I work with the building trades professionally so I was determined to find a good painter I could trust with my own home. Being the son of a career house painter I have very high standards. I requested a quote and 3 companies responded but only 2 wound up showing up. When I first met Carlos he seemed professional, bright and very willing to understand what I was trying to accomplish by painting the exterior of my home in anticipation of a big outdoor event at our home. As I pointed out what I thought needed to be done, Carlos made suggestions and described what he would do to get rid of the mold, prepare the surfaces and then refinish. The next day, the proposal he sent me was thorough and very fairly priced, so that along with my gut feelings, I was comfortable sending him a deposit. Scheduling was a breeze, we started the work on the next available (non-rainy) day. He was expected Monday morning and when he showed up 15 minutes late he explained that his truck had broken down that morning but he put his gear and ladders in his personal car, grabbed his crew and still showed up. I know many contractors that would use a broken truck as an excuse to delay work, not Carlos. The first day was spent cleaning and preparing the surfaces. He used a mold treatment that was extremely effective and even cleaned mold off of plastic surfaces that would not be painted. He scraped all loose paint and then primed all the surfaces. He left my home clean and his shop was neat and out of the way. The second day he showed up with his truck and went right back to work. While I was reviewing the progress I discussed some other work I needed done around the house and asked him for a referral. He said, "I can do that for you". So while he and his crew continued to paint my home, Carlos removed my old shutters and installed new ones, painted a gate that was not part of the original quote and he repaired and cleaned all my copper gutters! He asked me to review the work in the evening as he hoped to wrap up on the third day. As I walked around the house I saw beautiful workmanship and a great attention to detail. After my entire review I could only find one little hole left by an old cable wire that was hidden from view. Of course it was repaired the moment we pointed it out. The last day was very productive. That is the day he hung the shutters and touched them up afterwards. He painted our front door and it looks beautiful. Watching him paint the door brought back memories of painting with my dad. He's one of those guys that has great hands. He cut his paint around door hardware and glass beautifully. Even simple things like hooks on the wall were cut in perfectly with out a dot of paint on the hook. I still don't know how he got so far behind my immovable hot-tub but that wall is fresh and bright as well, with out a drop of paint on the tub or the cover. He respected my plant life, took on extra work with a smile and delivered a text book case of a job well done. I am pleased to see that I have had the same experience as the people in the reviews I read before I hired Carlos. In fact, I would hire him in a second to do any work in my home and you should do the same. read more

I truly can't be happier with the work that Carlos and his team did on my home. Carlos has a kind and calm demeanor; I felt comfortable with him immediately and did not feel silly asking all my questions. He seems dedicated to a job well done and even suggested a few little detail work that I hadn't thought of at no extra charge. He and his team came in and were absolutely professional and their work was sharp and with great skill. They painted several difficult interior walls with high ceilings and severely damaged walls, and people went from calling my house "beat up" to "high end". Such a transformation! I threw a few extra projects in in the middle and Carlos was very accommodating. They refinished some floors and stained a desk and some doors- also really high quality work. Carlos was there the entire time and sent me updates periodically- photos or videos, as I wasn't living in the house at the time. Excellent job! Carlos was the only painter who suggested I wash and make my cedar shake shingles uniform in color before power washing and before applying a new stain. He did a wonderful job cleaning and making my cedar shake shingles uniform in their natural color before helping us select a new stain. He also replaced damaged and worn shingles and repaired my pergola which weather had damaged in several areas. He keeps you abreast of status and tells you if anything needs repair that became evident after power washing and prepping for stain and paint. After Carlos finished, the exterior of the house and pergola looked like new. Depending on the weather, he keeps within his estimated time frame to complete the job. He is reasonably priced for the work I requested. I would hire Carlos again to do any painting job for me again. read more

My wife an I had Carlos and his crew do a great deal of painting in our new home. The quality of work they provided was top notch and totally transformed our home. They painted multiple rooms, did trim work,and even helped fix a botched job from a prior contractor. Finding a reliable and consistent contractor is a daunting task and thats why we will continue to only have Carlos do paint and finish work in our home for years to come.
