Split the delicious spring mix salad with crunchy prosciutto and figs followed by 12oz rib eye medium rare with a demi glace sauce and changed mashed sweet potatoes for regular mashed potatoes, served with seasonal vegetables of asparagus and green carrots, $48. I was nervous when I saw how thin the steak was, and the demi place looked like gravy. But the steak was a perfect medium rare and quite tasty. The sauce was different, but good. Despite the low customer count during our visit, service at Panderri was extremely slow. Pretty limited seating both inside and out. It's never ideal watching patrons who came in after you receiving their larger meals first. I wanted a lighter breakfast this morning and the yogurt bowl just about hit the spot. This bakery was close to our airbnb, so we paid a visit for breakfast. The place looks clean, neat, all the pastries look delicious in the display case. We were seated outside on their porch. I ordered a ham, egg and cheese croissant along with one of their juices. Unfortunately I don't remember their name but it was very nice. The croissant was also good, it came on a wooden board with a newsprint tissue which was a cute touch but honestly kind of over the top? In my opinion something doesn't become fancy when you put it on a special wooden board. At the end of the day it's still a ham and cheese croissant... My bf ordered the crab eggs Benedict and a fruit toast. The benny portion was pretty small, but it was tasty. The toast didn't come out for a really long time, to the point where we thought it was forgotten about and had to ask about it. I don't mind waiting, but we had both long since finished our food and wanted to get on with our day. I should also mention it was not busy at all. Overall, the food was not bad and I am giving my rating based on the taste. Everything tasted good! But while reviewing the totals of how much I had spent on restaurants during our trip, I couldn't help but gawk at the sight of a nearly $100 charge on my credit card. We ate at so many breakfast places in PR, this place was by far the most expensive. For what we got, I would expect anywhere from 30-60 dollars. I find it difficult to justify this price for a run-of-the-mill type breakfast many places offer on the island. The service was fantastic, no complaints at all. My husband got the caramel pancakes and a cappuccino which he liked. He couldn't finish the pancakes as they were filling. I ordered make your own omelet ( I got all the vegetables and cheese) which came with potatoes. It was ok I'm not sure what the eggs were made with they were really thick it was a little high in cost. We both got waters which we are fine with tap water but didn't specify as you need to at restaurants down here or you get charged for bottled water which I knew and was my fault. So for 2 waters, pancakes, cappuccino and my omelet with potatoes was $43 before tip. All and all $51 for a breakfast is a bit steep to do everyday while here. We are going to try a few other places while here. On another note their bakery items looked amazing and there was a line of people coming in to get those so they must be good. read more

Its very unfortunate that the service at this place really sucks. Slow, slow, slow. Yes I get it. It's not a fast food restaurant but we sat down to wait more than 20 minutes for them to take our drink order. By the time we put our drink order we were ready for our food order. I asked the girl if she can also take our food order and she said no not yet. Waited a long time again for our order to get taken and brought out. Food was beautiful and very good but the service really suck. By the time we got our food we finished our drinks and were not asked if we want refills. I called ahead to make sure there was enough space for our group since it was a party of 9. And we simply sat in two separate tables. The waitress was very nice and polite and spoke English as well. There are some dishes that you are not able to substitute which was a little disappointing but nevertheless the food was delicious. For 9 dishes a chocolate cake and around 15 drinks it came out to a total of around 300 bucks. There's a small parking lot for about four cars but there's street parking. We came here on a pit stop in heading back to San Juan from Fajardo. This place is small and we did come closer to closing time so the selection was limited by the time we came in. Every time I'm in PR, ai have to go and have my coffee and the Turkey Especial, however, this time was a bit disappointing. Perhaps it may be that they have a new cook or they are probably saving due to inflation, but found that the sandwich was lacking the goat cheese with the cranberry, and the bread was also different. Great spot! We stopped on the way to El Yunque for the day. Opens early which is nice since not many spots do in the area. We found parking on the street right out front. We got hot tea and sandwiches for the road. The sandwiches were amazing to enjoy after several hours of hiking at the top of Los Picachos. I got the Boricua and my boyfriend got the Cuban. The music was very loud and they refused to turn it down either inside or outside. The breakfast was delicious. For dinner my partner got the skirt steak and he said it was wonderful. However, it was supposed to come with polenta, but he got mashed potatoes. I ordered the filet mignon, but it was just a basic piece of tenderloin with gristle and not tender.
