This place was beautiful but not helpful! they put us in a spot that did not have hook ups and I was told when I called the spot did have hook ups! we did not bring are generator Because we would not need it! to make a long story short we took a spot that was available for 1 night after driving 5 and a half long hours with 4 kids we were done the next morning the ranger came around to talk to us and there was nothing they could do to help us so we left on this long journey home and the only information we were told was that this was through reservations America and they have messed up are site a few time I believe it was 413? I think well I spent a hour and a half on the phone with them to tell me it's the park's fault Because someone from there has to tell them if the spot has hookup are not such a shame in the customer service end of are anniversary camping trip gone wrong we won't be back that's for sure! We made it down to Panguitch lake and it was beautiful!

The campsites on top of the hill has no shade it was hot. Then there were little kids riding their ATVs in the parking lot and parents did not care. I called the ranger and they did nothing. Leaving a day early. Not a good experience at all! read more
As long as you are picky about where you stay we recommend this campground to anyone. I would stay away from the group site close to the bathrooms on the their side of the road next to the mountain. It did not feel like camping at all. Other spots here are fantastic though. The lake was not filled as you would expect with the weather we have had. It was much higher than than overall expected. We walked through the campground and wrote down campground numbers that we would want to stay at next time we are down here. Yes, there will be a next time for sure. 27 with 26 25 24/23 23 is double 24 is single water spicket close 6 9 double 10 double good shade 14/15 18 double in front of beach and bathrooms 22 single corner tons shade corner 3/22 across street good shade in both read more
We have camped at Palisade a couple of times and we really enjoy it. It's not too terribly far from the salt lake valley but just far enough to feel like a get away. The lake is small and does not allow any kind of motorized boats/jet skis etc but you can canoe, kayak, swim and all that stuff. They have rentals available for very good prices. Stand up paddle boards, canoes, and kayaks are $10 for an hour. They also have paddleboats for $15. Life jackets are included with your rental. I saw new this summer are youth kayaks for $5 an hour. There is a great trail around the entire lake to walk/hike. If you go off the beaten path a bit you will be treated to some gorgeous sites of the city of Sterling and lots of farmland below. There are lots of geocaches along the trail, both hidden by other geocachers and a whole series the park has hidden that teach you the history of the area. You can rent a GPS with them all plugged in as way marks already for a $5 deposit. Very fun for kids and if you're interested in the history of the area and lake. The bathrooms here are the cleanest of any campground I've been to, but beware. They close them to clean every morning so either get up early to pee or be prepared to hold it! There are also showers. Pro tip: The little restaurant by the golf course sells bags of ice for $2! read more

The camp was clean and nice. The camping spots were too close too each other. Not everyone was following the rules, which was disappointing. If the lake was remotely filled it would have been a great spot. Otherwise it was good but not great read more

This is a great place for family camping -- if the water level is up. Been there a few times when lake was dry and when lake was full. Golfing is always good here. You can rent paddle boats and canoes for the lake. You can rent ATVs in nearby Sterling for the trails up the canyon. There is a an actual park/playground for little kids, tent sites and RV sites with full hookups or partial hookups. A few group campsites. Fishing is decent. read more

We really enjoy camping here. But if you haven't tried the Lakeside grill you have been missing out. The food is all made from scratch and DELICIOUS. I enjoyed the shrimp dinner (the shrimp are HUGE) mashed potatoes and glazed carrots, cheeses rolls, chicken noodle soup (remember all homemade) my husband had the smothered chicken breast, mashed potatoes, Carrots and banana cream pie. The service was excellent and we spoke with the chef who said "this is how I cook at home" We are so very glad she shares her talent with the rest of us. read more

Beautiful park on a small lake. Stayed in a 20' Class C RV in a back-in spot with full hookups. If you don't need the hookups, there are spots very close to the trees and lake. Bathrooms have showers (push-button for 5 minutes of water), are fairly clean, and are convenient to the RV lot. Spots are level and wide, so backing in isn't too tricky. Firepits are $10 to rent, and $5 for firewood. They'll deliver both right to your RV spot. The park has a golf course, and you can rent canoes and paddleboats for the lake. The only downside was flies--a LOT of flies--that got into the RV. Don't leave your windows rolled down, and keep your screen door closed. Getting to the park can be a bit confusing if you just follow Google or Apple maps or your GPS. What worked best was to get close, then follow the signs. read more

Our family has been going here for last 15 years on the same weekend. It is a family tradition. Last year they changed their reservation system and we lost the weekend that we usually go and had to go a different weekend. This year we didn't even get the same month. We are now forced to find a different spot to camp after 15 years. Thanks but no thanks on the new reservation system. We are no longer fans of the park. read more
