Paint nights have been pretty popular the last couple years, and this is a twist on that. Saw the sign out on the sidewalk a couple months ago and followed them on Facebook. Of course being The Lion King fan I am, I saw this event of "Jungle King" and had to go. Went step by step how to pain Simba on the tree (the one Rafiki paints). It was a 1.5hr event for the 8x10, and we finished a little before that. The owner was amazing, has a great sense of humor, and overall very helpful in completing your masterpiece. The establishment itself has a lot of paintings on the walls, beautiful and creative-- that you could decide to do during their business hours. Literally, during their hours, as long as they do not have a class going on, you can come in, grab a canvas and some paint, and paint whatever your heart desires. They will be around to help if you have questions (they do not paint it with you but can offer advice etc). Or, just paint whatever you want! The possibilities here are endless! For their events/classes, find them on Facebook!! They usually have something every week. It was very easy to RSVP online and pay for the tickets (which was $10 for 8x10 for this particular event) and the price is VERY reasonable!!! They get sent to your email, then you just show up on the day, give them your name and # of people that are going to paint, and paint away! They also have the option of calling and booking a private event for up to 30 people. This would be a great ladies night out or a fun way to spend time with friends, family, or co-workers. I will DEFINITELY be back here again, can't believe I didn't try this sooner!

I took a "watercolor card making" class and enjoyed it so much! Heather made it easy to follow along for the basic sketch and we were able to add our own flair. All supplies were included, paint brush, water, pencil, paper towels, paint, brown card stock , water color paper, envelopes, ink pen and a few extras to take home. The class lasted 1.5 hours and we made 3 cards . A deal at only $25 considering what all was included. Payment was made on site and she accepts paypal, Venmo, cash or check. Heather is very personable and a great instructor. I enjoyed it so much I signed up for a watercolor basics class next week. She also teachers calligraphy and sewing. Ice cream, cheesy goodness and other treats? Wow. Staff was super friendly as were the animals. Super clean, the service was fast and the ice cream and sandwich were fantastic. I got fresh curds and baked curds to go. As a Wisconsinite, the baked curds are out of this world good. Bring quarters to feed the super cute goat gang!!!

We felt for her, as she handled the situation professionally and provided excellent service despite the constant oversight. We wish her all the best. Later, when we went to get ice cream, Emily was just as friendly and helpful as Grace. Unfortunately, our ice cream was already melting and dripping down the cones when we received it. A kind employee offered to have them remade, and we gladly accepted. However, the replacement order was made incorrectly, and at that point we decided to simply eat what we were given. While both Grace and Emily provided outstanding customer service, the issues with the ice cream unfortunately put a damper on the end of our visit. As visitors from Oregon, we were excited to compare the experience to the Tillamook Cheese Factory. The visit started off wonderfully thanks to your staff, but the ending left us disappointed. Overall, we enjoyed our time, but in our opinion, Tillamook still holds the edge.

I've taken various friends with me over the years. With COVID this year, you weren't allowed to bring your own bucket, but this was ok because I usually buy their boxes anyway. I like that I can use them and recycle them. Earlier this week, I spent about 2 hours picking strawberries and walked out with about 17 pounds. I was able to make jam & jelly, as well as save some berries to go with strawberry shortcake. The prices are reasonable at $2.95/pound for pick your own and $5.75/container of pre-picked berries.

Visited Stokes Berry Farm for my first strawberry picking experience. It was about the third week…read moreof the season and there were still many ripe berries available. Today's strawberries were on the smaller side but still sweet. Gathered up over four pounds of berries to make fun concoctions, mostly jelly. Since this wasn't the start of picking season it took about five mins for me to really find some that were worth pulling. In my experience, many were along the irrigation pipes, and the larger ones were covered (shades) with thick green leaves. Tip: Contact or follow the farms social media for key picking times and confirm picking is available before you make the hike to the area.
