He eventually developed an anxiety with getting groomed but Rachel and her staff have always handled him with great care despite his little attitude. They have different themes for post grooming photo shoots and a beautiful boutique to spoil your pooch! 9/12/24: Hi Rachel, As far as my being "confused and annoyed" I was not "confused." If anyone was confused it was your receptionist. The conversation I described is nearly verbatim and she should have been transparent from the get-go/my first call, and that she was not is wholly on you for not supplying her with a clear and concise script/messaging for new clients. As far as being "annoyed," yes, that was correct on your part: I was annoyed. Also, please, don't take this review "as a compliment." I am unclear as to how 1 star could possibly be construed as a "compliment" (now I am "confused") and if you are being serious or being snide, but to be abundantly clear: this review is not a compliment. I'm writing about your shop 6 months later because 1) I do not to write spur of the moment, emotional, poorly thought out reviews and I let some time pass and re-evaluate; and 2) I pass your shop every day so I am reminded of my experience every day. As far as your 6 groomers toiling 6 days a week: consider opening up your hours beyond 8 hours a day to accommodate the needs of the community you serve. It is about a one minute walk from from my home and would not take my dog. I called to make an appointment for my older dog and the person who answered the phone took my information and was pleasant enough and then asked my dog's breed. When I said she was a doodle, she all of a sudden said she had no appointments. I hung up and then called back and asked her why she had appointments and then all of a sudden--when she heard the breed--she did not. She said--lol--"we do not have appointments for many months." I said, "I don't mind waiting." She said, "Well, it wouldn't be fair to our regular customers." I asked "Why?" She said "Because they will want to come in and will not be able to because new customers will have their spot." I said, "So you don't have enough staff?" She said, "No, we have enough staff." I got tired of her whack-a-mole answers and excused myself. I mean, just put a sign on the door that says "Doodles Not Welcome," like it's a diner in pre-Civil Rights Amendment era Birmingham, Alabama. Based on other reviews, the owner is popular and has a following from her prior location. However, she should be reminded that this is a dog grooming business and, like all businesses in Eastdale, it is supposed to serve a previously underserved area. Eastdale was constructed with a mission to deliver services and products to Arlington residents--not to people who decided to follow Rachel from 30 minutes away. Meanwhile my dog is a sweet natured four year old Doodle who I brush every day (she loves to lay on her back and get brushed) and bathe once a week (she's an outdoorsy gal!) Nice conclusion: I found a terrific groomer and we have had a monthly appointment with her for the last 6 months. read more

Absolutely amazing! We moved and were traveling to our old groomer until they sold their business. We Found Pampered Pooch online and took a chance after reading their reviews, absolutely no regrets! We had an early morning appointment and I was having trouble getting both dogs out the car. Rachel came out and helped me unload them! My dogs are nervous and can be reactive. I have been bring my dog Koda to Rachel for 3 yrs now and she is amazing with Koda. she is very loving to the dogs and does an awesome job on his grooming. I took my golden retriever for a grooming, afterwards I noticed behind his right ear was red, raw and inflamed (looked like he was cut with the shears) the other ear was fine. I spoke with Rachel about my concerns, she said there was nothing she could do to help me. I am now off to the vetinary office for antibiotics for the infection that my dog has as a result of the visit to Pampered Pooch. Be aware, not great with customer service or pets. read more

I took my puggle named Suzi Q here for the 1st time today. What a difference from other grooming places I have taken her to before. She looked terrific and when I picked her up she wasn't begging to get out of there like she has at other places. Her nails were perfect, and her teeth were the whitest I have ever seen them.
