There is a walking path along the river, with plenty of benches for sitting as well. The views of the Susquehanna and the bridge are very beautiful. When I visited this past Saturday, I walked over from town (an easy walk), but there was plenty of parking at the Trails Center, too. I just spent a few minutes here, enjoying the views, but I have been happy to read my book on a bench with those views if I hadn't had such a packed itinerary for my time in Columbia!

Every once in a while you drive past a place so many times that it almost becomes part of the…read morescenery. That was the Turkey Hill Experience for me. I'd driven past it countless times over the last few years but either didn't have enough time to stop or couldn't convince anyone else to stop with me. During my Lancaster Adventure Day, though, all of that changed. I purchased a Single Scoop ticket online ahead of time for $16.75 and reserved the very first time slot of the day at 10am. I figured a late-summer Thursday morning would be the sweet spot, and it turned out to be a great decision. It was busy enough that the place felt lively but not so crowded that I had to wait for every exhibit. Parking was plentiful, and I somehow managed to snag a spot right in front of the GIANT cow out front. Honestly, my day was already off to a fantastic start! The only hiccup of the visit came during check-in. Even though I'd already purchased my ticket online, I still had to wait in the same line as everyone buying gift shop items, purchasing admission and asking questions. Since there were only a two employees working both the registers and admissions, the line moved a little slower than I expected. If I could change one thing, it would be creating a separate express check-in line for folks who already have tickets. Once I finally made it inside, though, everything became easy peasy! The exhibits are completely self-guided, so you can wander at your own pace learning how Turkey Hill makes its ice cream and iced tea while playing with interactive displays along the way. One of my favorite parts was creating my own virtual ice cream flavor, complete with custom packaging. I also wanted to film my own Turkey Hill commercial, but those stations stayed busy the entire time I was there, so that'll have to wait until another visit. Naturally, I made a beeline for the tea sampling station. As someone who appreciates sugar-free options, I was thrilled to find both Zero Sugar Sweet Tea and Zero Sugar Fruit Punch available to sample. Both were fantastic! Then it was time for the part we'd all been waiting for...unlimited ice cream samples. One thing I really appreciated is that they weren't tiny little "blink and it's gone" samples. You picked two flavors, and they served actual scoops in a bowl. For an attraction centered around ice cream, that felt exactly right. My only tiny complaint? Wooden popsicle sticks instead of spoons. They definitely got the job done, but they made eating melting ice cream a little more awkward than it needed to be. Still...free and unlimited ice cream? I'm not about to complain too loudly! I spent about an hour wandering through the exhibits, playing with the interactive displays and enjoying the air conditioning on a hot August morning before making one final stop in the gift shop. Prices there were about what you'd expect for a tourist attraction, but there were plenty of fun souvenirs if you're looking to bring a little Turkey Hill home with you. Overall, I'd absolutely recommend visiting the Turkey Hill Experience at least once. I don't know that it's somewhere I'd return over and over again, but it was a fun, interactive way to spend an hour learning something new, eating entirely acceptable quantities of free ice cream and escaping the August heat. That sounds like a pretty successful adventure day to me!

Their products are exceptional quality and delicious! Old Line was opened by 2 friends who flew together in the Navy, and their main bar area (the "Ready Room") looks like you're on an aircraft carrier - so cool! There's seating in the rickhouse and in nice weather there's an outdoor area that's really nice. They have food trucks that come through fairly regularly and offer drink specials and events that are fun and reasonably priced. Check this place out - you won't regret it!

It was a cold day but they had some heaters to make it more comfortable. Plenty of seating out there. That had a bad offering two whiskey samples and two beer samples from Monument City Brewery. They also had a small bar that you could order three different cocktails. $10 is the regular price but only $5 during happy hour from 4-6. Not food inside but there was a food truck right out front you could get something to eat at. It's pet friendly, I saw a few people with dogs. I will definitely be back for some of their special events. I only tried the Whiskey but they also have vodka and rum. I want to do their tour as well.

She did a good job of pausing to allow loud traffic to pass ensuring we didn't miss anything. My favorite story was about the experiences folks had in the Fulton Theater - are any of us surprised the most intense experience occurred in the basement?? The tour starts at the Soldiers and Sailors Monument, at the junction of King and Queen Streets, across the street from the main entrance to the Hotel Marriott Convention Center. Street parking available but it's just easier to park in one of the many garages located a block or two away. The tour is roughly 75 minutes, all sidewalk; those with mobility challenges would likely do just fine. I added this business to Yelp because it's a cute experience and I'd like for them to get a little more exposure (booking websites have reviews but I came to Yelp looking to schedule fun activities). We were blown away as we drove in the Gettysburg Museum and Visitor Center. It opened in April…read more2008, is meticulously clean and impeccably maintained. The building's thoughtful design really sets the tone for a meaningful visit. They've done an outstanding job sharing the layered stories of the Battle of Gettysburg--why it happened, how it unfolded, and its lasting impact on our nation. Their storytelling truly honors the sacrifices made, weaving history into every exhibit. Staff were exceptionally helpful and knowledgeable. The interactive displays were a highlight--my kids especially loved the miniature cannon where they could "pull the trigger," and the realistic cannon shells you could actually lift to feel their weight. Super engaging! And please, Don't skip the Cyclorama. This massive 360° painting weighs a staggering 8 tons--4 tons of canvas and 4 tons of paint--and it's presented so vividly you feel like you're standing there in the middle of the battlefield. In short, the Gettysburg Museum and Visitor Center delivers history with clarity, compassion, and creativity. A truly unforgettable visit -- 5 stars all the way!

