Lately, though, I've found myself switching to Channel 7 in the mornings. Brian Gallo sucks as a weather reporter. I wake up at 4:55 a.m. and only have until about 5:15 a.m. to catch the news before I start my day. During that short time, the weather forecast is one of the things I care about most. In the summer, I mainly want to know the high temperature for the day. In the winter, I want to know whether it's going to rain. I've noticed that during the weather segment, there can be a lot of discussion that doesn't answer those basic questions. By the time the forecast is over, I often still have to ask Alexa what the weather will be today. I can already tell what the current weather feels like when I step outside, and I don't really need a detailed explanation about the wind or visibility unless it's going to have a significant impact. I'd really appreciate it if the forecast could focus more on the day's high temperature and any chance of rain.
