Our family of twenty-six spent four wonderful days at the Painted Pony. It's a gorgeous facility in a beautiful, isolated location. Lots of beautiful hikes nearby as well as horseback riding and the world class Chiracuaha Museum and Geronimo Event Center. Highly recommended! read more

PPR is on over 750 beautiful high desert acres and has 5 buildings allowing us to accommodate groups of 30+ people. Our Guests are impressed with the quiet, peaceful, natural beauty of our location as well as our excellent accomodations. We are ideal for a Family Reunion, Wedding, or Company conference / retreat. We have hosted Family Reunions with lots of kids adding up to over 50 people. Wedding parties stay at the compound with guests renting from nearby lodging facilities allowing us to host one wedding with a little over 100 attendees. One of our regular visitors is an Astronomy club from Canada. We have also hosted a painting workshop, a few company retreats, a Biking Group, as well many family reunions. The PPR is a posh desert retreat in Rodeo, NM that was built as the exclusive getaway for a well-known Silicon Valley Software Entrepreneur. This is a great place to entertain large gatherings in the serenity and natural beauty of the NM high desert.

Our family wanted to find a place for a reunion away from the crowds and commercialized vacation spots; the Painted Pony Resort was the perfect fit. We had 20 people at our reunion and the resort had more than enough room for all six families. The Wedding Bungalow was great for our family of four (two adults and two teenagers) with room to spare. The bathtub in the bungalow was awesome. The weather and scenery are terrific, including the beautiful night skies. We had a huge pool, hot tub, and numerous gathering areas all to ourselves - no one but our family! How refreshing! The museum in Rodeo and a road trip to the breathtaking mountains is a must see with very friendly local people and park rangers. Also, there are several geocaches in the area. Our family bought food at the Walmart in Demming; however, we found out that Schwan will cater on-line and bring food to PPR. The owner and property manager were very accommodating to our needs. It was so much fun swimming, cooking, playing, shooting fireworks, and visiting with each other in such a quiet and peaceful place. I look forward to future family reunions at PPR because we had the entire property to ourselves with all the amenities. read more
