There are 2 bathrooms, both of which were very clean, but one was out of toilet paper. I have read this in several reviews, so make sure to bring your own just in case. The campground is off a gravel road about 5 miles up the canyon. The road is used mainly for ATVs and there are many blind corners, so be careful when driving so you don't hurt anyone! I wouldn't recommend driving up the road at night or with a giant trailer, and I was a bit worried about my vintage trailer rattling apart on the drive during the day. But it was fine, luckily. There was a small lake/pond nearby that seems to be popular for fishing and canoeing. It also probably breeds mosquitos, as my legs have never been so eaten up and swollen from bites before! I even had 2 pairs of pants on and bug spray soaking my skin and pants. I got bitten between the fingers a few times too, which was a first for me. When I visited in July, the weather was only maybe 5 degrees cooler at the campground than in the valley, so bring a fan if you like cool air while you sleep. Site 5 is beautiful, although there was sometimes a whiff of bathroom stink as it is immediately across from it. It didn't bother me, though. Small drawbacks aside, this was a beautiful campground, there was only 1 other site in use while we were there, and we ooohed and ahhhed over the Milky Way at night. We have always found the rooms to be clean and fully ready for occupancy. Rooms here are free of odors be it smoke, animal or just plain stuffiness. The wi-fi, tv, heating and cooling all perform as one would expect. Horseshoe Mountain Lodge is a two-story facility with convenient parking right in front of ground-floor rooms. An enjoyable stay in a nice facility at reasonable prices earns them five well-deserved stars.

In fact, that sweet grandma may be the same lady that was ensuring all the food was stocked and helping people get ice from the beastly machine. The rooms are pretty outdated, but clean enough. And surprisingly, the bed was rather comfortable. I'll bring my own toiletries since what they give you is pretty minimal. The door to the room stuck, so we had to slam it to close it all the way-sorry neighbors! For what it is, and what it's advertised to be, the Willow Creek Inn is just fine.

We originally had the Moonlight suite reserved, but ended up in the Lavender suite instead. Just wow. So beautiful and unique. The king bed is a sleep number so my boyfriend and I each adjusted our own sides to what we liked and it was awesome. There was an attached outside patio with a hammock, the jetted tub was giant for me and my boyfriend to fit in with room to spare (it could fit three people really) and the changing lights and jets just really made it amazing. Seriously the best tub I've ever taken a bath in it was so romantic. They have a huge selection of dvds for the TV in the room as well (I'd say maybe bring a couple of your own, the two we grabbed were empty unfortunately due to past guests having sticky fingers) but Wi-Fi available as well if you wanted to stream anything. We had the entire inn to ourselves on a Saturday night and it was very lovely and quiet. The included breakfast the next day by the owner/hostess Katelon was very nice and she is so knowledgeable about the town and had fun facts/spots to check out when we come back! There is a feeling of serenity to this place, from the calming music they play throughout the inn to the beautiful artwork and plants in every room. I'd definitely recommend anyone passing through or looking in the area to stay, to check it out. When you're driving down Highway 89 in Mount Pleasant, you'll see some brightly colored train…read morecars-still on the tracks, I might add, and wonder what that's about. If you're like me, you'll hurry and Google it while your spouse continues to drive, but then exclaim "we HAVE to stay there some time! It's a HOTEL!" This is exactly what happened to me. These train cars may look like typical train cars from the outside, but once you get in, you'll see that they've been transformed into modern, comfortable tiny houses-with small kitchens, bathroom, living room space and a bedroom. They are adorable! Just outside each unit is a patio where you can watch the sun rise over the adjacent park while sipping a cup of coffee. Sound dreamy? It is. I can't say enough good about our stay-everything was wonderful. I'm excited to come back and stay again when the weather is warmer and I can sit outside and enjoy more of nature. Or maybe during a rodeo where we can walk a few feet to all the action.
