I have a Honda walk-behind lawnmower that I thought just needed maintenance but turned out needing more (blame this user!). Furthermore, I expected that parts would need to be ordered, etc., and that the mower might be there for up to a few weeks. Instead, it was ready in less than 3 days! From the beginning. we purchased (3) new stand on mowers from Danny. We are a bigger commercial mowing operation. We also bought( 3 ) to be exact, Hedge trimmers from this guy. all totaling about $22-$23.000.00 . Though out the year we brought him several pieces of equip. to be worked on., besides the stuff we bought from him. I expressed how i was tired of being ripped off by crooked lawn care companies and that if i could find an honest one i would bring him all my business. Which i did ! So you would think this guy would really take care of you right ? WRONG ! It started when i would bring other equipment to be worked on. It would take him an eternity to fix anything. Then when he did fix anything he would charge me up the Kazoo ! I brought him a mower with an electrical problem. the pto wouldn't work. By the time he was done with me I had a $600.00 bill. He claimed he had to go through everything from top to bottom and it took him almost the entire day to locate the problem. wouldn't you think they ( being experienced ) would have a list of suspected places to look at first instead of going through everything ? FISHY RIGHT ! Angrily i paid the bill . Bur now my guard is up and i'm watching . One day one of the Gravely mowers had a drive pump issue . so i took it to him to be fixed under warrantee as it was only a couple of months old. Should be no problem right ? WRONG AGAIN ! He tried to blame the malfunctioning pump on us ! After me threatening him he finally agreed to fix it. It only took him just over 6 weeks to do. and i'm a Good customer ! Now one of our $400.00 Hedge trimmers loses compression. We take it to him under warrantee again as we just just bought them a couple of months earlier. Guess what he said ? Danny said he would look at it for $39.50 . and if it's a fuel related problem Warrantee won't cover it. This clown wanted $ 39.50 TO EVEN LOOK AT IT ! Just imagine how much your business is worth to him if you weren't like me and spent Thousands with him and he still treats you like that. You won't mean anything to him. This guy is a joke. I told him how frustrated i was with his decisions and how i'm a good customer and don't expect to be treated that way ,and that if he didn't fix the Hedger under warrantee then that would be the last straw and i would never again give him any business. but he didn't care. I have been a customer of Palm Bay Power Equipment for 10 years. 10 years ago, I purchased a Cub Cadet Zero Turn lawn mower from this company. I am a homeowner and not a commercial user. I bought from them and the price was the same as the big box store locally. I figured I would get better support from a local in the community rather than the corporate behemoth. Also wanted to keep the money local. I have to say it is one of the better decisions I've made. The service after the sale was and is still top notch. I am long out of warranty for my lawn mower, but I am happy to report my mower is still going strong today. I have had service only from this company and it has always been done properly and returned in the time frame they stated. Not only is it on time, but they pick up and deliver my mower. This family owned business is as good and honest as it gets. I have been a customer since 2015 when I purchased a large Hustler zero turn mower. Had never needed a mower like this until then. After my first year and time for service I had no idea where to go, so I started to review options. I chose Palm Bay Power Equipment. From the first time walking in the door, owners Danny and Teresa where very helpful. I have used them every year since for yearly service (ask about their January special that I take advantage of). I was mowing on Saturday May 25, 2019 and had a major incident with my mower's rear end and lost all power to move. This was Memorial Day weekend. So I called Danny and he was still open. I told him I was on the way and he waited on me. He diagnosed it immediately and said it was no problem. As he wrote it up I told him I needed it as soon as he could get to it as I was not done mowing. With this being a holiday weekend I was completely astonished when he called me on Monday mid morning (Memorial Day) and said it was done. They were open until noon because of the holiday. Their customer service is so good, and he knew I needed my mower back, he came in on Sunday and did the work himself. There was no extra charge for the expedited work which I would have paid for but was never even mentioned on his part. It is very hard to find friendly, reliable, fair and complete customer service as I have found this business to be. bad experience with this company ! recently purchased a generator through Amazon,arrived not working so we took it to this Briggs &Stratton dealer/service establishment. Three weeks later we received a call to say it was ready and we picked it up this morning ,only to be told our factory warranty was NO GOOD,reason given,we (US,the purchaser) had not put gas in the generator and that is why we could not get it to run. A very knowledgeable mechanic was trying to start it for us,definitely put gas in it !! The service Company denied it ever having gas in it and when our comment was that in the 3 weeks we waited for it ,any gas that was formerly in it would have evaporated they still denied there was ever gas in it. So,55.00 later we have out generator back home.Most un happy with these people as they have also lied about statements they made to us and are denying ever having said these things.
