AAALC has recruited the most incredible teachers. The class sizes are small and the instruction is very individualized. As a professional working in schools and a mother of 3, I have encountered many schools claiming to individualize the curriculum, but this tends not to be the case. AAALC creates classes based on the academic and social/emotional level of your child. They have highly experienced staff on sight that can tutor your child if needed. Each semester your child can choose from an out-of-the-box selection of electives and the school events are wonderful! I am beyond grateful that my children are growing up in such a positive environment that truly fosters the love of learning!

I remember the Florida Oceanographic Coastal Center fondly from my childhood, and it's good to see…read morethat they've expanded on their property for a nice little afternoon outing. Admission is $20 for adults, with child and military discounting. There's a lot of outdoor walking space around the main lake/lagoon where you can see the nurse sharks and sea turtles amongst the many other fish there. The weather was really nice the day we went, so we took a stroll through the nature trails. They are mostly boardwalk trails with a few covered stops with benches. The main trail is a 1 mile loop but there is also a 1/3 mile loop that is good for kids. The main trail will take you to the Indian River Lagoon for some nice storefront views! The main building has some cool artwork made of reclaimed beach litter that makes you really think about proper waste disposal. There's also a few tanks with cool fish and such to see. The entire center has a few different spaces for bathrooms that are easy to access. I'd recommend coming here for a nice day in the fresh air and sunshine to enjoy the flora and fauna of Florida!

They put colored pole with a shape that each knows. They swim over bump the Pole and get fed. These had boat injuries so they would never be in the wild. My husband brought our son last weekend specifically for the giant dumping bucket -- the main attraction for many kids, especially little ones who thrive on routine and familiarity. Unfortunately, it was completely down. Things happen. I understand maintenance issues. What was upsetting was the response afterward. When I called to ask about it, I was treated as if I was crazy for not "checking the website." I follow the social media pages and saw nothing posted. Even after checking the website afterward, I still could not find any notice stating the bucket was out of service. Instead of empathy or even a simple apology, the employee was rude, dismissive, and ultimately hung up on me. As a parent of a neurodivergent child, preparing kids for plans and expectations matters more than most people realize. A major attraction being closed on Mother's Day weekend without clear communication was disappointing enough -- but the lack of compassion afterward made it far worse. Families deserve better communication and basic kindness.

I love how they organize family festivals and parades. I also love that they keep the kids engaged and on schedules. Multiple trips to play outside, afternoon strolls in a buggy . Lots of sensory activities. I wish I started my daughter there sooner. The only con is that the company in charge of the cameras has not fixed the installer so we can't download it, but I know the administrator is working on it. Best daycare in St Lucie County. Get on the waiting list ASAP. We waited close to 6 months.

My Experience at This Childcare Center…read more This center was not welcoming or friendly at all. I came in specifically to inquire about availability for my toddler, and the first red flag was that I could not get anyone on the phone. When I arrived at the center, I stood outside the office window while two employees were openly having a conversation. No one opened the door, greeted me, or offered to assist me. Eventually, someone spoke with me, but I was left standing outside while she supposedly checked on availability. She was gone for a couple of seconds -- two seconds, to be exact -- before returning and telling me there was no availability. I was not asked for my name, my child's information, or whether I wanted to be placed on a waiting list. The door was then closed. Unfortunately, this experience made me understand why I had previously heard concerns from other parents about this center and possible issues involving how families of color are treated. I cannot speak to anyone else's experience, but I can speak to how I was treated, and I did not feel welcomed, respected, or valued as a parent seeking care for my child. Childcare centers serve families from all backgrounds, and every family deserves to be treated with the same professionalism, courtesy, and respect, regardless of race or ethnicity. I will be contacting the Early Learning Coalition and the Better Business Bureau to document my experience and ask that these concerns be addressed. Families deserve transparency, respectful communication, and equal treatment when seeking childcare for their children. This isn't about asking for special treatment. It's about expecting basic customer service and equal treatment for everyone.

However, with my travel and my husband's travel, we decided to not renew. Based on the contract we signed and the discussion with the business manager, Beth, who told us we had to wait a year, to either switch our membership or cancel, we waited 11 months to notify them. We knew 4 months prior to a year that we weren't renewing. Upon trying to cancel, they bring up some by-laws that we have never seen that says we are liable for another full year because our membership was automatically renewed. We joined in December and were told we had to wait a year before we could change our membership. Now according to Beth, we didn't notify them prior to Oct. 1 so we are stuck liable for another full year membership that we haven't been using since we joined. I let them know beginning of October we weren't renewing but it was too late according to them. They will take a lien out on us if they need to and we must pay over 3,000 to settle it even though I let them know before our year was up. It is a scam. It is fine print at it's best. Clubs are struggling to make a profit so they are holding us to this by-law that we have never seen. The contract said nothing of it or the membership year dates or cancellation. We were never told to read the by-laws either. I am beyond irritated. I would recommend if you are considering joining you read EVERYTHING in their by-laws because it is scary what they claim they can do to someone for improper conduct, late payments, etc.

Everything was planned to perfection and they kept a handful of 4-6 year olds engaged for approximately two hours (art, dancing and games). They allotted the perfect amount of time for each activity and kept everything on schedule. The kids had a blast and our daughter left beaming in happiness. Thanks to a job well done.
