Shane's deep tissue massage is everything. Gifted hands and arms indeed. Well worth a visit if you like being pampered while on vacation.

The island of St. Croix is small, if I remember its only like 15 miles across, while St. Croix isn't the swankiest of all the USVI its the most real, very down to earth. Located on its own side of the island, further away from the more populated parts of the island is The Buccaneer Hotel, it has a stunning private beach and a few decadent restaurants on its grounds, it also boasts a HUGE golf course with stunning views of the crystal water. The Hideaway Spa is located next to the gym and the hotels boutique store, its small, only a few rooms however you can expect stellar service from its small staff. When my family still lived in the islands I would visit The Buccaneer 4 times a year, I'd book my appointments over the course of an entire day, and leave feeling relaxed and pampered. You can book package deals or go a la carte. My favorite treatments included the Sea Silk Body Polish tacked onto a massage, it leaves your skin feeling elastic and fresh. The Radiant Renewal Facial is stunning after a week spent soaking up sun on beautiful private beaches. And don't forget to throw in a mani/pedi, you cant stroll the beach with gnarly looking toes.

Well, apparently that's too much to ask for because I waited 45 minutes and the one lady who does pedicaures never showed up. Then the manager made me wait to come talk to me and she never showed up! The most unprofessional experience of my life. I will tell everyone not to come here. I wish I could give negative stars.

There is a lap pool, bar, restaurant, and beach on premises. There are tennis courts and a gym. The marina is adjacent to our hotel. On the downside, the bed mattresses are quite hard, the balcony door is incredibly hard to open, the beach is not well-cared for, the pool is freezing, it gets very loud when there is a band/performance at the bar/restaurant, you have to bring your own tennis rackets for the tennis courts, and the front desk staff was not very friendly.

The hotel has a beach, but its not for swimming just for looking out at, which I didn't mind much I just taxied over to Buccaneer Resort up the road. The rooms are clean, neat, and islandy in theme (wicker furniture, ceramic tile floors, aqua blue balcony walls). It was comfortable and I felt very safe on the property. The hotel staff is very nice and were quite helpful. I suggest you go to Seaside (grocery/deli/wine shop) to pick up some items for breakfast or lunch, because the hotel at times may not provide breakfast for whatever reason. The resort is somewhat secluded. The resort restaurant Deep End is a huge plus with good food, drinks, by the pool , and housing the best bands on the island who come in and play various days of the week. I would totally stay here again just for my lovely ocean view room alone.

Our therapists showed up about 20 minutes late and after setting everything up in our room, we didn't get started until 10:30am....thirty minutes late. We informed them that we would need them to end the massage a little early at 11:15 because we had something planned after. They were very apologetic. The massages were pretty good and had our bodies feeling relaxed after. As they were packing up after, they said they would talk to their boss and inform them they were late and to discount our service. They said I would be receiving a call from the person charging me to discuss further. Fast forward to later in the evening and I received a receipt for the service, no phone call, and saw they only took off $10 for this inconvenience. Please keep in mind they charge $30 to come to Margaritaville...additionally they added a TIP without even consulting me! According to their website, they only add gratuity for 4 or more people. Photos of receipt for proof. Super unprofessional/disappointing experience for the amount we paid in my opinion. Also wouldn't have tipped them $64. Would not recommend. Two stars are purely for the massages and the piece of aloe plant they brought for my sunburn.

Boel and Julia are just amazing!

I get massages and facials on a regular basis at home. I was expecting more soundproofing for the service rooms. You could hear everything that was happening in the waiting area. The massage therapist was wonderful. The facial was less than what I was use to. There was a lot of down time and the esthetician left the room a couple times stating she needed to get product. I am not sure exactly what was happening but at one point I heard something that sounded like someone opening up a garbage bag. It was not a relaxing experience. I was surprised the extractions were done manually. At home my esthetician uses a machine that is less invasive. There was 1 cleanse, 1 mask, and, at most, a 1 minute face massage to incorporate products into my skin. While letting the mask dry there was a foot massage, but it was very uneven. The esthetician spend 3-4 minutes on one foot and maybe 1 minute for the other. The cost was not worth the experience. I would return for the massage only.
