Young Jersey Dairy is a mini amusement park with their main restaurant thay includes burgers, home made ice cream, shakes and cheeses's. Perfect for date night! Young's Jersey Dairy is a good place to spend an afternoon whether with your significant other or family. The main building is a restaurant, ice cream shop, souvenir store, and knickknack shop combined. The restaurant has a pretty simple menu with cheeseburgers, toasted cheese sandwiches, French fries and a few other things. The ice creamy part of the store has a large variety of ice creams that you can sample. The store has souvenirs but also food items such as maple syrup, pepper jelly, cheese curds, fudge, and a lot more. At the restaurant I had the double cheeseburger, with fries and a medium drink. My girlfriend had the toasted cheese sandwich with cheddar cheese and a small drink. The double cheeseburger was really good and filling. No pickles but I liked it just the same. The French fries were nice and crispy. My girlfriend's toasted cheese sandwich was in longer sized bread and she really liked it. We also had two scoops of ice cream. My girlfriend had the strawberry ice cream and I had the cotton candy ice cream. My girlfriend's strawberry ice cream was pretty good but I didn't think the cotton candy ice cream I got tasted like cotton candy. It was a bright blue color, with a lot of sprinkles mixed in, but flavor wise I would pass getting again. It's just plain tasting to me, although sweet. I think kids would like it due to the vibrant color but it's not really an adult ice cream. I would give this establishment four stars overall! Not for the food but for the variety of things to do and food items available. There's a merry go round, batting cages, miniature golf course and I believe a corn maze this time of year. The store has a lot of unique food items such as cheese curds, maple syrup, souvenir T-shirts and much more. It's a fun place to spend an afternoon with ample parking and a variety of thins to do! This place was an EXPERIENCE!! I stopped in to check it out and was enticed by the pimento and bacon grilled cheese and sweet chili cheese curds. Both were delicious! The staff were all so friendly and helpful, too! I got a few ice cream samples while I waited for my food, then ending up buying 2 scoops of their nondairy flavors biscoff and peppermint hot cocoa. I love this place. It's nearby Yellow Springs, Clifton Gorge, John Bryan state park. And the bike trail. We work off calories first and get food and ice cream after. They have a quick system of ordering and then give you buzzers for when it's time to pick up your food. Ice cream on one side/ food on the other. I have heard such good things about Young's for years, but only experienced it last week. I registered my grandson for How to be a Farmer camp that was a day camp held last week. I was impressed. He had a great time learning about farming and farm safety and meeting the animals. They served them lunch and house-made ice cream and they had tees made for them. They rode the carousel and big slide. The staff was great with the kids. Young's also has putt putt, a driving range and batting cages. The carousel is $3/pp; we rode it after picking him up one day. We also had ice cream; I loved the Honey Lavender Sugar Cookie flavor. They have cows, obviously, for the milk, a large pig, and many goats for petting and feeding. It would be fun to return for fall festivities. It is just 2.5 miles from the the village of Yellow Springs. read more

We had the wristbands and stayed from 11:15-4:15. (5 year old, 7 year old, 24 and 25 year old, and a 70 year youngster). We did everything multiple times except feed the goats! Udders and Putters, driving range, Movers and Shakers, big slide, batting cages, play land, and carousel (7 times), lunch and ice cream. Sizable menu. Long line for lunch moved very fast. Food came out quick and hot. Kid's meals with chicken nuggets and fries, chicken-bacon-cheese spicy sandwich, chicken sandwich, chicken strips, fries, cheese curds and drinks. Free drink refills as well as free delicious ice water. Not cheap but it was good! Restaurant has plenty of seating inside or out. Nice and cool inside. Gift shop, cheeses, sweet breads, cookies, ice cream and more to go. Restrooms aplenty. Great place to find a seat under a shade tree and people watch. Paved areas and walkways provide easy rolling for wheel chairs or strollers. We had a wonderful day at Young's! read more

