I have been visiting this store as I am visiting this area a lot lately and getting ready to move here. I was excited to see a location near the house that I am moving to. I use the spray tan booth. I usually go the Suwanee location which is close to my work and have been going to that location for a year. Unfortunately, at the store in Kennesaw, the spray tan does not develop. The last 3 times I have gotten a spray tan at the Kennesaw location, my tan has not developed normally. I always use the dark solution and mix with iolite. When the tan develops, it is barely a tan at all and what tan there is fades away in a day or so. I do not have this issue at all at the other location in Suwanee. I am used to developing a dark bronzy color that looks fantastic. I sadly cannot visit this location anymore and I do not recommend it to anyone. As well, I am a premium member and am supposed to get a 20% discount on products, specifically the bronzer solutions that you add to the spray tan solution, and this location refuses to give the 20% discount. I was told when I signed up with PBT a year ago that I would always receive the 20% discount at any location. Not the case in Kennesaw! Sadly, even if they did decide to give me the discount, I can no longer visit the most convenient location and have to drive 20 to 30 minutes to get the closest one to me, because the spray tan booth does not work. read more

I used to go to this location before I moved out of the area and came back to reactivate after 5 years of being frozen. I had the best experience with the lady who helped me with all the details of unfreezing. She was super patient and walked me through getting restocked on lotions and answering all my questions. Even when I came years ago, I've always had great experiences with the staff. They always give off a positive and helpful energy. That's partly why I never fully cancelled because my rate is great and I knew if I came back to the area, I'd be back here. I don't understand the low ratings. Have you been in here? I feel like I've just walked in to the Narnia of tanning beds. This place is serious about their tanning and it all starts with the basics-the staff. I am a HUGE fan of customer service so when I walked in and met Sheena I was concerned I'd be rushed through the process all while she talked under her breath and checked her Facebook page, which is typical for a tanning salon, again, not the case at Palm Beach. Sheena shook my hand, showed me around, asked me questions and got me involved in the tour. I know it sounds ridiculous but as someone that works in the customer service field, for her to use my name in sentences and interact with me, I was instantly hooked. What can I say? Tanning addicts bond easily! There are 4 stages of tanning beds to choose from, each with different names and different levels of tanning. The top bed, the platinum, is unreal! This thing has more features than my car! Aroma therapy, built in stereo, different fan functions, facial lights, mood lighting and the bed talks to you! The bed I tried for my first tan was actually molded for your body. As compared to other typical beds that are flat acrylic, this bed has molds that fit the body and are actually comfortable. I hit start and the machine welcomed me and talked me through the features. I was a bit freaked out laying naked in a talking tube but I was instantly pleased with the silent feature as I started to fall asleep under the soothing, warm lights. When you sign up for a monthly plan you get all kinds of great perks: 25% off any of their lotions, a free spray tan and a free upgrade to a higher wattage bed. Did I mention the lotion choices? Just when I thought Sheena couldn't get any better, she went in to such intricate detail about each lotion, what it is good for, how you can use it, how it can bring out your tan and of course, moisturizer for after tanning. This girl rattled off suggestions and information about ingredients and scents like it was second nature. I asked how how she knew so much and she said "I believe in their products." One more reason why I love Palm Beach, they know their stuff. Don't let that pesky tanning tax get you down either. Sheena told me Palm Beach gives you back that money as a store credit to be used for upgrades. Suck it, pale congressmen! Sheena not only made me feel incredibly welcome but she walked me through the entire process and without being pushy or giving me a guilt trip, I signed up for a month of tanning. It was the best and easiest decision I made all day. Despite our rainy Summer, I look forward to a glowing tan all while I relax from the aroma therapy in my talking tanning bed! read more

I was transferred to this tanning bed overnight with out my consent when they bought out Solar Dimensions. I am looking for another tanning salon but this is the only one within 25 mins of where I live. 1) They continued to charge me for my beauty angel membership even though they don't have the beauty angel. I was never refunded. 2) They charge a very expensive sin tax onto everything that really adds up. So the price they claim is no where near the price u get charged. 3) There is NO parking between 5-7pm. 4) The very worse part is the ridiculous no tanning with in 24 hours. Schedule is crazy hectic and I can only tan 2 or 3 times a week and sometimes they happen to be 2 days in a row. But because of the ridiculous 24 hour rule your basically only allowed to tan every other day at most. The beds are great. But I'm paying twice what I had to pay before and am only allowed to use the beds half as much. I can't wait for another tanning salon to open near me. read more

