The course design,layout, friendly staff was absolutely incredible to be around and be apart of. This is truely a remarkable community with a ton of wonderful residents located inside. The greens and fairways are perfect and in amazing condition through anywhere you look and it is amazing to see the quality of play you experience here. From start to finish it was an experience I will not forget and the gentlemen named Dilan over at the driving range area was very knowledgeable and kind to give us tips and tricks even when he did not have to which shows they go above and beyond. If you are looking to join a private community with amazing amenities I would not look anywhere else

The Lakeside building has nice tables outside where one can eat lunch. The dining room staff, from myriad countries such as South Africa and Ireland is wonderful. The food is good, with delectable cracker assortment on the table to start. Dinner, even during the COVID period, is easily accessible for pick up or at Lakeside, though vegetarian options, other than salads, are scarce. As is the case in the majority of restaurants in the US, there seems to be little to no concern for the extensive use of plastic in take out and snack bar meals. There is recycling pick up in each village, but not sure if the club (& dining room) recycles at all. The infinity pool is lovely, inviting, with gushing massage spouts and lanes for laps. (In the summer though, the pool runs quite hot, even at 7 or 8 pm.) With luxury rest rooms. pro shop and sauna, the fitness Center, is well-outfitted, but nonetheless is difficult to get into if you are not a club member. (even if your family is a member/resident of the club) Takes lots of phone calls and other hoops to jump through to pay to go the gym even once. There seems to be a slight suspicion of anyone who is not a member here, even if they arrived well before the COVID break out. Additionally, Roundup (and other toxic pesticides) are used regularly. I witnessed workers, with backpacks of huge jugs of fungicide on their backs, dumping gallons of blue chemical liquid into the pond. Harbour Ridge is a National Audubon sited bird sanctuary, but I wonder how the birds can survive? And indeed, they seem to be scarcer here than they used to be, with usually only one Anhinga or White Ibis seen around the entire perimeter of the long pond (1/4 mile?) behind our village.

However, with my travel and my husband's travel, we decided to not renew. Based on the contract we signed and the discussion with the business manager, Beth, who told us we had to wait a year, to either switch our membership or cancel, we waited 11 months to notify them. We knew 4 months prior to a year that we weren't renewing. Upon trying to cancel, they bring up some by-laws that we have never seen that says we are liable for another full year because our membership was automatically renewed. We joined in December and were told we had to wait a year before we could change our membership. Now according to Beth, we didn't notify them prior to Oct. 1 so we are stuck liable for another full year membership that we haven't been using since we joined. I let them know beginning of October we weren't renewing but it was too late according to them. They will take a lien out on us if they need to and we must pay over 3,000 to settle it even though I let them know before our year was up. It is a scam. It is fine print at it's best. Clubs are struggling to make a profit so they are holding us to this by-law that we have never seen. The contract said nothing of it or the membership year dates or cancellation. We were never told to read the by-laws either. I am beyond irritated. I would recommend if you are considering joining you read EVERYTHING in their by-laws because it is scary what they claim they can do to someone for improper conduct, late payments, etc.

To be honest, I knew I didn't have much of a chance of winning the car contest, but I did my best. I always wash my car with Ice car wash and wax. I periodically have it waxed with Blackfire Midnight Sun, Ivory Carnauba Paste Wax. My friend, Eric is a wash and wax expert, so I pay him to wax it for me. He used to compete in car shows featuring Corvettes. He does a magnificent job of waxing my car for me. I have him do it every few months, but in between I get beautiful results with the Ice Wash and Wax. I have a black 2015 Mercedes E350. I love it. I realize my chances of winning the contest are slim, with the other competing impeccable cars that very rarely leave their garages. But I have a great time going and competing anyway. The Mercedes Club has a wonderful banquet and raffles that are also great fun! I didn't win the contest, but a great time was had by all. Diane won a beautiful Mercedes bag in the raffle, so all was not lost. At least it didn't rain and ruin my beautiful shine.
