I worked with Pamela for two years, and I highly recommend her to anyone seeking therapy. She brought skill, soul, unconditional love, and compassion to all her interactions with me as a client. I always felt supported and cared for with her, and she skillfully helped me come to the heart of some very tender and essential issues. Pamela strikes a wonderful balance between gentle, attentive presence and loving encouragement to engage in new explorations and skill sets. She seems to bring an intuitive understanding of people - something I'm sure was honed by her decade as a body worker before she became a therapist - and her somatic approach to therapy is deeply effective. Thankfully she also weaves her wonderful sense of humor throughout the process; after all, what is Life about if we can't laugh! Working with Pamela was hands down the most valuable investment I've made in my life. I will always carry with me the perspective, self-insight, and skills I gained working together. Greater understanding of, and love for, the self opens up a whole new world of being. read more

Working with Pamela has been a tremendous experience in support and growth.I came to Pamela for bodywork several years ago and was immediately impressed with how she was able to fix issues with my body in one session that had never even been able to be resolved by others. She is very in touch with her clients' needs and has always gone above and beyond my expectations of a practitioner. It was these initial experiences which began a better appreciation and education for me on how my body works. When I was diagnosed with cancer in January of 2011, Pamela was one of the first people that came to mind for collaboration. She wasn't afraid to work with my in my delicate condition and really did her homework regarding my treatment. We started with lymphatic bodywork for six months as part of my detox regime to help cleanse my system of the chemo. The work became more about coming back into my body. Pamela was there to witness what happened to me through this experience. I became aware of how the pain, neuropathy, and the emotional aspects of my battle with cancer manifested in my body. During cancer, I was in a fragile space. Doctors were touching me with needles, there was no normalcy in relation to my physical being, which was both frightening and draining -- I felt my body was betraying me. The heightened sensitivity /pain in my body from chemo made it so I was afraid to be touched by other people. Even my partner was unsure of how to touch me. Our sessions created mindfulness and a calm reprieve I looked forward to. Working with Pamela, I was able to feel free and grounded in my body again. It was a huge part of my recovery. I started doing somatic counseling with Pamela towards the middle of my cancer treatment. After the physical and emotional upheaval of surgery and chemo, our counseling sessions brought better clarity to my everyday life -- that how I hold myself physically is directly correlated to my emotions. Somatic counseling helped me to be ready to come to terms with the emotions that I deal with everyday... that were magnified by the recovery process. Working with Pamela has helped me be more self aware, take better care of myself, have better communication with my partner, and the work continues. It's not an awareness that I can put aside, it's a continuous way of life that I constantly learn from and improve upon. I'm not being fixed by someone else, but cultivating tools to heal myself. I'm more mindful in my everyday life and I'm learning more about myself which is empowering. I've often felt like after a certain point talk therapy allows me to avoid certain things that I don't want to deal with. It's easy to talk around subjects, say the same things, remain on a safe level -- the body doesn't lie. My work with Pamela takes the healing to another level. I'm actually asking myself questions I don't know the answers to. I feel safe to do the exploration and challenged enough to follow it through. read more

Pamela listens. We all wish for someone to just hear us through the multitude of varying pains we've accumulated over our whole lifetime. 2 years of her listening to me and guiding me to my own realizations that our pain is here to tell us what is presently going on. The beauty of why something is what it is, by getting to the root of it all, helps to distinguish our pains, yes more than one. I know this is short, just wanting to keep the idea of what Pamela provides to be simple. It only takes your eagerness to be well and a little patience to overcome obstacles and be grounded. THANK YOU PAMELA! you are a wonderful teacher. Respectfully, Katie. read more

Pamela is an exceptionally gifted counselor! My wife and I were in a really tough spot. I reached out to her while we were in a fight. Pamela went out of her way to schedule us in that same hour! She made us step into each others experience and look at one another from a totally opposite perspective. Through her guidance I was able to see what happens for my wife on a body level when i dont listen. We learned somatically how we escalate. Needless to say we made up and were able to talk to one another right after the session.Pamela is so accepting, loving, caring and keen in keen in her observations! With no hesitation she jumped in to an exercise to look inside and to unite. Not some wasteful talk therapy! Thank you Pamela for helping us with our communication and our marriage read more

When I was contemplating to quit my job of 8 years due to a burn out I decided it was time to get help and find a counselor. I looked at numerous websites to find someone who was professional and with whom I could connect. I liked Pamela's website (check it out) and made an appointment. I am so glad I did. I felt at ease with her from the start. Pamela is skilled in various techniques, and understands that different people need a different approach. She is very observant and I like it that she involves you in finding what works for you. Because that involvement I learned a lot about myself and Pamela taught me tools to help me connect with others. read more

I attended Pamela's Falling In Love course over a year ago, and am still amazed at the difference it's made in my life. The Course encouraged me (and still reminds me) to take time and space in all areas of my life which ends up enhancing all of it. I am reminded that I don't just exist between my ears, which I recall often, especially when I tend to stress out. This course if fabulous and perfect for everyone who thinks they don't have the time for it. read more

I met Pamela while assisting together in a 2 year long training curriculum for mindful experiential psychotherapy. Here, I've gotten to see her work both as an assistant to students and as a practitioner herself. Her background in somatic work and in theater arts make her a dynamic therapist What I can see uniquely about Pamela is this gift of a direct straight forward style. She pulls no punches. Which for me is great because then I feel like I can really trust her. At the same time, and this is more difficult to put into words, she brings a presence that welcomes a person's spirit. She has an ability to make each session poignant. I think this because what she is truly after is her clients' transformation. If this is what you're looking for, I'd recommend calling her. read more

I recently had a session with Pamela and it was magical! I came in after a busy day at work with my mind buzzing and my body wound up. My restorative yoga session with Pamela was not only relaxing, it was enlightening. Like most people, I spend most of my days "holding" onto things. Not physical things, but emotional things. My stress, my thoughts, my fears, my concerns, my "everything's great" mask. Though I've practiced restorative yoga in the past, this one-on-one session and 5-day solo practice really helped me focus on the experience, and realize how profound it is to really, actually let go. The act of physically letting go and letting down my guard created space for important issues to surface so I could observe them and hear them. Just creating time and space for stillness to occur felt like an extremely generous gift to myself. In this world of non-stop stimulus, I cherished the time I spent in comfort and silence. I almost felt separate from my body, in that my body was feeling grateful and thanking me for the opportunity to completely relax. I know that sounds odd, but that's how it felt. What a respite for my nervous system! In giving my body the permission to let go, it gave my "monkey mind" a place to air its grievances without judging them or myself. While none of these thoughts were completely new to me, I so appreciated the platform that restorative gave me to visualize these thoughts and give them the attention they needed so they could say their piece, feel heard, and float away. After these sessions, I felt happy, light, calm and ready to take on the day in a mindful way. The mind/body connection is a powerful one! Thanks, Pamela, for the refresher course in self-compassion. read more

Pamela's compassionate, direct approach, combined with her extensive training in mindfulness and experiential approaches make her a really effective healer. I observed and experienced Pamela's work during two years of training on a weekly basis. Pamela's warmth really creates trust with her clients and shines through immediately. Where other therapists might hold back, Pamela's direct style gets to core material quickly. She's also really good at guiding the client into deeper levels of exploration, and helping them move through difficult places. I can say that I recommend her without hesitation as a great healer. read more
