Right from the first phone call, Brad provided excellent customer service, taking time to answer all my questions and concerns and letting me know what would be covered in the job. He included information on types of paint, compounds, brushes, etc. - a lot of attention to detail that goes beyond just putting paint on the wall. It was extremely helpful to understand the process and to be informed on how long things would take approximately. Brad also gave great suggestions on testing the colors beforehand, recommending high-quality paint so that it would last for years and resist stains. We were thoroughly satisfied with the results. He was also able to meet our agreed-upon timeline and we were able to make our move-in date. And one last added benefit we received from choosing Bradley Forbes and Sons, we learned several different things about our older home that we would not have known otherwise. Almost like an archeologist, Brad discovered under layers of paint, wallpaper intact from the 1940s, with a small village scene depicted. It was a treasure. We decided to incorporate it into the look of our home and frame it, to highlight the history of our home. Brad brought more than expected, with his expertise in painting and his knowledge on several aspects of the house painting process, it created an overall satisfying experience. Lester was responsive via text, and they showed up, and a bid materialized in a timely way. I negotiated with them, but found the price reasonable (as I had other bids for comparison). I hired them and they did an excellent, truly excellent job, and came back to fix my little requests/complaints (I am a stickler). They got the job done, were professional, timely and extremely hardworking. I am hard pressed to remember when I got such professional service, as it seems standards have slipped. Beautiful Landscaping & Construction was contracted by a remediation company to come in and put the…read morepieces back together after a multilevel flood in my home. The project manager said that Anthony had done good work in the past and was confident in his skill level. But it got to a point where I wouldn't allow his crew to return. The owner of the restoration company asked if I would give Anthony a second chance to come in and complete the tile work. The bathroom floor was straightforward and came out good. But the kitchen was a bit more complex and about 1/4 needs to be torn out. I actually had to explain edging and bullnose tile to him. The pictures are just a small representation of what they considered to be finished work...they had packed up and removed their equipment. I was speechless. There was wall paint all over my cabinets and molding, molding paint all over the ceiling and walls, and gobs of joint compound. The demo crew set up a plastic containment barrier. When it was removed, Anthony's crew painted over the adhesive residue left from the tape. A breakfast nook escaped damage except for a 6-8 inch stain on the ceiling. Instead of using stain blocker, the crew slapped joint compound on the stain and painted over it without sanding. In addition to being sloppy, they clearly do not have the skill to work in old homes. Additionally, they took down the motion sensor to the security system, lost half of the unit, and hung up what was remaining. No one recalls touching it - that's a $350 replacement and installation cost. They also covered my Corian sink in paint, lost the paint covered garbage disposal stopper, used my mop bucket and left it behind covered in crap, and let tons of construction debris pile up in a pantry sink that has 114 year old pipes. The restoration company had their demo guys come in to try and clean up the mess, but unfortunately the ceilings need major remediation and I have to hire someone else to come in to clean up the poor caulking and painting. Work time was already extended at least 1 week because of mistakes and sloppiness. I got the distinct impression that Anthony was juggling a lot. Judging from the reviews, he should drop construction from his business model and focus on the landscaping.