End of an amazing trip! Initially we were a bit reluctant to plan this. We wanted to go but we had…read morelots of questions and hesitations. So we looked up the reviews and pictures from African Mecca Safaris and decided to contact Ali. Ali first told me to tell him what your preferences and hesitations are and I will address each one. I literally had a whole list. Lol. I am scared of animals coming too close to us. I am worried that we will get sick. I am worried about safety. I am worried about staying in cabins overnight all the way in Africa. I wanted a mix of safari and beach. My husband wanted to take his dad on this trip as his retirement gift. This was the initial reason we started planning it a year ago. He literally answered all our questions even on what to pack for the trip. Ali had to accommodate 3 generations. My father in law, me and Saad, and of course our kids. We had a meeting with him and he went over all our concerns and he came up with an itinerary that was just right for all of us. He gave me different options and didn't rush us to finalize things right away. We did a mix of safari, beach and some historical sights. We were welcomed by two people right when we got out of the plane and we literally had someone with us for the whole trip. He arranged all of the local flights. Again someone stayed with us until we boarded and someone was always there when we got off the plane. We didn't have to worry about one thing. His staff in Africa was very nice and went above and beyond to make sure that we are comfortable. Ali was always in touch with us too. During the trip we always had excellent views, beautiful and clean cabins with attached bathrooms. We had wifi, electricity and very comfortable beds. I literally didn't see any bugs in our cabins. We had booked 3 cabins and rooms in every place. Each one with its own special view. We had a nice family villa with private pool for us in Zanzibaar. I noticed that a lot of people were doing group safaris and tours but we always had a car, a chauffer and a dedicated guide just for our family. Ali is a parkland dad and he knows these kids really well. He made sure that we all stayed comfortable through out the trip. He honestly provided us with way more than we asked for including two surprise cakes for my father in law for his retirement. Me and my husband can't thank him enough for all that he did to make this such a memorable trip for all of us. Also no one, literally no one got sick during our trip. I took so many medicines but the whole pack came back untouched. I am so glad we pushed ourselves out of our comfort zone because it was all worth it. The guides were very understanding and cooperative. We saw the big 5 and a lot more. Lions in action. Cheetah's taking a stroll. birds chirping. rhinos, giraffes, elephants. Zebras playing around. I am already missing our bonfire dinners, wake up call coffees, African hospitality, breakfast in the valley and not to mention the yummy fresh juices and delicious lattes. Witnessing how all these animals can live in so much harmony was mind blowing. I realized animals are content with what they get for that day and are very happy to chill and enjoy the sun for the rest of the day. If you really want to see and understand the meaning of Hakuna Matata, please go and learn it from those animals :)

Raza helped us prepare the paperwork and officiant to have a truly valid marriage happen. Unfortunately, COVID derailed the official wedding plans as the Kenyan marriage office shut down the day we were there to file the paperwork. Raza was in constant communication with us every step of the way to ensure we were able to maximize the rest of our booking and safari plans, including a photographer for engagement/wedding photos. We had a great trip with the itinerary that Raza setup for us with Governors and would highly recommend Raza to plan your Safari and any unique requests that you may have. We just returned from a Caribbean Cruise scheduled through Michelle Stone. Michelle again has done…read morea great job. Scheduling hotels, transportation etc. Upon arrival back to port on Sunday Michelle was already contacting us to let us know that our flight back to Philly that day was cancelled. She made the reservations for us at a Miami hotel Sunday night and got us a flight the next day. This is my 3rd time working with Michelle and she always comes through in a pinch. Now as far as the cruise. I was not a big fan of Norwegian. We picked the cruise so this is not at all a criticism of Outfitters! We paid for the unlimited drink package but in Norway water must not be a drink! Bottled water was a charge. Some alcoholic drinks required an up charge. even a milk shake required an up charge. So no more Norwegian for me! I gave a 5 Star due to the excellent job by Michelle. If i rated Norwegian it would only be 1 star

The Hershey complex is huge! There's an amusement park, a waterpark, an animal park, a beautiful…read morehotel that was built in the early 30s, a campground/RV park, as well as an arena and even a stadium. One ticket that gets you into all three parks is $84.95 if you buy it by walking up to the gate. there are discounts for seniors/juniors/military/veterans, , or if you buy your tickets in advance online. You also get to come in for free the last two hours before closing the day before your ticket, , to give you a preview. Also, In town, is a Hershey Museum, that goes into the history of Milton Hershey in more detail. Unfortunately, I didn't have time to see it. At the center of it all, is Hershey's chocolate world. (separate review.) that has a lot of different activities, as well as lots of shopping. All except for one of the activities costs, so I decided to just do the trolley tour. The price of the trolley tour is reasonable. It's the same price for all ages, but they do offer military/veteran discounts. The trolley tour was lots of fun. It takes you throughout the town of Hershey, they tell you about the story of Milton Hershey, and you get to see different spots that are part of the Milton Hershey Legacy. It takes you past the Hershey mansion, which he built in 1906, for only roughly $50,000, not including landscaping or furnishings. Imagine that in today's money... It's a pretty little town, and there is just so much to see. The narration can get a little "hokey", but I'm not complaining, as it's "hokey" in a fun way. Plus, there's free chocolate! Mr. Hershey was a philanthropist, who believed in giving back to his community. He founded the Milton Hershey school, which continues to this day. It's for children 4 through 15, from low income families, and it is all free of charge. Our guide was so insightful and so funny - we spent a lot of time laughing, learning, and enjoying our 90 minute tour of Hershey, PA. There were plenty of candy surprises along the way, from kisses to Reese's cups to caramels, and the time flew by as we experienced all Hershey had to offer. Cannot recommend this tour enough - it really was so well developed and so well done, and while it's a bit pricey, it's worth every penny to gain a newfound appreciation for all of Milton Hershey's work and legacy.
