FANTASTIC food. The French toast is amazing, everything is affordable (less than $10). The service is slow, but that's largely because they are so busy. Tried to eat at this place twice. Both times unsuccessfully. The first time, nobody even acknowledged our presence in front of the counter for roughly 15 minutes, so we left. There was nobody inside except us. The second time, we came in around noon. Same treatment. We called the person behind the counter to be served after a 10-minute wait right in front of him. He turned around with a sour face, noticed that his friends were walking in, said 'THE LINE STARTS THERE' (pointing at his friends who were in the middle of the dining area by then). Needless to say, we were in our way out in no time. I understand the 'locals first' policy for the ferry but, in a tourist-driven economy like Culebra's, this is not just unacceptable, this is beyond good or evil. I hope that the next hungry tourist is a pyromaniac. Culebra is too good to have places like this. read more

Really good coffee. Be nice and try to speak Spanish first. They're already serving you. It's the least you can do. If it's busy, yeah, you'll wait, so know what you're ordering and when. Great fresh bread, easy to go coconut custard, which my partner loved so much she took like two bites at a time throughout the day just to milk its goodness. Got a cinnamon roll that was great with coffee. If you've never been to PR and its islands then you may have different expectations of the other breakfast items, but all the food I saw was typical breakfast, solid and good! I had a lovely morning coffee, doughnut and breakfast wrap at Pan Deli. The interior is as lovely and colorful as the rest of the island, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Both times visited it was bustling with locals and tourists. Can mean a bit of a wait on your breakfast sandwich or cafe con leche, but it's worth checking out. I tried both the huevo, queso y jamon as well as the eggs, bacon and toast. Both were tasty choices. read more

After waiting almost an hour for my food which I get it, it's the only place to get breakfast in this island, I finally receive my breakfast but had to wait until they served others after me to ask to get my coffee (which was supposed to come before my food). This "bakery" is horrible and shouldn't be called that. A native Puerto Rican should know they serve "Mi Pan", which is a pre-made dough that's sold in gas stations around the island. It's not even their own bread. Aside from that detail, the attention here is nonexistent. We ordered two sandwiches, two coffees and a malta and had to wait half an hour. The sandwiches finally came out and there were no drinks served. It took almost 15 additional minutes to get them to serve the drinks. One of the clients had a heated verbal discussion with one of the employees and they almost got into a brawl. Unhappy customers everywhere and mediocre food. If you want good breakfast, Vibra Verde is just steps away from this place and the food/service quality is so much better. Plus you'll contribute to maintain a green Culebra. read more

Average sandwiches/wraps, pastries (selection limited to donuts, apple turnovers, guava turnovers, and questions), and breakfast (eggs, breakfast meats, pancakes, french toast). Cheap.