I've been to other non chain tanning beds over the years, and this one is far the nicest! I bought the $30 a month level 2 package. The girl at the counter was really sweet and up front with any extra charges, to freeze the account is $7.50 but you can use that money towards upgrading or a lotion! She tried to sell be a really expensive lotion but I told her my price point and she found an alternative! I would say if you know you're going to tan you can find the same high quality lotions online for cheaper. A lot of people have negative reviews about them being pushy, but if you are firm with your pricing they won't push you! PBT is by far the nicest tanning bed and is very clean and spacious! read more

I absolutely LOVE this tanning bed! I have been going for about 2 years now. This location gives palm beach a bad name. The only time I come into the chastian one is when I'm over that way. Every time the staff is completely rude. Dont judge the entire salon by this location. I go to the one on cobb parkway in acworth and every staff member is exceptionally polite. I have been coming to this location for over a year now and have had nothing but positive results with the tanning and the staff. I took a hiatus for several months because my traveling with work was out of control and when I returned I found the store managers had changed. I loved the previous manager, she was always so polite, yet she made a mistake with my account and somehow didn't put it on hold. The credit card I was using at the time had expired so instead of them being able to charge my card, the balance accumulated on my account. I spoke with the new manager, Marc Anthony, and he was very polite and understanding and helped me bring my account back into balance so I could re-start fresh and new. I was super impressed by how he handled my situation. Also, this location is within a 10 minute walk from my office so i'ts nice to be able to just get up walk over there. PLUS! PLUS! Now, I've read the comments about the product up-sell and yes, I am asked every time I go in "do you have enough product" or "did you hear about the up grade". First of all, when I say thank you, I'm good - NO ONE has attempted to try and re-sell me. Calm down people, let's all stop being so sensitive, they're doing their jobs!! Second of all, I am absolutely thankful for the "did you hear about our upgrade" questions. If you catch it right you can upgrade a bed for a few dollars. Who doesn't like those kinds of savings!! I have been a planet tan customer from Columbus GA, Dallas TX and now Kennesaw and I have to admit I've never seen a place that only has 1 person working during the busiest time of tan season. To only have 1 person on duty from 8:00pm to closing is ridiculous. I've come during the day and they're usually more than 3 people BUT the last few hours of the day one 1. That's when the manager or assistant manager should be working until they have the staff members needed. Check out your daily stats hourly by the log in times and people then justify how many are needed during the day verses night. By around 8:30 pm the poor girl is swamped with a line of people waiting to get logged in and into their beds. I'm patient but my patience is running out and about to cancel my membership. The only thing keeping me coming back is Kathy who even under pressure treats all the customers with the utmost respect and very apologetic. I feel bad because she should have someone else helping her clean the beds, fold the towels and log people in without having to wait because a bed is dirty. So you, Ms Manager you might want to start working nights and assist your staff as it's usually Chelsea and Kathy .... and NO ONE else. I'm sure the district manager would hate to know that you're leaving your people a man down during the busiest times of the day. Can't sell any lotions or new memberships if they see how long the people in line are waiting. I only gave 2 stars because Chelsea and Kathy are great .... Otherwise it would be 1 star read more

I love this location because it is convenient for me, but I am starting to dread going because of an associate, Marc Anthony, tries to upsell me every single time I visit. I understand it is their job but when a customer says "I'm good." "No thank you." "No, I just want to tan" more than once and the associate STILL tries to sell and explain product to the customer, they are harming the company. Someone needs to have a chat with him. read more

This is THE WORST palm beach tan ever. I came here for months hoping it would get better but it never did so now i go 15 minutes out of my way to go to the PBT in either woodstock or Acworth because they are so much better there. Some of the girls are insanely rude and are pretty much rolling their eyes at you the entire time. Also beware - if you are getting a spray tan i am 99% sure the cartridges have nothing in them because they give off absolutely no color and that has happened on multiple occasions. Save yourself a waste of time and money and just go to the Acworth or Woodstock locations. read more

Probably worst experience at a tanning bed. Prices are ridiculous. I got my membership paused because of closing for quarantine. I didn't end up getting the rest of my month long membership tan back or anything. The girls working there are extremely rude and don't seem to know how to do their jobs. they are rude & pushy when it comes to trying to sell you their extremely expensive lotions. The manager at this location, "Mikayla" was the least helpful person i've spoken with at a business. She was disrespectful and it seems like the workers here don't know the whole "put the customer first" thing? Literally do not come here i paid $50 to get 4 tan sessions. read more

