That was different, but fine. The issue came when I had trouble moving my arm because I was in great pain. As he started helping me move it, I started to cry because of the pain. He then proceeded to call me a "drama queen." I just replied in tears, "it just hurts really bad." Regardless of what a patient is doing, simple professionalism does not allow for name calling. While the treatment was good, I am extremely disappointed in the character of Dr. Boyer.

I am still dealing with the side effects after 2 years, including dermatitis on lower limbs from nerve trauma and permanent damage. The vein clinic I now go to in Spokane said they will not perform the laser ablation on lower calf because of nerve damage. The whole experience has been a traumatic one for me. Not only that but Dr. Para's nurses downplayed my numerous phone calls after surgery due to concerns and anxiety and Dr. Para downplayed everything I mentioned to him about my results saying it was due to my age and projecting it back on me. Actually 51 is quite young. I am disappointed that i did not seek a second opinion after my initial consultation with him.

Since I was (and am still) experiencing chronic flank pain, I was willing to wait, and I booked it. Three months later, during the week of my appointment, I called to double check that a KUB scan had been ordered and was told I wasn't booked on Dr. Keizur's schedule at all. If I still wanted to be seen, I'd have to rebook and wait again. I called Gritman Urology in case I'd accidentally been put on Dr. Smith's schedule, but I wasn't listed there either. Gritman suggested my appointment may have been lost when Palouse Urology and Gritman Urology split into separate clinics earlier this year, but said they could get me booked sooner than Palouse Urology could, so I transferred my care there. Fingers crossed that Dr. Smith's office runs a little more smoothly.

Taylor Menard examined my x rays and gave me a list of recommendations, all of which I followed, and within hours, the pain I'd had for months had vanished and I could finally walk normally, without limping. The young woman at the front desk was extremely friendly and helpful, and none of the health care providers were condescending or impatient. They carefully explained my options and patiently listed to my questions. I noticed a negative review about staff from nine years ago, and all if can say is that the staff he complained about must have all left; the staff I've met with couldn't possibly be better or more professional. My only request is that it would be nice to have a sign at the main entry of the hospital, because I had trouble finding the office the first time I came in.
