My favourite place on the island…read more So relaxing and peaceful. As its the locals beach, not many tourists are seen, only locals, which makes it quieter and more cultural. Its clean and its lovely to sit on the warm sand looking at a good view. Rather than looking at an endless sea, you can enjoy the view of the mountains. The bars and restaurants by La Puntilla (at the beginning of the Las Canteras) are nice to sit in with a nice drink and with traditional food (really good food). You get good food + drinks for a good price with a great view and great weather. Its so quiet and fewer people unlike the beach down south in Playa del Ingles which is full of tourists everywhere! In the evening you get to walk in the shore and enjoy a great view of the sunset listening to waves. Id choose this beach on the island any day

We stayed for 2 hours. There are shops all along the beach! We went to a coffee shop and ice cream (froyo) on our way to this beach. One thing I liked was that the beach was pretty shallow - great for parents with kids to not have to worry about the beach being too deep for their children. This beach is pretty mossy and had lots of rocky areas. I did see lots of crabs all over the rocky parts of the beach. I love that they are able to live in their natural habitat but did not like how they were everywhere - eeeek!!! Overall nice beach!

You have to go with a guided tour and heard there might even be fewer spots to climb to the top as hikers love to take some of the flora as souvenirs. Def try to book weeks ahead. The views are still fantastic from the top of the cable car area. The guided hike starts where the cable car drops you off. It's not difficult and the panoramic views above the clouds are amazing - VERY peaceful. Make sure to stand at the very tippy top (a very small area for literally a few people; everyone gets a selfie from there). On the hike you also see & smell the fumaroles and the lovely, multi-colored landscape (yellow, white & reddish rocks). The guide always tells people to put their hand over a nearby fumarole so you feel just how hot the vapors can be. There's also a museum at the bottom of the cable car area which takes a creative spin on the creation of Mount Teide. You can even buy the comic book "Teide Legend"!

It's quite amazing in person. Also, driving through the black lava is very cool. Lots of twisty narrow roads so I suggest you leave the driving to someone else.

I just kept thinking how much my 9-year-old would have loved it too -- there's so much to see and do for all ages. We spent about six hours there, but it really wasn't enough. From start to finish, it was amazing. All of the shows were fantastic -- the orcas, sea lions, and dolphins were incredible to watch, and it was lovely to see how well cared for and happy the animals seemed. The staff clearly put a lot of effort into making the experience both entertaining and educational. Beyond the shows, the park itself is absolutely beautiful. The Aquarium is stunning, especially the shark tunnel, and the Planet Penguin exhibit -- complete with real snow -- was just brilliant. We also loved the Katandra Treetops aviary, where you can walk through bridges surrounded by tropical birds and lush greenery. Everywhere you go, the grounds are spotless and perfectly maintained. There are so many other animals and attractions to enjoy -- gorillas, tigers, parrots, orchids, and tropical gardens. The whole place is laid out really well, and it's easy to get around. The food options are good too, with plenty of places to grab a drink or a snack between shows. Everything about Loro Parque feels organised and professional, but also relaxed and welcoming. You can tell they genuinely care about animal welfare, which makes the experience even more enjoyable. My only advice is to arrive early and plan your route around the show times -- that way you can see everything without rushing. Overall, it was an unforgettable day and great value for money. We'll definitely go back on our next visit -- and next time, I'll be bringing my 9-year-old!
