Unfriendliest bar on the island…read more Refused to serve me because I was on my own on a table for four and they were looking to maximise their income. If all bars & restaurants adopted this policy there would be a lot of malnourished single travellers returning from their holidays in Tenerife! In reality of course it is not a problem because people will ask whether the spare seats are taken and will either join you or move the chairs to another table to join their friends. This was never an issue in the past few years as the bar looked to establish itself after having been closed for a couple of years and they were happy for all the custom they could get. I suppose now they feel they are established enough not to worry about upsetting their previous customers. Well, all I can say is be nice to people now you feel you have become established - you may meet them again on the way down.

The dishes we ordered, 5 Continents Beef, and the Monkey Burger, were tasty. However, my burger was cooked medium instead of medium well--a little too much pink for me. I also wanted onion rings instead of the fries with the burger, but the server said I couldn't do it, even when I offered to pay more. Not cool. The fries and salad that the entrees came with were perfect--hot and fresh. I also like the small bowl of mayo/ketchup they provided without me asking for it. For dessert, we had the carrot cake. It was good with the cream and berries on the outside of the plate, and the lemon icing was also good, but the actual carrot cake inside was far too plain--no raisins, or walnuts, in it. The decor in the place is cool with hints of monkeys here and there.

The staff were very friendly and professional, creating a great atmosphere without ever being over the top. The whole place was also spotless, which really added to the experience. It's a great spot to relax, enjoy a few drinks, and take in the lively surroundings. We'll definitely be back next time we're in Tenerife!