Wow this place is massive! I've driven by several times but have never stopped. It had so much more than I even expected. They were giving out samples of cheese when we were there, which I appreciated, and the displays of baked goods and dairy products looked great. We even bought some buckeyes to take home. Though it was so busy it was very efficient and the lines moved fast. I was a little unclear of how to get samples, but I stepped out of line so I could try some. The blueberry cheesecake flavor was excellent. We also got sandwiches which were pretty good, and cheese curds which were excellent. My first time here and it's Feb 1st. Walking in there are cases of their selection of cheese. Along with a cheese sampler container if you want to try that. They have a sorted bread selection. Trying samples of the ice cream and cheese is a must before deciding what to buy. The gift shop is so nice and there are a lot of items to buy as gifts. We had dinner at Young's. My grandkids enjoy going to young's! My teenage granddaughter is now playing golf and we've been going at various times to the driving range. My grandson enjoys the batting cages and when weather permits my youngest feed the goats outside( or inside the barn if the weather's not good). I love taking my kids to Young's Jersey Dairy! With all the activities available, we tend to make a full day trip out of it. We especially enjoy the seasonal events that usually transform the whole farm into a festive farmland. Since my kids are young most of the time is spent in Cowvin's Kiddie Coral, however more recently the new Carousel has their attention. As far as food, the kid's meals are affordable and simple. This place is essentially an agritourism destination. We were there for lunch alone and so didn't explore elsewhere. The paved parking lot is huge. The cafeteria is massive, too, with factory functions that can be observed, a queue area to buy meals and ice cream to enjoy at seats nearby, and a shop with decorative items, cheese, tub ice cream, and sweets like pie. Upon ordering food, we were given a disc to alert us when our order was done. It took about 15 minutes for our lunch to be ready. First of all, the cheese curds were good quality with a seasoned breading that was quite light; my sister-In-law, who is a local, was dismayed that they were not as good as she remembered. They ordered buffalo curds that just had something like Frank's Red Hot squirted over the top, and the texture wasn't good. As someone who has eaten many cheese curds, I thought mine were okay, mid-range. I had a chicken salad croissant with an added side salad. My sandwich wasn't appetizing in appearance, as you can see in my picture. The cheese slice looked like it had been sitting out for quite a while but it tasted fine, which was good, because the overall salad was surprisingly bland. My side salad was a spring mix that included several leaves that were blackening with rot; one tiny glob is visible in my picture. I had to pick those out. My husband had a burger and fries, which he thought was fine. My nephews had ice cream and really loved it, so I am thinking this may be a place to come for that rather than the main meal. I did buy two blocks of their more aged cheddars and a pack of buckeyes (a regional dessert with peanut butter and chocolate) to enjoy later. read more

Even in November, it was hopping. When you line up, there is a section just for samples so you can try out any ice cream flavors before deciding. Orders are placed at the counter and they give you a buzzer for when your order is ready. Staff was doing a great job keeping the line moving. At a working dairy farm - it is all about the ice cream! It lived up to the hype. Really thick and creamy, but not too sweet. Chocolate peanut butter flavor was the stuff of my dreams. Peanut butter cup flavor was a bummer because it didn't really taste like peanut butter. I think chocolate is the way to go here. The scoops are very generous. There were a few different seasonal sundaes and pumpkin ice cream. They also have a small menu of hot food items. All of the ice cream flavors are available in pint sizes to take home. I am not sure that chocolate pb would even make it to the freezer! read more

This was a stop during a little road trip with my son. We loved the carousel. The set up of the entire farm is simple and easy to navigate. We didn't get to try the ice cream, as we had just enjoyed ice cream elsewhere on our trip, but it looked like they had a nice variety of flavors. We liked seeing and feeding the goats. This might be even more of a fun place in the fall when they have some Halloween attractions like a hayride and pumpkin patch. Ten bucks gets you four rides on the carousel. I liked the cows and roosters and unique, beautifully designed and painted animals. Each had a name on a plate displayed next to it. Cool place to visit.
