Absolutely terrible customer service. They ruined my marine wool cardigan and didn't even press any of my shirts. When I called, I offered to text photos so they could see the damage, but they refused -- insisting I bring everything in. I explained that I'd just had surgery that morning and couldn't drive, but they still wouldn't even share a number so that I can share the photos. My cardigan is now ruined, my shirts looked untouched, and I ended up having to iron everything myself--an extremely disappointing experience. read more

I cannot recommend Palumbo Dry Cleaners enough. I was in town only for a few weeks to visit family and brought in one sweater for dry cleaning. They took as much care with my one item as with any other order, and did a fantastic job. The sweater came back to me better than new--I even picked it up early--and the staff was all smiles, and super friendly and quick, making the whole experience not only efficient but even enjoyable. In the past decade I have been to several cleaners in the Fort Collins area. Despite other cleaners being closer to where I live at the time, I always seem to be driving across town to visit Palumbo's. The quality of the cleaning job is always good and the time it takes to get the apparel clean is good as well. I highly recommend them! If you are particular about your clothes, don't use these guys. They actually refused service to my wife because she complained about a couple of things that were THEIR FAULT. One time they gave her an item that had splotches of color from someone else's garment. Another time, they eliminated pleats in an item that was supposed to have pleats, and then they were indignant about it when she pointed it out. If you are OK with a cleaner that doesn't take responsibility for their mistakes, feel free to use them, otherwise I recommend taking your business somewhere else. read more

I work in the service industry, and need to have clean, pressed shirts for every shift. I took ~3-4 shirts to Palumbo's per week from June until November. The prices are low, but the customer service is terrible. On three separate occasions, their equipment broke, which left me without work shirts. They were unapologetic and only offered me the "privilege" of renting one of their house shirts. The rental shirts were unusable, as they were stained or not in my size. The third time this happened, I didn't get my clothing until almost a week after the originally quoted day. When I asked the manager for a discount, he begrudgingly took $3 off my final total. I've been going to Palumbo Dry Cleaners for about a year now for my dry cleaning needs! The service is always great, they greet me with a smile and even know me by name now! The pricing is very very reasonable which I love and my shirts always come out beautifully and meet my managers high standards at my workplace. They're timing is awesome as well. It works really well with my schedule as they have most dry cleaning ready by 10 am the next day after drop off and even offer restaurant shirts for rental as well. I love the service here and have never had any issue with the service standards at this establishment. The one time I had a slight issue with the quality of a shirt, I took it back and they fixed it with no problem, the staff was very friendly and apologetic and had them ready for me the next morning! This business does not value your clothes. I have spent time collecting vintage clothes and designer clothes at thrift shop prices. I take great care of my clothes and see them as treasures. They have messed up my items and do not like to be asked to fix their mistakes. This dry cleaner will not value you your clothes or you as a customer. This has only happened since the ownership changed, the original owners valued me as a customer and understood how I value my clothing. read more

Been going to Palumbo for 7 years -- always had the best luck with an amazing staff and owner that ensured quality cleaning. They have changed quite a bit in the last 6 months -- have lost multiple items of mine and have seen it happen to multiple others while picking clothes up. I will agree they are the cheapest in the town -- however, remember you get what you pay for. Have had two shirts destroyed with no explanation or purpose of even letting me know. Also the loyal employees who worked for years under the original owner have all left -- guess that was a sign. read more

