Let me start by saying that I rarely leave negative reviews, especially for a local business in Milton, Florida, where I was born and raised. I understand how important small businesses are to our community and generally try to support them whenever possible. Unfortunately, my experience at this establishment was very disappointing. During my visit, I spent approximately $45 and was made to feel as though I was being treated with suspicion, despite giving no reason for concern. The way I was looked at and spoken to left me feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome. In addition, I was troubled by the way the owner appeared to interact with both customers and employees. Professionalism, respect, and good customer service are essential in any business, and unfortunately, that was not the experience I had. If you're anywhere near Bypass Farmers Market, do yourself a favor and stop in. This place is the real deal. Five stars all day. The moment you walk in, you can tell this isn't some big chain pretending to be local--this is the kind of spot that actually is local. Fresh produce that looks like it came straight off the farm, a great selection of meats, and plenty of those little extras you didn't know you needed until you saw them. What I really appreciate is the quality. Everything I've picked up here--from the vegetables to the cuts of meat--has been fresh, flavorful, and worth every penny. You can taste the difference. And here's a bonus I didn't expect--I can actually find items here for making Indonesian meals. That's not something you see everywhere, and it's a big win in my book. The staff are friendly, helpful, and make you feel like a regular even if it's your first visit. That kind of service goes a long way. Sandy and her team are all very friendly, informative and real. It's nice speaking to people who are authentic and passionate. In addition to the array of fresh fruits and vegetables they showcase other food artisans and make the most scrumptious black garlic and black garlic variations on household favorites like hummus, mushroom soup, butter, etc all infused with black garlic! I buy the bulbs and put full cloves on crackers or baguette. They spread like butter and are creamy and fragrant. Damn I'm hungry just thinking about this. I'm in MN on business so I guess I'll have to wait till I'm home! P.s.- the health benefits of black garlic are amazing, look it up. Oh and she ships to other states...just sayin' read more

This is a really nice place. I've been there 3 times now (all this week) and it has become my favorite spot for produce. The people are very friendly and everything is fresh and well organized. The prices are reasonable on most items but not all. I thought $5.00 for a medium sized watermelon was way too high. Most other items were normally priced though. They have a nice variety of Filipino foods and spices including specialty soy sauces, flavored sodas and various types of rice and noodles. They even have Sio Pao that tastes just like I used to get from the street vendors in the Philippines when I lived there. The Sio Pao (get the pork) is in the frozen section along with the lumpia. I ~definately~ recommend both. All of the fruits and vegetables were fresh, but like the other reviewers said, I'm pretty sure that the majority of it is not locally grown. I specifically went there to grab just a few items for a particular dish and oddly enough, they didn't have carrots. I thought that would have been a staple at a farmer's market but oh well..maybe next week. There is a refrigerated section in the back that has prepackaged fruits and vegatables that I thought was a hell of a deal. If you go, be sure to check it out. You know, I go here all of the time and like it (obviously), but it's not just a "Farmer's Market." Matter of fact, I'm not convinced that anything in the place came from a local farmer, although I could be wrong about that. I am probably wrong about that, but I'm pretty sure that no farmer around here grows chinchilla raspcherries or whatever weird stuff you might find inside. That said, I always find some neat stuff and grab a half-dozen packages of ramen noodles that I had never seen before. The Amish butter is underwhelming, but those frozen lumpia are pretty kick-ass. I've also bought many quart bags of fresh-shelled peas that are always delicious with Conecuh snausage. I also get a cup of boiled peanuts every second or third trip. because this is Milton, Florida and that's how we roll. read more

As far as I know, this is the only "farmer's market" in Milton, FL, and they are open every day except Sunday, they are not a weekend only place. They have a lot of fresh produce, and they have added a lot of really neat non-produce products from overseas that I can usually only find in Asian specialty markets. Everything looked amazing, and the prices are very reasonable. The cashier (I think maybe the owner?) is very knowledgeable about the produce, and extremely patient and helpful. The coolest part about this place? They sell artificial flowers outside the store, and if the store is closed, you write down what set of flowers you bought and the price, and put the money in a lockbox, thus they rely on buyer honesty. I am beyond excited that I stumbled across this farmers market/mom and pop business on Yelp. They have great produce and a great eclectic variety of frozen international foods! I've been driving all the way to Pensacola for international items and I'm just so happy to find it locally. They did mention that if I need any type of produce in particular, I could make a specific order. Now that is awesome! Oh, and fresh boiled peanuts... Even better!!! read more

$30 a bushel for zipper peas is way too much, Bought 2 bushels there. Glad I found some for $18 and another place for $22. Really love the place but I can't afford that. or otherwise I would drive from Navarre every weekend and buy alll my vegetables there. Love the place! read more
