The first yoga class with Aimee was great. I decided to take a break and stroll the vendors. I had reflexology done, henna by Henna Rising, a spine analysis, not to mention I purchased a bunch of items from local vendors. I liked that they had a variety of styles of yoga, although i wish there was something that involved a bit more meditation than we did around lunchtime. I think next year they should have Breathe sell prepared food items, and maybe even get the Paleo food truck Effortlessly Healthy involved. I had lunch in the college cafeteria with students, which was fine, but I would have enjoyed sticking around where the festival was and it would build business for local restaurants and food trucks. They could also have Hype Booth (Photo Booth) there to take pictures of yogis posing in front of the camera, and that instantly gets uploaded to Facebook, and by sharing that will draw attention and awareness of the event, Marisa the owner of the photo booth is wonderful and can include the logo from the event on the image. Several times a year you can help the teachers and see what your kids are learning. The teachers are so loving and amazing. You get email updates after each class and they take photos where you can see them on a private database. It is like a little family and it's wonderful. My son has grown so much with this loving atmosphere. He is now reading, writing his name, knows his abcs and numbers. My son is more than prepared for kindergarten. The teacher and aids truly love the kids like they are their own. Highly recommend . With covid precautions this year the school has made the necessary precautions to keep the kids safe with social distancing, masks, hand sanitizers, sanitized surfaces, etc.

I came here with my father for an exhibit they were having based on railroad photography in and…read morearound Rochester. We arrived on a Saturday around noon and I think there was only one other person in the place besides the security officer. When we asked him where the train exhibit was, we were told that it was closed and had been for a week or so. When we asked why, he didn't have an answer. However, upon hearing we had driven from Albany to see it he unlocked it for us. This was very odd, as the exhibit is scheduled to run for another few weeks and we were there in the middle of the hours they had posted. Had he not let us in, I would have been very disappointed. The exhibit was fine, though I was hoping for more. Many of the pictures shown of the Kodak Park railroad were new to me, but some of the others were on the website so I already had seen them. I wish they had either featured more in the exhibit (which wasn't all that large and only took about 10 minutes to see) or had left some off the website. They also had some model trains lettered for Kodak, which was cool. A small sign indicated that pins and patches were available for sale in the gift center. We looked for the gift center but the security officer told us it was closed as it had recently been purchased by a new company that was renovating it into a gift center / cafeteria. Again, I wanted to spend money here and couldn't because things were closed despite being at the proper place at the posted time. Other non-rotating exhibits featured a history of Kodak products including historical cameras and film, other non-photographic technological breakthroughs by Kodak, some furry Kolorkins (no, I didn't know what they were either!), and the like. It was interesting to see but didn't take long. I am glad I didn't have to pay for admission to this, as that would have only added insult to injury. I hope they get their act together.

I have been to many colleges throughout the last ten years trying to figure out what I want out of…read morelife. Brockport has been a pleasant surprise. Yes, the food could be a little better, but the education is next to none. The campus is continually growing and changing- and in the late spring to early fall is absolutely beautiful! But those horrid frigid winter months are brutal because the college is basically just not set up for students to access buildings easily without freezing their pants off. I highly recommend the education as Brockport is ranked in the top 100 schools in New York, but be Prepared... those professors (although very interested in helping you learn) are tough and you do have to work hard for your grades. But over all- what an amazing experience. I've truly grown into a better person through my classes and the professors and staff here. They will help you figure out what you want to do and what your good at... and because of Brockport, my future is bright again! Hope this helps ... :)

Zoo brew is an adult only event that happened after hours at Seneca Park zoo. There are a couple of…read moredifferent versions of this event. But in general, it happens during the summer months and features local live music and beer or wine. Participants can walk around the zoo while they are there. It's pretty cool to wander around the zoo during a time when it feels a little off-limits. Plus there are no kids there. It's a lot of fun and sometimes sells out.
