Unique pastries and bread. Prices so low I always tip the owner. Great new startup business and super friendly service.

Amazing bakery! They make the best flan in the area (which is also sold at Cocoa Cinnamon). Be sure to visit the store for more goodies!

It was wriiten about by Bob Garner for Our State Magazine in November 2007, and repeated in 2009, I think, where he proclaimed the country style steak served here to be some of the best around. The place is difficult to find if you don't know the area - it is near Weaver Strret Market, but you are probably better off turning left off S. Churton on to Orange Grove Road, then immediately to the left on Exchange Park Lane - it'll be on the left after 1/2 mile or so. Small place with 6 or 8 small, close together tables. The food is in a series of steam table trays (like Pete's Grill in Gibsonville), and will consist of 3 or 4 meat choices, and 5 or 6 side dish items - good idea to call a head to see what is on for the day. Usual items are Stewed Beef Ribs, CS Steak, Fried Chicken, Chicken & Dumplings, Pork Chops, Salmon Cakes, Mashed Potatoes, Greens, Cabbage, Squash & Onions, and more. You tell the very nice gentleman what you want (Meat comes with 2 sides and a piece of Fried Cornbread), he fixes your plate, and you find a seat. Drinks are sweet tea and sodas. The CS Steak we tried was very, very flavorful, if a bit chewy - the gravy was perfect. The Corn and Peas & Carrots were ok, but plainly canned, though seasoned well, but needed a boost from salt. The Chicken & Dumplings were more what I would call Chicken & Pastry since the dumplings were thin sheets of delicious dough. Whatever the name, this dish was among the best version of this I've ever eaten, nearly as good as my standard for this dish, that served by Bum's in Ayden. The Greens were ok, again not fresh, but the Potato Casserole was outstanding, loaded with potatoes and cheese. The Fried Cornbread was nice, but a little on the greasy side - ate it all, though. Two meals, with sodas, was just under $15, a little for lunch, especially considering the portions size - not particularly large. They serve a very, very nice Chili Dog here for $1. The chili, which is on the sweet side, supposedly the same as served by the late, lamented Amos and Andy hot dog restaurant in Durham - ate a dog or two ther back in the day. Folks here are warm, friendly, very much "seasoned" citizens, and very pleasant to talk with. Come for the food, and the experience - places like this are disappearing at an alarming rate, and are not being replaced.