While I can't complain about the cleanliness or satisfaction of their products, their customer service is severely lacking. If I could give you any advice, it is to triple check the terms of your membership prior to signing. I fell for the "bait and switch" scam. And with over a week passing before someone from customer service contacted me, I am done beating my head against the wall with these people. Lesson learned. I got a spray tan today since I had an event the next day. I honestly have no idea what happened because I look like I got absolutely nothing. I've had spray tans before so there's no reason it should be this way except if they did something wrong. I had a few minutes to come back to try it again and the girl I talked to basically said they were busy so I may not be able to get in. SUPER frustrating. I enjoyed this tanning salon in the beginning planning to only join maybe a month or 2 to get my base tan. I called and cancelled thinking they actually cancelled and come to find out they failed to do so! So I had to pay another months to cancel AGAIN which is complete crap. When I explained what happened the "manager" simply said well I can print your contract you signed and I just wonder where it says that if I call in and cancel they won't cancel it and charge me another month?! I have been a PBT customer for over 4 years, and will continue my membership, but I will NEVER visit this location again. I had the worst two different experiences with the same girl behind the counter. She calls herself the manager, but I have never been treated so poorly by one. This situation happened at the beginning of this year, so for all I know, she may be gone, so I don't want to throw anyone under the bus that might be long gone. Her name's Alli btw. I had my debit card information STOLEN and had to wait for a new card. This was at the end of the month, so I went to the salon to let them know the current information was not correct but that my card wouldn't arrive until after the 2nd, which is when my autopay is taken out. The lady, who identified herself as a manager, NOT Alli, said that they wouldn't be able to even see any declined payments until the 8th I believe and to come back then. She said since I came by and gave them a heads up, they would waive their $10 late fee. She had even made the comment that she could see I have been a member since 2011 and have never had a late or missed payment. So, I came the day they told me to and that's when Alli was there. She was cold and short with me our entire conversation. When I told her I came in and spoke to a manager, she cut me off and said "Well I AM the manager, so I'm not sure who you would've talked to." Okay. She then took my new card and right before she swiped, told me it would be my monthly fee plus the late fee. I had just told her the story and reminded her that I was told that the late fee would be waived. BECAUSE STUFF HAPPENS SOMETIMES. She huffed and said she would waive it this time but that I should be aware that in the future, I WILL be charged a late fee. Terrible attitude and I left the salon that day disgusted. The following month, I noticed my account was not charged the usual membership fee. I called and the girl was reading back my info and, sure enough, the last 4 numbers on the card were my OLD ones. So all the stuff I went through in-person at the salon were basically for nothing. I had to come in again and give them my card. I did not go to the Kennesaw location, because I would no longer be a PBT member today if I had gone back and been forced to deal with Alli. After giving a jist of my situation, the lady was nice enough to waive the late fee because it obviously was not my fault for the payment not to come out of my account for a 2nd time. I was just so disappointed because I LOVE PBT! Their salons are always so beautifully kept and I have never ever received anything but wonderful customer service from tanned, smiley faces. To be treated so poorly, I almost cancelled my membership before walking out the door that day. Sorry for the long review, but the main reason I'm writing this is because I saw a couple of negative reviews for this location and saw they were responded to by PBT. But this is another issue I have. After I left the Kennesaw location, I went on their website and called the customer service number. It rang. And rang. And rang. Nothing happened. There is also an email address available. I wrote a message, gave them my name and contact info and pressed send. It has been 3 months and I haven't received so much as a thanks for the feedback email from PBT. Maybe if I let my opinion and experience be seen by others, they will care. I will continue to visit the other locations where I continue to get great service. I love so many things about this salon, I won't let one lady ruin it. But please be warned, if something does go wrong and you need to speak to someone above an in-store manager, chances are, you're out of luck. There won't be a voice on the other end of the line, nor a response to an e-mail. Still love you PBT! read more

I took it because this is the only location that opens at 7am. I spoke to corporate she was very nice and assured me she would take care of it. I guess we will see. I have never posted a review on anything before in my life but this time really got me aggravated! This place is beautiful and very luxurious! The reason I gave this tanning salon a one star is because of the staff. Sure, they are nice when you first walk in but once you start asking them questions they get annoyed with you and just want you to go away. The girl that gave me a tour of the place took about 30 minutes. She was nice but very pushy! I told her what kind of bed I'd like and she told me that, that kind of bed was wrong for me and tried to get me to buy the most expensive bed. When she finally sold me on the second most expensive bed she then tried to sell me on lotions but I already had a lotion and she got really frustrated with me. while she was signing me up she kept having conversions with all the other employees there. They were not nice to each other. When it was all said and done I left feeling like I was a burden to them and every time I'd go back to tan I felt like I was an inconvenience to them. When I didn't want the membership anyone I went in and asked how to get out of it or were they just going to stop charging my card, this was on the 26th of the month and the girl said I had to let them know by the 25th of the month and there is nothing they can do. I was never told this so I called the corporate number to see if they could help me. The lady was so rude with me! If I am going to pay this much money on something I'd like to at least have the customer service to back it up. read more

