This was so much fun! A great thing to do whenever you want to do something different and interactive! A place where you paint and drink, just bring what you want to drink! Everything else is provided, the paint, brushes, easel, and I liked how the picture was drawn out, so you could follow the lines. We were the only two registered in the class, so we got a bunch of attention and help lol. Neither of us were painters, so we really appreciated the instructor taking her time with us. The instructor, Diana, was amazing and again very helpful. The painting wasn't that hard, so it was fun to follow along but also go and do what we wanted for the painting. If I could give 100 stars I would. My wife and child went to Painting with a Twist for my mother in law's birthday last night. Let me start off by saying My daughter was born completely blind but that doesn't deter her from participating and having a great time. My wife called them ahead of time to let them know that our daughter has a disability and it would be great if they could accommodate her while attending the party. They put their thinking caps on and came up with the most thoughtful and helpful way to include her while painting. Painting with a Twist was surprisingly fun! I am not an artist by any means, but I was looking for something different to do to celebrate my birthday. It was a great choice! You get to pick your favorite painting from their website out of 6k. You have to have a minimum of 12 people to have your party private. Our instructor, Diana, was awesome. She did a great job guiding us through the painting. If you get a chance to go paint at Painting with a Twist, then you should definitely request Diana as your instructor! This is the place to go if you want to be spontaneous to do something different on a date night or just hanging out. Our instructor, Brian ( I already forgot if it was with an "I" or a "Y"..anyways the only guy) was amazing, patient and gave clear detail instructions for each step of the painting. We enjoyed our experience there and Brian was a great host/instructor! We reserved and paid in full for our seats online through their website. Each day is a different painting and they offer the 1st Saturday of every month a FREE SOS class that come in and touch up on your paintings, no need to reserve a class. The cost covered the paint, canvas and the class. Our evening class was 3 hours long and it was 21+ so no need to worry about little kids. It's BYOB and snacks but they do provide cups and napkins that I saw. Please come in at least 15 minutes prior to put on the apron that they provide and they do have bathrooms as well. Our instructor gave us a canvas that had the image traced in pencil so that it will come out looking pretty darn close to the original. Even though it is a class, our instructor gave us the option to do whatever color scheme we wanted for our painting as it does not have to look like the original. Our Tuesday evening class was small..3 people but the average is usually 12 or so. read more

I had the opportunity to go here and I had such a good time!!! I was a little concerned when this idea was suggested to me, as historically all I've been good for is a stick figure on a good day. Nonetheless, I went along with it and figured I'd at least enjoy my glass of wine....while painting my stick figure. We arrived and were greeted by Brian, who also was our instructor. He was friendly and provided us with the rundown on how things would go, as well showing us where we would be seated. A canvas with an etching of the figure we were to paint was provided as well as a palette of various shades of paint. When the rest of the class arrived, Brian began with instructions that really put me at ease (with regard to my painting skills). He went step by step and came around to give assistance if needed. The group was friendly and everyone really appeared to have a good time, not to mention really getting into their 'Inner Picasso'. I would definitely recommend taking a group of some of your favorite buddies, or making this a good date night outing with your sweetie. Terrible customer service from the staff here. They state they require masks, although no one was wearing one at the tables. They wanted us to purchase masks for $3 each, for us to walk to the table. Then, they said we had to sip our wine and immediately put the mask back on... again - no one had one on AT ALL at the tables. Lastly, they would not refund us because we refused to buy their masks to walk 10 feet to the tables. I took a video to show others that they are not mandating masks - although they try to make you walk with one to the table. read more

Great place to go and have fun with the girls! Guys will have fun too. This is a good place to go on a date too. It's something different and allows you to tap into your creative side. They have private parties and open sessions. The price is a little high to me, at $35, but you're getting a private lesson, and something to hang up on your walls at home. The instructors are very laid back and friendly. They stencil out your painting so that you can have something to start with. They go step by step and model how your painting should look, but they also encourage creativity and stepping outside of "the box." So even if you aren't artistically inclined you will still take something home that is an amazing piece of art! You can bring food and wine to snack and drink while painting. Don't drink too much though, you still want your painting to be presentable. read more

Literally had the worst time there. People were unkind, staff was intolerable and all together unreasonable to help. Highly highly do not recommend this place. Third visit here I totally love this place. The people are usually nice and funny and the instructors are always entertaining. I'm not an artist but the instruction is really simple where I can keep up. Plus if you aren't happy with your painting there is an SOS class on Saturdays to fix whatever you don't like. We've been on multiple occasions and have always had a really great and fun time. They tend to do a lot of fleur de lis items but they have added variety. We bring our own drinks and fruit and have a great time. They play music and the teacher takes breaks and comes around to help individuals who may be behind. #LongPost Today I received a phone call from Johanna at Painting with a Twist and she was very rude and disrespectful to say the least. Johanna called me as if she was doing a survey to see how my last experience at their establishment was. I began to tell her how much I enjoyed my experience and that I would return. She immediately snapped and said "then why are you disputing the charge on your credit card, I am recording you and I'm going to be turning this recording over to the DEA! You and your guest are banned from coming back here!" I told her that I was not sure what she was talking about that she needed to contact the person who made the reservation and who's card was used. She continued to holler and scream at me in the most disrespectful manner. I advised her yet again that she needed to contact the other party and not me. I provided her with the phone number of the other guest and proceeded to contact them myself. Upon contacting the individual and telling them what happened, they proceeded call PWATBR but at the same time Johanna was contacting them. She tried to give the same spill about doing a follow up on the experience that was had and then she went off yet again. During the exchange the individual advised her that the card used was compromised and contacted the bank for her to speak with. Upon contacting the bank she was advised that they sent a letter out in which she never responded to and that's why the bank was disputing the charge. She began to apologize to the individual and they advised her that she needed to apologize to me. Johanna said that she would send me an email but the other party insisted she talked to me and they called me on three-way. She gave a an apology that was not sincere to say the least and told me that we are welcome to come back. Before Johanna called me, she should have done her research. This is the WORST display of customer service that I have ever received. This issue had nothing to do with me being that I was listed on the reservation as a guest and the card was not in my name. I will NEVER visit this establishment again and I would advise my friends and family not to do so as well! read more

I've been here three times and each time is always really fun. It's a relaxing little atmosphere and the staff scheduled to work is great no matter who you get. The last time I went was to do the Paint Your Pet session and it was a great experience. The staff was truly awesome and ready to give you help or suggestions if requested. This establishment even sets aside one day out of the month for "SOS" sessions where you can bring your previous paintings in to finish working on them or fixing them for free. Unlike other business who just want to take your money and kick you out after two hours of painting, PWAT actually wants all of its clients to feel 100% satisfied with their paintings and doesn't mind you coming back 2 or 4 or 12 times to get it just right. The only thing that keeps me from coming back as much as i want to is the pricing. Most paintings are $35-$45 which is something I can't afford to do very often, but like I said--when you're given unlimited free "editing" sessions it kind of all evens out. It's a BYOB studio but it'd be cool if wine and/or snacks were included in the pricing. Either way they've got my business, and as a hardworking college student, I don't say that very often. read more
