I have been renting from College City Properties for almost 1 year now. In September (only a month…read moreafter we moved in), we were asked if we would like to renew our lease. We conveyed our intent to resign our lease but never heard back from our property manager, who is very hard to contact to get things around the house fixed as it is. A few months later, we were accused by a neighbor of my dog being in her yard which was a false claim. David Furhman, the manager of this company, called me to accuse me of the same thing and tell me that I needed to be more neighborly despite me telling him this report was a lie. He told me he knew the lady across the street and "she is nice" before telling me he didnt "care about the he said-she said", while he was literally calling me over rumored information. Our trash can later went missing and it took several days for him to report it to the city for us to get a new one. He told us to search the neighborhood and put our trash in someone else's can (which I've since been told I could've gotten in trouble for by others). We had to ask several times for him to call the city. This all happened several months ago. On today's date, I got a text from David Furhman asking if I was still looking for a house for next year. I told him I was confused because I had conveyed my intention to stay at the current house I'm in. He informed me at that time they had leased it to someone else, without informing us while we are still living in it. This was never discussed with us. Our communication of our intent to renew was clearly ignored. I was told by the property manager that I could choose to move to any of the other houses he owns but could not stay here. My lease states that any official information must be relayed to all leasing via official documentation. All I have is a text from my landlord and my other two roommates were not contacted. Upon trying to resolve this with my landlord, I was told he is out of town and now he will not respond.