This was hands down the worst customer service experience I've had in all of Fort Collins--and arguably one of the worst I've had in any of the places I've lived. I dropped off an $80 sweater the other day, and it was returned to me with three decent-sized holes in the front. When I brought this to the attention of the owner, he immediately denied liability. He then spent the next 20 minutes trying to make me feel like an idiot for bringing the issue up with him. I told him I thought it was dishonest for him not to tell me about the holes when the sweater was returned to me (I had paid for the dry cleaning service before noticing the holes)--his response was that there was "no possible way" for him to keep track of the condition of every garment that came through his store. (If you ask me, when people are paying you help maintain the good condition of your clothes, implicit in that business exchange is to know the condition of the clothes that are given to you--and it is bad business to claim that you cannot be responsible to keep track of every item that is brought to your store.) I then told him that I didn't understand why he was so quick to deny liability, given that the sweater clearly didn't have holes in it when I brought it to him. He said it was IMPOSSIBLE (and used the word "impossible" a number of times) that the holes could have happened when the sweater was at the shop. So, while the owner claims to have no responsibility to keep track of the condition of garments when in his store, he feels he can still deny with utmost certainty that any damage incurred when in his custody were not his fault. At one point during the 20 minutes he spent telling me I was too stupid to understand fabric, he looked at another customer, blatantly pointed at me, and laughed. He also laughed at me when I asked to get reimbursed for the dry cleaning fee--a mere $3--which made me believe he cared more about proving me wrong than anything else. This business cares more about quantity than quality--heaven help you if something goes wrong with a valuable piece of clothing that you leave in their care. I would STRONGLY suggest finding another place to take your dry cleaning. read more

I was there one month ago to pick up my shirts, they could not find them, said they would look for them and call me. Updating. Again. New owners & they are working out issues. I most recently lost an expensive shirt through them, my brother lost a suit & I have heard of similar experiences now from many others. If I could give them a lower rating I definitely would. They show no respect for your clothing. I dropped off an expensive suit to be cleaned. Although I left it there on accident over summer. They didn't have the common courtesy to even give me a call about picking the clothes up before they just threw them out or donated them. If it was some casual suit I wouldn't care too much. This was a custom tailored suit that cost a decent buck. When I went in to grab the suit they pretty much told me to beat it. Worst dry cleaner I've ever been to. I bought my wedding dress as a sample at Dora Grace and it had some small stains along the edge of it. The shop highly recommended Palumbo and said they could totally get those out. As I was going to get my dress altered, it was recommended it be clean and ready prior to that. I brought my dress in and after speaking to the friendly front desk woman, she said the owner usually likes to double check so he came up, (Jeff I think). To be honest, he was kind of a jerk. He acted like what I was asking for was crazy and that I should never dry clean a dress before the wedding, even though I told him he came recommended. He was also quick to point out he couldn't guarantee anything, making me think they might mess up my dress somehow if I let them clean it. When I said "it feels like you don't really want my business" he backpedaled, but still was kind of rude. We settled on a "spot cleaning" to address the stains along the hem area. It was done when they said it would be and only cost me $10, and appears to have worked, although I haven't been able to do a full meticulous inspection of the hem. Overall, I would say it was ok. I'm still not quite sure why Dora Grace recommends them so much. read more

Palumbo Dry Cleaners ruined one of my favorite dresses and then tried to place the blame on me because it contained elastic material. Even though the tag instructions said 'dry clean only' apparently I should have known better. Even if there was a risk involved with cleaning the dress, I should have been notified before the damage was done. To remedy the situation Palumbo Dry Cleaners presented me with a shoddy seamstress job and a very poor attempt to reconstruct the dress back to normal. My family has been using Palumbo Dry Cleaners since they opened... I now live a considerable distance away from their location, but still make a special trip to take my clothing there. In the past 10+ years and many garments later, I have only had one issue. And that issue was resolved above and beyond my satisfaction by Jim, the owner. I have tried other dry cleaners because of the driving distance for me to drop off and pick up clothes, but in all the surrounding towns, I have found nothing comparable. I've used this company for years. However two times in the past 35 days I've had very poor customer service. I made a call to see if they could have some pressing done in a short amount of time. They promised it would be. Now I'm bringing my clothes home un touched and have to do them myself--If i had the time I would have done them myself in the first place. Hello wee hours of the night. On another occasion I brought a few shirts and couple pair of jeans in to be pressed and starched respectively. I was working with one attendant and explaining my order when another yelled across the shop that those were two different things and would cost more and all these things about how stupid I was to think that I knew what I was talking about. All the while I was holding the shirts saying I wanted them pressed and put my hand on the jeans when I said and these starched. As a result I'll never go back. I will not bad mouth the company because that's poor etiquette but I will not recommend them and I'll use someone else from now on. read more
