Every single person I interacted with was so kind, helpful, warm, and welcoming. When I first walked in, I was greeted with a smile and a warm lavender-scented hand towel while I checked in. Upstairs, I was given a locker and shown around the women's locker room where there are clean showers, a sauna, bathrooms, and an area with sinks and toiletries. In the waiting area, I was asked to select 3 scented oils (one is used to scent the face cradle during the massage and the others are used on your body throughout the massage). Each scent comes with a card to explain the benefits of each one. My massage was AMAZING. I had Mike Johnson who was incredibly kind, funny, and listened really well to what I asked him to focus on and avoid. He was friendly, but didn't chat too much during the actual massage which was perfect for me. The actual massage itself (I asked for deep tissue) was excellent. Afterwards, I spent some time in their large sauna with 2 other friends, and felt incredibly relaxed and rejuvenated. I never felt rushed and the staff remained attentive the entire time. As I checked out, I had a lovely chat with Janet Goldman at the front desk, who explained the rigorous training and selection process that all employees have to go through. Tammy Fender makes sure her team is absolutely top notch and you can tell they all care so much about their clients. This was one of the best spas I have ever been to, hands down.

When I get to the check out counter (back in the claustrophobic room), when I initially went to pay, the charge was $70... Maxine came out, spoke to the lady behind the cash register quickly before she grabbed her next client, and the cashier informed me that deep tissue was an additional $10 more. I already thought it was a little too expensive, but hey, I NEEDED that massage. I had no problem paying the additional money - I could tell that even though the error made wasn't my fault, she still wanted her extra $10 bucks... I'm assuming she's the owner. Overall, Maxine gave an amazing, relaxing massage; she was polite & professional. The towels, blankets & sheets were all clean and smelled fresh. My massage therapist, Mike, didn't actually begin my massage until around 4:40 PM and finished at 6:00 PM, so I received only about 80 minutes instead of the full 90 minutes I paid for. When I checked out, the front desk asked how my massage was. I explained that I didn't receive the full 90 minutes. Instead of apologizing or looking into it, she simply asked whether I wanted to pay by cash or credit. Even though I didn't receive the full service, I still left a 15% tip. To my surprise, the front desk then asked if I could tip more. I explained that I hadn't even received the full massage I paid for and was already tipping on the full amount. Being asked to increase my tip under those circumstances was inappropriate and honestly left me speechless. Only after I raised the issue again did she say she would check the cameras and speak with the therapist. Mistakes happen, and I understand that. What disappointed me most wasn't just losing 10 minutes of my massage--it was the lack of accountability and the poor customer service afterward.
