There are several issues that have lead to my withdrawal such as rude staff, incompetent nail technicians, noisy girls, bad music, foul smell or difficult parking. Yes, you can say that I'm kind of a perfectionist when it comes to looking for the perfect nail salon. Nail Cocktales has been my nail salon of choice for nearly a year now since I moved from my old salon. The place always smells so fresh and clean with equipment they apparently sterilize after every use. I have had the chance to get to know the owner and I am quite impressed by how she runs her business. Although the shop displayed excellence in their services from beginning to end, the place was too fresh for me to give it a perfect score since it just opened recently. This review will be more on the barber's part of the business since I was not able to use the nail salon yet. The shop opens at 1pm everyday and I arrived there at around 3pm on a Saturday without a reservation. There were people waiting in line, (as expected since it was a weekend) but the place did not make me feel bored or made me want to come back some other time since people that worked there or even the owner will get to you right away upon entering. Complimentary brewed coffee is offered for the people who wait for their turn and things to read are available beside soft seats you can snug in. The ambience was serene as the lights were easy on the eyes and the music is soft that it perfectly blends in the mutterings and little laughs from everyone. You can stay in the lounge part of the shop or if you're in a group, there is also a coffee area you can use while you wait. One thing exceptional about this place is that it also offers nail services for men and women done just at the other side of the mirror walls. This gives you the freedom to take your girl with you on your haircut trips so they won't have a reason not to give you time for yourself (or vice versa). The seats and equipment were appropriate to the traditional theme as well as the seats in the nail services side. Service prices are very reasonable, haircuts start from 165Php, which includes shampooing and a quick facial, and this is like half the price of the famous traditional barbers in Metro Manila. Parking wouldn't be much of a hassle since the building does have a space in front intended for customer's vehicles and can cater around 8-10 sedans/SUVs all at once. My overall experience with Belleza is positive and I will be coming back for their services once needed. I was fully satisfied for the price that I've paid for and will recommend this to relatives and friends. Given that the place is new, it does not mean that people who work here are inexperienced. They will give you a service that will compliment your style, or whichever you pick from the choices they will show you. Like most nail salons in the Philippines, they do not have massage chairs with a jet stream basin, but instead chairs and foot stools. I opted for a foot spa, which included a short foot soak in a rubber basin they brought out (less than 5 min for me), callus removal, cuticle care, and polish application. My service was done by Pauline who did an awesome job. 10/10 would request her again. She was thorough with my feet spending about 30 min with the foot file, transforming my callused man-feet back to its baby soft form. She was gentle with my cuticles and applied the polish perfectly -- just up against my cuticles, but without touching them. The shellac on my hands were done by Grace who did a decent job. They weren't to my standard as I'm picky about how clean and close the polish is around the cuticle, but still clean enough to be acceptable since they still looked neat. She definitely nicked me a couple of times with the cuticle nippers, but drew no blood. The nail technicians here have a difficult time communicating in English, but they have decent shop talk and you can get by if you don't know Tagalog. The polish selection is small and there is an up charge for certain polishes. They don't have OPI shellac, which is what I was looking for. I wanted a dark blue shellac, but the only one available was imported from Japan and had about a 700 php up charge, which wasn't cool. I'd probably come again for the price, but would specifically request Pauline.

She even dozed off a few times massaging her! They did a great job on me. My massages were long on my hands and feet! I was in heaven! If you're the only one having your nails done, you could usually ask them to play a different movie. Let's get started with the All Out Diva Pedicure that I pamper myself with. Nica (Veronica) soaks my feet in nice warm water. She applies a mask onto my feet and calves, then wraps it with cellophane. She proceeds to cut my toe nails and cuticles. Afterwards, an exfoliation scrub is massaged onto my calves and feet. They are then wrapped with a towel. After ? minutes, the scrub is rinsed off with warm water. A warm towel is used to remove whatever might have been left behind. The calves and feet are massaged with an oil. Lotion is then added onto the calves and feet in which the massage continues. As one calf/foot is being massaged, the other side is covered with a towel. You'll need to let her know if you want a soft or hard massage. Afterwards, both legs are covered with a towel. The towels are removed and my feet are individually placed within plastic bags filled with paraffin wax. Booties are placed on top of the plastic bags, and the calves are wrapped with a towel. After ? minutes, the towel, bootie, plastic and wax is removed. The calves and feet are wiped down with a dry towel. An under coat is applied onto my toe nails. A double coat of the base coat is applied. My French tips are then painted on. The top coat is the end of my pedicure. I then go under the fans to dry the nail polish. Sounds awesome right? That is because it is! All that wonderful pampering for 1000 Pesos. I usually come mid-week, and I like being Nica's last customer of the day. I make sure I tip Nica well, because it is my way of thanking her for the amount of time she takes to pamper me.
