I tried some of the food products from 2 of the vendors and came down with a bad case of the runs. Lasted 3 days. I also noticed that they called the police to officially trespass a guy who was holding a sign that said "God Bless the Homeless Vets." These guys think they own the park and the sidewalks. Great Saturday activity! So many local artists, cooks, makers, and more. The walk is easy and all of the vendors are so nice. Wide variety of goods! Food, produce, baked goods, plants, hand-made jewelry and crafts, pet stuff, artwork, you name it! Lots of dogs which makes everything better. We left at 11 and I think it was a touch busier, but nothing terrible. We got there at 9:30 and parked in front of the Child Discovery Center which required just a couple minutes walk and was free. We confirmed the location was closed on Saturday and did not show any signage about parking. Would be a good option for you to plug into your GPS. read more

Great crowd, food, and friendly environment. Go early and bring your dog for a nice walk and make some new friends. Parking can be a little difficult on the street, but it pays to park in the metered areas instead of the lots that can get expensive. Good variety of fresh produce, native plants, and local artwork. Loved the feel of this market. We got a delicious smoothie, some tasty pickles, drool worthy dolce de leche, and some art that I couldn't leave without. I stopped by this market yesterday while I was in town. I can't say that it's a great thing if you're traveling, but if you lived here I think it would be pretty cool. There were nice fruit and vegetables, some tasty looking jellies and jams, and some good looking potted plants (even some bonsai). There were some other artsy things too, metal sculptures and paintings mainly, and a few other random things (saw some dorayaki - an asian confectionary). It's a fairly small market, but it is right downtown and there is free parking in the courthouse parking lot. read more

This is such a great little market and we were delighted that we were staying so close to it, while on our trip. The market is open every Saturday, 9am to 2 pm, rain or shine. You're going to find a little bit of everything here: food, vegetables, homemade crafts, art, soap, etc. We walked through and David decided to get some homemade honey, which was conveniently being sold. There was also someone else selling salsa- he was from Mobile, but "small world" time, he used to work in Marrero! I love the way the market is setup along the MLK Jr. plaza and everything is really easy to find. No matter what you are looking for in the "homemade/fresh" realm, you are sure to find it here. The really cool thing about the market is you can go on their website and look at all of the vendors, so you know what the market offers before you visit. read more

A must do of Pensacola, whether visiting short or long term. Don't be fooled though, calling it a Farmer's Market is deceiving (if you're looking for a large produce selection go to the T&W Flea Market!). Though there are a lot of fresh egg vendors and one or two produce stalls. This is an artisan vendors market. You will find all types of unique handmade goods: jewelry, cosmetics, art, crafts, and cosmetics. A truly wonderful way to spend a Saturday and get a condensed sampling of local artisans. Some of my favorites are Delia Stone (jewelry); I KEPT going back each week for more! Lovely stones in interesting metal settings and priced fairly. Ladyloved cosmetics; organic beauty serums and elixirs. When you see the ageless face of the beautiful woman who crafts them, you know they work! Go and see these stalls and find your own favorites too!! read more

What a great way to spend a Saturday morning! Strolling through the market- full of artisans, musicians & food! So much artistry- jewelry, canvases, woodwork, metal work, baked treats! Oh my! So much eye candy as things dazzled before me! I was tempted by so much- eventually bought a pair of mosaic earrings from the last vendor on the South end of the market (I started at the North End). Because I am an artist and craft quite a bit- I know how things should be priced, most vendors had fair prices- understand the time and costs that go into creating various arts. It was wonderful to meet some very talented crafty peeps! Have fun, spend money locally! read more

Was a little disappointed with the lack of fresh fruit. Mainly Florida oranges. None to be found. We checked out a fruit and vegetable stand on the other side of town and found more produce. Besides that they had a lot of things that were interesting and unusual. Salsas, organic eggs of different colors (really), hand made jewelry, breads, pies, cakes, etc. All in all it was a great place to visit. We will go back next time we visit. read more

Parking is available along the street near the market area, as well as in a lot on the west side of Palafox Street. My girlfriend and I got ridiculously sunburnt on the beach Friday and couldn't bring ourselves to get out there again Saturday. We did some research and found a link to an article about the market. We had a lot of fun. There was everything from woodwork, to art, to produce, to food and drinks. All of the vendors were really nice and appreciative. We're in a small car and staying in a hotel but we still ended up buying some blueberry pound cake, a loaf of fresh bread, and some strawberry/dewberry preserves. My girlfriend also got some homemade sea salt scrub. The coolest booth was a woodworking booth where the lady has made plenty of custom cutting boards, benches, and cheese cutting boards. I wish I needed one, because everything looked so cool. It wasn't very expensive either. Anyway, we enjoyed it and it's from 9:00am-2:00pm on Saturdays so you have plenty of time to get there. read more

This is the best farmers around for miles! We have been priveleged to be able to sell our bread and granolas there since 2011 and we have some wonderful customers as well as having a lot of fun! It was a small market. I got some baked goodies from a vendor (3 mini bread loaves for $5). Next time I have to get a banana bread rum cake at another vendor. I personally think the food vendors were more interesting than the arts and crafts. This lack a lot of fresh produces. read more

OK time for a market review. If you are into farmers market or just plain old cool stuff (like my wife and I) and you are in Pensacola you must go to the The Palafox Market. This is such a cool market and they have stuff for everyone. This is such a cool set up, you can walk down the middles of Martin Luther King Jr. Plaza on N. Palafox St. between Wright St. and Garden St. The have tents set up on both side of the sidewalk. We had some awesome juice from a vendor and deep fried peanuts, which I make as well. read more

I think the Palafox Market is a place that all Pensacolians should visit at least once in their lifetime. The Palafox Market features a fairly expansive selection of locally made goods. There is two sections to the market - one for foods items, and a section for homemade toiletries and trinkets. The market is located in the median on Palafox Place. You may have to search a while for a parking spot along Palafox because of the popularity of the market. My wife and I have made it a habit to visit the market every weekend now to stock up on our supplies. Our favorite stands has to be the produce, honey, and homemade soap stands. The Palafox Market is now our major source of Christmas gifts every year - be sure to drop by around the holidays for very unique Christmas gifts. read more

This is a wonderful place. The trees provide a welcome shade in the real hot months and throughout the year the sun plays through the trees to create a tranquill atmosphere. The vendors that sell here provide the best organic food your going to find in town! After two and a half years of buying food from this market I must say I feel great and look forward to every Saturday to get more good for you food. You can also find one of a kind crafts, art and utility designs. The best food, products I have experienced here are the Keens Beans organic coffee, grown in Costa Rica. If you love great tasting coffee, this is Arabica bean at its best. Julian Kaisers baked goods are out of this world. I don't remember their name but the flower lady right down from them, got a Boganvilla couple years ago hanging plant. Po-Man for the great jerky. The Always Wood guy the next block over has beautiful wood boxes. Stewart Farms for all the veggies you need to eat. Kitttrells Daydream Honey is so good, put in the coffee I do. And this is the best place to get Strawberries, but get there early, the good stuff goes fast as this has become a popular Saturday ritual with over 100 vendors and wins the American Farmland Trust contest for best farmer's market for the size. read more
