It was very exciting to hear that the Philippines had other beer besides the normal San Migs, Red Horse and other imports, so I had to check it out for myself when I got to Puerto Princessa. The outdoor bar has a welcoming vibe consisting of a front bar with barstools, ample seating of polished tables and benches; meanwhile, music videos add to the relaxed ambiance on a big screen TV. The bartender was very nice and welcoming, and they carried a great selection of in-house brews, tapas (if you end up getting the beer munchies like I do), and even carry their own in-house coconut rum! I noticed they opened later now (4P.M) unlike previous reviews of 1P.M. (could be slumping sales), so I hope that they flourish and have continued success as I believe they are a part of what makes Puerto Princessa unique.

It's great to see the craft beer movement growing in the Philippines! Palaweno is the newest, and only brewery in Palawan and they are really making waves. Their brewery/tasting room is open Monday - Saturday 1pm - 9pm. They brew about a dozen different beers, available on tap and bottles on site, and I'm starting to see their beer in bars , restaurants and convenience stores around the country. I enjoyed a few glasses of their honey kolsch and American ale last night with a few other thirsty travelers while Carmel, the lovely hostess explained the history of the place. I was interested to learn that it is female owned. They also have an outdoor area with a stage where they have special events. Great place to start your evening in Puerto Princesa!
Ah, this brewery offers delicious beer and some pretty yummy treats. In fact, I put Palawan Brewery up next to any brewery at home. They have nice selection of beers, with hearty flavor as crisp notes throughout their menu. They also offer some very pub friendly treats that had a western bite. I was particularly fond of their yummy cheese sticks. Every thing was great about this brewery; I just wish that they had more merchandise in their store. read more

Highly recommend checking this place out if you're in the Puerto Princessa area. It's female owned :) They've had a few beers exported to California, but after Covid, it was better financially to keep it in Palawan. Hopefully they expand! My favorites were the honey kolch and the coconut rum!! The rum was SO good with real pieced and coconut. Service was very nice and hospitable. It's an open area kind of vibe with darts, jenga, and a ping pong table. Looks like they could have a DJ as well. Bring bug spray! I got bit a couple of times sitting outside. read more
A couple travel buddies told me to check out Palaweno Brewery when I was in town. After lunch, I headed over to see what all the fuss was about. Their claim to fame is that it's Palawan's first and only craft brewery. It's also owned and run by a female brewer. I dropped in on a Saturday afternoon (around 1:30pm) and ended up staying a few hours chatting with the friendly bartender (Fem) and a few other travellers. The place is laid back with music videos playing at the bar and plenty of seating. There's 5 beer mainstays, two speciality beers (only produced once a year) and bar snacks. - Palaw'an honey kolsch (170 PHP) - light, easy drinking with this one. - Mango de Palawan (250 PHP) - this is one of their speciality/seasonal beers. Mango in an IPA style. Honestly, I wanted more mango flavour. Definitely worth a visit while you're in PP. Nice to see craft beer gaining popularity in the Philippines. They're even opening up a satellite location in New Jersey! read more

Small and super overpriced brewery. They serve some poor beers and charge them 3-4 times as much as any other local beer. You can get cheaper beers in any european craft beer bar. Here its like 4€ for a small beer ;) don't know who buys that but good luck. read more