I just moved up from Boston & a friend of mine recommended this place so I thought I would give it a try! The place is entirely too busy for only one person to be working in the evening. And that's legit the only time I'm able to go as I stay home with my kids until hubby gets out of work. I make dinner & go after. I was given a coupon from a book given to me on campus. There were 3 coupons, all seeming good to me. This was the first time I'd ever been to a tanning salon, so i decided to call the location & ask a few questions. I got a lovely girl named Lauren on the phone, and she answered every question & was exceptionally nice. (I read reviews saying everyone was rude, so it was a nice shock to talk to her.) she told me she'd be in the store the next day, so i decided i'd try it then. I walked in & there were two ladies, one blonde & the other Lauren. Lauren was still her nice self, but the other lady was more judgmental (i'm very pale so I'm sure she didn't take me seriously) & less friendly. That is, until she saw me pulling out my wallet & paying for the service, then she did a 180 & was very pleasant. Lauren walked me around, showed me every bed & the spray tans, and after i explained what I wanted she advised me towards the mystic spray tans & wow! I loved them! My skin was the exact shade i wanted. Once summer rolls around I plan on getting a membership! (This was last september though, so hopefully i recognize a few faces.) read more

If I could give PBT Kennesaw a 0 star rating I would. I thought I was signing up for a one month membership, was told to sign their electronic machine and put a credit card on file. Was told that they would not charge my card!! Here it is one month later and my card has been charged. They won't recredit anything despite it being their mistake. NEVER GO TO PALM BEACH. Their beds are great (if they're clean) but the customer service is awful and they don't care if they lose business. read more

Great beds, HORRIBLE SERVICE. I used to work at a highly reputable tanning salon and have never heard of their absurd policies. I've had 2 "men" assist me and both times I waited at the front desk for over 10 min because no one was in there and they both proceeded were extremely rude once they came out of their employee room. Management needs to step it up. I understand gradually adding time to someone's tan limit but I have never heard of making someone wait a full 24 hours before they can tan again. Great place to tan. Excellent products and knowledgeable staff. Sometimes they are a bit backed up but if a business is good, that should a little expected. At $94.00 a month for a diamond membership, it can get a little pricey. I have checked around and for a tanning salon that is clean and classy, they are comparable. read more

I received a tanning pkg for Christmas 2012 from my husband at Palm Beach.The reason he paid extra for this package was the advertised open time of 7 am. I work out 3 to 5 days a week and this time fit perfectly in that schedule. On the following 3 dates I could not access the business at 7 am arrival. Jan 3; Jan 14th & Jan 17th. Not only does this delay my schedule that day but due to the State regulations I can not access to tan again for a full 24 hours which delays my entire week or I must skip a day to get back on schedule to the 7 am time. I arrived at 7 am (Jan 3rd) to find the business lobby totally black with no signage on. I waited outside until about 6 minutes after when I attempted to google the business for the number to call. When it did not connect from the internet I looked up to grab a pen from my purse only to see an employee booting up the computers in the lobby by the light of my headlights. I gathered my things and went to stand outside the door. I was let in (still no lights on) she returned to the computer, typed and then turned on the lights and the open sign. When she could finally get me checked in I asked if I would have to wait until this time the next day to be able to tan. I was told Yes its the state law we have no control of it I responded well is that fair? I was told Well we were open I responded If you were open then why werent the lights in the lobby on or the sign on? Am I suppose to come up to a unlit business and try the door and knock? I was told again there was nothing she could do about it. I tanned and on my way out I requested the store managers name and number. I was handed a card & told This is her card but she wont be here much longer After the Jan 3 delay I received dirty looks from the staff member and rude behavior each time entering the location because I contacted the store manager. Jan 14th same staff member arrived 7:16; Jan 17th I waited until 7:20 after leaving messages at the business & corp. office & noone had shown up at that point. To this point noone from the location has attempted to contact me since the 17th 2 messages were left. I have spoke to corp. customer service & the area manager & I have requested a refund for the month which was denied. I was offered a upgrade tan or a spray tan which I declined. Upon the cancellation request I requested refund of the remaining days not used & it was also denied. read more
