What a wonderful night out! My boyfriend surprised me and took me to an evening of Painting with a Twist and it was the perfect evening out. I'm not a painter and was a little intimidated but the whole thing but when they tell you that you don't have to be an artist to do the class they mean it. What a great idea for a low key bachelorette party! We had such a good time. Our instructor Jack was a great host. He's Professional, knowledgeable, and a great artist. We had a private Room from 630 to 830. They allowed us in a 1/2 hour earlier for a happy hour. They have wine available for purchase but they also let you bring in your own. There is no liquor allowed. If you go to the liquor store in the same plaza and mention that you are at painting with a twist they will give you a discount on a bottle of wine. How cool is that!! They also allowed us to bring in appetizers. When I checked in on Yelp I got a choice of a free item. I chose the paint brush pen. It is so cute! This is a really neat place. We celebrated my daughters birthday here today. We had the most fun ever! The studio is clean and organized. Plenty of seating for a group of 12 or more. Register and pay on line to pick your picture for your session. There are many options to choose for different dates. You can bring in your own snacks and beverages for you and your friends or purchase a bottle or a glass of wine when you check in. Soda is also available for purchase as well. Our instructor was great and really took her time in explaining step by step directions to us. I was here for a large Bachelorette party. The staff were very nice and patient with a large group of rowdy ladies!! The space is big and nicely decorated. There was plenty of parking. There were places along the wall to hang your purses/ bags. The hairdryer stations (for quick paint drying) were nicely set up. The bathroom was clean. The stools were sturdy. I personally start hitting the wall with paint and sip about an hour and a half in. But, if it wasn't for that, I would go back to this location regularly. The bride to be was very happy. Came her for a birthday party and had no idea what to expect. I wasn't really looking forward to it. I'm not very artistic or creative... and the thought of attempting to paint something gave me anxiety. But they have a great catch phrase...sip, paint, relax ...(since you BYOB) so I paid my $35 and would give it a try. Since it's located in Stone ridge Plaza there is a lot of parking available. As you walk through the doors you are directly in the front main studio. Equipped with lots of tables and chairs enough for a large group. I checked in and was handed a blank canvas,apron and directed towards the back into the private party room.This room was smaller then the main studio, only two long tables but very cozy. They have all these pre painted portraits hanging on the wall that they encourage you to take down and put them up to your face to take funny photos with. I loved the batman one! The painting the birthday girl choose was Orange Poppies...I noticed no blue on our plate of pre squeezed out colors, Not really a fan of the colors they had for the flowers, so I asked one of the employees if I could have some blue paint.They said absolutely and took me in their back room and let me choose two different blue paints! Our instructor for the class was Aileen, super upbeat and positive! Jack was also there to help us out. The entire mood was super chill and fun, they had great music playing the whole time. I was so surprised at how relaxed they made me feel, I had nothing to worry about! Aileen was great with our whole group, very easy to follow her directions and she so patient. Jack walked around the room helping individuals and giving some advice. I couldn't believe how I really got into this, I was actually having fun! 3.5 stars as I am a bit torn writing this review.... The time spent at the facility (post check-in) and party were great! It was the planning portion, working with the venue in advance as well as the check-in process that was off putting. Leading up to our dual birthday party (half of which was a surprise) a friend and I had been communicating with the staff via phone to make sure we had enough time to decorate and set up for the party. After getting off the phone with the Painting with a Twist folks, I have to say, I will NOT have another party with them. Here's what happened..... Our Party time was set for 7pm and our party can arrive at 6:30pm for BYOB Cocktails and food. We asked if the 2 of us could come earlier than that to decorate and was told "no". She gave us a hard time and said our contract is only for 2 hours and they're letting us in 30 mins early already (for the BYOB portion) We argued that their website tells guests to arrive at 6:30pm and therefore, we need to be able to set up decorations prior to any guests arriving. We then said we'd just show up and start getting everything ready in their main lobby area if they wouldn't open the room early. That's when she compromised and said we could get in the room at 6:15pm. We informed her that it really is unacceptable to not allow people to come early to decorate when their business is centered around parties and that we would not have an event at PWAT in the future just because of that policy. When I arrived early, I made sure to show the woman at the front desk the Yelp Check-in offer on my phone. She said they "don't honor that. In fact, no one has informed us of this offer in the 1.5yrs they've been open." I thought this was odd. She sort of felt bad and decided to offer me consultation key chain. Yay?!? The painting party itself was great! Aileen was awesome! She definitely offered a fun and relaxed vibe. Jack was there to assist and we couldn't help but heckle him. In a room full of woman, who wouldn't want to experience "Painting with a Strip?"! (He didn't oblige, but, was a great sport). Step-by-step group painting really was a good time. The painting with a twist franchise really has done a superb job breaking down the painting experience making it "do-able" for the ammatures. If you are looking for a ladies night out then make sure you check online for the photo you most associate with hanging up at home and register online for that date and time. Otherwise, you might be stuck with a $35 dollar piece of wall art that you simple don't dig. Lastly, if you are unhappy with your painting, they offer SOS once a month. It's a option where you can come in with your past painting and "fix" it for free. read more

