace. It was fun and felt therapeutic to paint in such a beautiful rustic place. The area is well kept and it is a perfect location for get together and company meetings.

We had an amazing time at Paint & Picnic. It was the perfect space for our leadership meeting. We loved the space, Sophia was easy to work with and we had a magical experience. We loved what we painted and the space we were in. Highly recommend looking at Paint & Picnic for your next event!

A little bit of her artwork as well as what painting we did that day!

Oh where do I begin! SOPHIA IS AMAZING!!! She is so funny, so kind & such a pure soul. Even without the fun time I had & the beautiful property we got to enjoy, I would go wherever Sophia is providing events! She is seriously such a delight. We had great conversations & she was cracking us up the whole time. We went yesterday & it was my first time ever doing anything like this, although I do love to paint (never with acrylic before, so I was a bit nervous lol) but Sophia broke it down in steps that are understandable for even someone who has never touched a paint brush. So with her making it so understandable, it made me way less nervous & so I was able to focus on having FUN! She never rushed us, which meant a lot to me as I can get anxious if I think people are waiting on me. The property was so peaceful & quiet, & so so beautiful! I wish I would have gotten a picture of what we walked up to, because I was so blown away. ITS SO GORGEOUS! I love that is outside but still covered. Oh wait, did I mention what an AMAZING price it is to paint for 2 hours & have everything provided for you? The word deal is a understatement! Thank you Sophia for such a wonderful experience! I can't wait to come back, for any of your events! You've given me the confidence to paint with acrylics! And gave me a great recommendation for a TV show! Lol

    Had a great time!

Beautiful outdoor studio, instructor was professional & personable. All materials included with the very reasonable cost. The class was small and intimate. Great music selection in the background. I went with my mom & sister for one of our first public outings since Covid so I thought it was a great first foray back into society. Highly recommend for a girls outing, a first date, etc.

    Good team building activity!

We had an amazing time on the spectacular vineyard grounds! When I saw the image we were to draw but without referring to it I thought my painting was going to be a disaster. Sophia is a great teacher and she made painting easy and fun! I definitely recommend her class!

We just had our daughter's birthday party here and it was amazing! Such a beautiful location outdoors. Lots of space for everyone to relax. It was extra special that we were able to bring our little pup with us. Just kept him on his leash and he loved being with us. The painting portion was really nice and Sophia was wonderful with the painters. She was so patient with me and all my questions beforehand. Haha. Thank you!

They are kind, incredibly generous with their knowledge, and created such a welcoming environment for both my mom and me. There is a really nice variety of workshops too and I'm hoping they add even more for evenings. I recently took the holiday linocut workshop and had the best time! It wasn't just about learning a new craft; the vibe was so social and upbeat. The teacher was wonderful and the other students were a blast to hang out with while we worked. Their approach to teaching really builds your confidence. For the first time, I actually felt like an artist rather than just a hobbyist. The atmosphere here is creative, supportive, and fun. I'm constantly checking their calendar for new classes and workshops to be added. Check them out if you or your kids (or your mom!) want a community as well as an art school.

I understand policies exist for a reason, but what happens when a child is sick? Are parents expected to bring their sick kids just so they don't lose a class they already paid for? I tried requesting an earlier time due to a legitimate scheduling issue, but was told no because we had already used our one make-up. So if my child gets sick again, we simply lose the class. As for the teaching, I honestly can't even say if it's great since this is our first time enrolling. But it's sad that because of this strict policy, it just doesn't seem like it will work for us. It's ultimately my fault for not reading the make-up policy closely, but after this experience, we won't be returning. We still have two classes left, which we will attend, but that will be the end for us. My friend's child is actually in the ceramics program at this same art school--she's the one who referred me--and even she thinks the policy is too rigid. If you have a very healthy child and know you'll make every session, then this school might work for you. Otherwise, there are other art programs--like Damoya Art in Danville--that are far more flexible with scheduling. When I spoke with Alex, I was told that other art schools don't even offer any make-up classes at all, as if I should be grateful for the one they allow. But for a kids' program, flexibility matters. Unfortunately, this school has just lost a customer.

What a super cool outcome that was! In addition to art, Devina also teaches public speaking, which has helped my daughter understand how to write outlines, make better arguments, reduce filler words and project better body language. Most importantly it has helped boost her self confidence! Who throws a birthday party for only one hour? If you want an additional hour it's an extra $150. Felt like a bait and switch -- I went back on the website to see if there was a disclaimer about parties being only 1 hour -- there is, but it's very discreet. It should definitely be more clear so there aren't any surprises. 2. The art project takes quite literally 5 minutes (no wonder only one hour is included...). While I'm sure the art is going to be beautiful, I would go as far as saying this was boring for a crew of 7 year old girls. After all of the instructions were given it was truly.. 5 minutes of fun... I quote the birthday girl.., "mom, we poured paint in a cup and then poured it in paper. That's it." I really wish there was something else to make the party a bit more fun and engaging. Play a game? Sing? Literally anything to extend the fun. The art itself is simply not enough to justify having a party there.
