We hired Paint Track to build a new deck rail after a tree fell on our existing deck. Ray, the owner, responded to a request for a deck repair company saying "we can do that for you!" We had used Paint track for painting jobs over the years as well as a gut and redo of our hall bath several years before, so there was no reason to think Ray, Jaime and rest his great staff wouldn't come through again and they did! It looks like we have a brand new deck, modernized and sleek! All that remains from the old deck is the flooring and some trellis material that was scraped and repainted! I am a very visual person, and I care a lot about paint, paint colors and attention to detail. That's why I was so thrilled when a friend recommended Paint Track, working out of Westchester and Putnam counties--just ten minutes after meeting the owner, knew I was in very good hands. His painters are all part of a permanent team, and he trains them himself, making sure they are up on the latest styles, wall treatments, techniques and tools. This is HUGE! So many companies use freelance painters, instead of investing in them and having them be invested in the company's work and reputation. The owner met with me just 12 hours before I had to leave town so he could walk through my (empty) house and he gave me a verbal bid that I feel was very competitive. He was careful to explain why his work costs more, but I shooed all that away, as the rooms he was painting had a total of 23 windows and 12 doors, all with grids. I knew it wasn't going to be cheap -- I just wanted to be sure that I got what I paid for. And I did! It looks amazing! I would dare to call it flawless. I loved his painting team. They were cool and friendly and focused, and were able to roll with the complications of having to paint around my movers. The team ended up having to do a lot of repair work, including skim coats!!, on my walls to make sure they would look great. Worth. Every. Penny. The day the owner came to do the final walk-through with me (yes, the owner does a final walk-through with you -- if you need any further proof of his commitment to his work...), I immediately started talking to him about painting the rest of my house. Initially when my family hired Paint Track we were excited for them to start their work. After two days of the employees showing up late, And one coming back clearly from the bar on his lunch break (Sergio (?) In case he is ever in your home you will know who he is. I attempted to speak with the owner. (Ray?) He was rude and dismissive. They rushed the work leaving my walls uneven. I was told I was not a "top priority" (Not that I thought I was) but with the amount he was charging me I should have been SOME kind of priority. When my husband called the owner Ray to tell him we could take it from here and we will be calling another company he laughed into the phone and said Good luck. I will say he did have two decent employees whose names I can't remember but they were very polite and seemed efficient. When the crew returned the next week I was told he had fired both of them. The only two employees that were actually working were fired! Yet the man that was on his phone all day and reeking of alcohol was the person he kept. I hope it isn't a race thing as one of the employees was African American and the other I'm not sure of his ethnicity. But I am sure I will never be hiring them again or recommending them to anyone. I chose Paint Track to finish and paint my garage and bathroom because I have known the owner for some time and know he has an appreciation for attention to detail. The end result was that which exceeded my expectations. His staff was extremely friendly and respectful of my home. They took their shoes off, prepped everything so nothing got dirty, and I'm pretty sure the place was cleaner after they left than it was before they got here. They made sure the job was done right. Ray was extremely courteous and attentive during the initial walk through for an estimate, with great attention to detail. From day one, Ray and his team arrived on time and put in a full day of hard work - even our neighbors commented that they have never seen a crew be so timely each and every day.