This is the second painting with a twist location that I've been to. This one was a little smaller than the one in Fairport, but just as friendly and cozy. I forget the name of the painter, but my only issue with her was how fast she went through the steps. It seems as though we started late because a few people came in late. However, the drying periods seemed too long, thus the painter had to move quickly. I wish she was a little more thorough with instructions as well. Overall, good experience! I would suggest it for just about anyone, even if you aren't the creative type. read more

So I've been to three other locations and my experience here has been the best. Idk if it was because of the instructors or the set up of this particular location but the experience felt more inclusive and the instructors seemed like they knew what were doing. Other places felt like they got the instructors off the street to teach the class. Definitely recommend this location for drinks and painting! read more

Operation Freedom Ride cannot thank these ladies enough for allowing us to host a fundraiser in their studio! OFR is a dog and cat volunteer ran rescue that looks for every opportunity to raise money so we can supply our fosters with what they need while they take care of our foster dogs and cats. I reached out to PWAT to see if they had a program they could allow us to do and they immediately responded with Painting For A Purpose. Once we had the perfect weekend, we let our wonderful community do that rest; sign up, drink wine, and paint! Our instructor was Angela and she was funny and a great guide! My group didn't lose their place once. Even if one of us needed an artistic hand, the extra guide stopped by quickly to help and got us right back where we needed to be. Everyone is allowed to bring in outside food for munching. I also had my bottle uncorked and recorked for me. It was a great touch. At the end of the two hour session, we raised $260 from PWAT and more in our donation bin. It was an absolutely amazing experience! read more

I brought my kids here today for the "all ages" painting. Although they did have fun and their painting came out nice, we hated that we felt so rushed. The instructor was ahead of most people by three steps for the majority of the time. The class was supposed to be for two hours but they were trying to rush us out ahead of time. The instructor was ordering people to take a picture for their Facebook page and some people were still painting and a lot of people were still trying to dry their pictures. Would have been a great time but there was a lot of frustration in the room because of being so rushed. We didn't seem to have that problem at another location. I went here for a bachelorette private party. The employees were really friendly and did a great job with helping all of us with our paintings. They went with the pace of the party and didn't go too fast nor too slow. They have a variety of paintings to choose from and our bride was able to choose the picture we painted that night. You are also able to bring your own wine to the party. If you forget their is a liquor store in the plaza you can go to and I believe you get a discount if you say you are attending a painting with a twist party. I wanted something to do with a friend and thought this sounded fun. And they didn't disappoint! We booked our next class and so on. However, when I went to sign up for another class, the price was different on the website and my $5 discount they give you for signing up for another class at THAT class was not honored. They made it feel like they were doing me a favor because I'm not suppose to get a $5 discount each and everytime I sign up for a class. Worse part about it, I was bringing more people with me and so was my friend. I had fun, exasperating at times with the painting but loved it!! They need to honor prices listed on-line, especially if management posted incorrectly. And offer $5 discount at each and every class for signing up for additional classes, that motivated me to sign up for the next class! They have lost my business and all my friends/families, very disappointed!! So 2 stars for the business side of it, 5 stars for the fun experience. read more

My husband and I came here last night, celebrating a late Valentine's, and we had a great time! It was a full class, and we could all follow along at a good pace. It was easy to see the instructor guiding us, and Topher was fun, and upbeat too! And when a couple others asked for another color, the staff gladly gave them some. Some of the people were there for a work party, and brought their own food and wine, and they seemed to enjoy it! My husband and I enjoy art, and we had a lot of fun, though you don't need to be artistic at all! read more
