You miss the days of college friendship fun? I do too? PWAT brought them back for me! I can not recommend this enough. A charity I am involved with hosted an event here. It began with a reasonably priced $7 for an 805 at the bar. I bought a raffle ticket which included the chance to win a free return class, and then I settled in. The instructor was fantastic! She gave us tips and easy to follow instructions from start to finish. There was plenty of attention from the employees if I needed extra paint or another towel to wipe my brushes. There is a screen to watch him or her draw, if you are sitting in the back. The best part, you are not happy with you drawing? There is a free class on the last Saturday of the month to return and fix it up! No charge, folks! This was the best $37+ I spent in a loooong time! read more

I always have a blast here, no matter how my painting ends up! All the instructors are great at working with everyone in step by step directions. They are comical & really make sure you're just enjoying yourself. They have fun little games throughout the night to give everyone a break. There is a cute little bar in the back for your drinks. Parking is not great, but then again nothing on Ventura Blvd has decent parking. P.W.A.T. is great for so many occasions such as a party, a date, or a girls (or boys) night out. My wife and I scheduled a date night Friday evening. We took up the challenge of the black light jellyfish. I have to say it was a lot of fun but painting under black light is tough. The instructors were very patient; they had hair dryers everywhere to hurry up the paint drying and they served wine and beer. My wife did such a good job, I went to depot, bought some corner guard, a 6 ft strip of uv led lights off amazon and created a fun frame for it. read more

What a GREAT place!!! So much fun! Me and my boyfriend went for our 2 year anniversary and had a blast! We went for a blacklight night and it was so much fun! The atmosphere in there was great! So decorative with handmade paintings all around. The instructors for our class were AWESOME! They kept it lively and fun and had good timing so we didn't fall behind. This place is amazing! My wife has been wanting to do one of these for quite some time and I looked all over the web for a fun spot. I found this place and we did a black light painting and added in the "create your won candle". My wife and I had the best time! The instructor Mariel was so fun, personable and kept things very light. It was not a paint lesson, just fun. Sam was the bartender and helped out throughout the event. Have a couple drinks and get your paint on! Do not worry about negative reviews regarding the wine selection, this is not a bar and the point is to paint and have a little booze with it. The prices are beyond fair for the time you are there and the service you get. My wife and I will be going back with some of our friends. A+ all day!!! read more

Super fun activity to do with friends! Our instructor, Rose, was awesome and all our paintings turned out so cute! One thing I loved about this place is that we could bring our own snacks. Yelp 2018 - 11 out of 325 I love painting with my mom. But, we are too detailed and fell way too far behind when attending a class. The instructors tried to help. They gave us encouragement to keep up, to not worry about the errors we were making or the color combinations we thought would be a great idea. We were a lost cause. We took our paintings home and put them in a dark place. Maybe when our perfectionism has faded, we can bring them out and appreciate our artwork. But, we will be painting at home for now until we can go with the flow. read more

Went here last night and had a great time. The studio was easy to find and was fairly easy to park at. In a cute little section of Camarillo with restaurants nearby. I would never classify myself as artistic in anyways but really enjoyed painting my feather and drinking wine. The studio was clean, smelled nice, and the materials were clean and in good condition. The music playlist was great and added to the experience as well, there were so many other cute projects I saw there as well that I now want to try. They also have donation nights where part of the proceeds go to selected charities which I think is awesome as well. I will definately be returning for sure. read more

Have gone here twice now!!!! Both have been fun classes and the instructors are great!!! I was supposed to come with my friend Alison a few weeks ago because she's been having a difficult time and I wanted her to experience the fun! We were supposed to go for the feather painting "breaking free" and I got stuck at work!!! They were super understanding and put the money towards another class. Alison still went by herself and they spoiled her and made sure she still had a great time!!!!! Already trying to pick out my next class!!!! I also love that your not forced to spend money on the wine if you don't drink! Other places charge you 10-15 more a class and give you a glass of wine but I don't drink so it's a waste for me! I set up a quadruple date here for my friends and I and it was a hit! The venue is a lot larger than what it looks like from the outside. Super cute with past paintings hung on the walls. Pros: -A lot of space for really large groups (I had a group of 8 and we were all seating on one table) -Had cute competitions when waiting for the acrylic to dry -Attentive staff ready to refill our paint if necessary -Great teacher who did everything step by step (and let you just have fun with it) -Good enough wine/beer selection -Clean atmosphere with good lighting -If you don't finish your painting its OK! This place is SO fun! Very reasonably priced. Jessica was our instructor for the palm trees we painted on a wood medium and she was great. Drinks are about 6-9 dollars and you are given some breaks to mingle and play games. Well worth the money and the experience. Even if you're not very artistic I would still recommend this place. Let me start by saying that this is my first review bc generally I don't waste my time yelping bc I'm in the industry of being yelped myself. But I had the best experience and it was worth it for me to download the app and get going :) I've been here a handful of times and it's been great every time I've been. Due to the COVID, I got an email yesterday from Painting with a twist informing me about a togo curbside pickup as most places of any sort are offering. What a great deal for such an amazing price I couldn't not take up on it, and It so happens to be my my 6 year anniversary with my husband. I got onto the website and checked out the selection they had and booked immediately. I called bc I had a question, and they were so helpful and sounded so happy (which is so nice to hear during this time) my husband then picks up our goodie bag the next day and its just more than I could imagine, it made our entire anniversary to have such a special paint night at home. The online tutorial was just as good as in person :) Painting with a twist in cam saved the day in my book, I will keep continuing to go there! I hope this will get more and more ppl to try it out if they haven't! read more

Second time at Painting with a Twist...I will never go back again!!! Their instructions for painting is minimal and not thorough. Their environment is uptight. Their paint is poor quality, not high end paint. They take away your paint and brushes exactly to the minute at the class end time. The last class I attended the instructor was very demeaning and made derogatory comments to our group. We had several people in our group, this was a first time for many of them...they were VERY DISAPPOINTED!!! read more

This is such a fun place! My husband and I went this past Thursday night and had a great time. It's such a nice, relaxing experience. The instructor made it fun and easy to follow and the staff were all encouraging. They also encourage you to take breaks and have fun little games where you can win prizes. One thing I didn't realize, is they even have a monthly session where you can come back and finish or fix parts of your painting if you get home and realize you don't like it or it's incomplete. The bar has wine, beer, champagne cocktails...I recommend the strawberry Bellini if you're looking for something sweet and refreshing. We won a $5 off a class during one of the games and we can't wait to go back and use it! read more
