We thought we'd have a quieter day on our holiday so we decided to spend a few hours looking around the animals and attractions. It turned out to be one of the best days of the holiday.
It's a little far out to travel so transport is useful but once there everything is very accessible. The shows are well spread out to give you time to wander thru the animal enclosures between them. The shows are well performed, informative and entertaining. They are not too long either, just as the sun starts to cook you its time to move on to the next thing. The paths are covered in foliage so you can keep cool, there are many different animals and areas all with useful information boards and wonderful settings.
The Dolphin show and Birds of prey are probably the highlight although due to time we missed the parrot show, sadly.
The show staff are fun, pleasant, informative and friendly in multiple languages as well. I got some fantastic photos of numerous animals as most are available without being behind bars at some point during the day, many exotic birds in free flight (providing entertainment when they don't perform as the trainer had hoped, an eagle left him to chase a wild buzzard around some mountains only coming back after the show providing some hilarious moments).
Everything was great except for the food, it was a quiet time in the season but the food was expensive, served from trays under heat lamps the food was cold which was disappointing and the selection is not great but don't let that stop you seeing the rest of this wonderful attraction.
Great spaces for the animals and the visitors alike, we were lucky to visit when not peak season so plenty of space around in the seating and able to see everything we wanted clearly. I imagine it could feel a little more crowded in high season, there are a few steep slopes to get up if you have mobility issues, might be a struggle but will be worth it.
If you fancy it you can get closer to the animals with photos of them with the trainers and you can enjoy a swimming with dolphins or meeting dolphins experience which also looked like a great and good value experience.
Reserve a whole day for this as everything is worth a look, maybe take a pack lunch if you can.
